This place is AMAZING! Max(Alexander Guest House was in touch with us from the minute we booked through a third party until the day we arrived. The lo ation is great. Walking distance to museums, St. Peter, etc... The place is very secure, comfortable, welcoming, and SUPER CLEAN. I will definitely recommend it and will stay here again. We made the right selection to stay here.

It was great other than there being quite a lot of noise on two of the nights of the four night stay from a neighbour (the room opened into a courtyard 4 floors high) solved by shutting the windows and putting on the air con. Not keen on there being a 40 euro charge for late arrivals past 7pm!

We had a wonderful experience at Residenza Alexander Guest House. Max was waiting for us when we arrived, and was so helpful both in letting us know how things worked within the guest house and to give us so many great hints and tips for what to see, where to eat, directions to places etc. The room itself was immaculately clean, well presented and had the comfiest beds EVER! We slept so well. We loved being able to open the huge windows to let in the fresh air, too. The location was absolutely perfect. It’s central to so much (the Vatican, Piazza del Popolo for example, are only about a 15 minute walk) but it feels away from the tourist hustle and bustle. The guest house is in a lovely area, and shares the street with lots of designer stores. After visiting the likes of the Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps which were so busy, we loved coming back to the guest house. It felt like an oasis in the middle of Rome! We will absolutely return if we come to Rome in the future, and wouldn’t consider staying anywhere else. Thank you so much Max- Residenzia Alexander Guest House is a credit to you.

What we liked the most was the location. Supermarkets, shops and bus station were all very close, and Vatican Museum just 15min by foot. Also, overall state of the room, everything very clean and with all the necessary equipment to make it comfortable and safe. Also very quiet! No noises from the street. Finally, the bed and pillows were especially comfortable allowing us to rest well, so thank you for that!!

I don't have anything in mind, but maybe the fact that there is an old and small elevator, so carrying big luggages may not be so convenient.

Max is a kind and good man. I booked the room way back in May, and he always quickly responded to my questions regarding our upcoming stay. We arrived quite early and Max was waiting there for us. He helped us carry our bags to the old and quaint little elevator that took us up to the apartment. As we did arrive quite early, our room was still being cleaned. We waited in the lounging area and Max chatted with us. He's an interesting and friendly man. He bought the apartment years ago and converted it into a four room rental. Our room was large and bright, with a nice and modern bathroom. There was a coffee maker, kettle, coffee and tea available in the room. There was a small television on the wall. He also provided us with an iron at my request. The beds and pillows were comfortable and the room was very clean. It was also very quiet each and every night. No traffic noises and no noises from the 3 other guest rooms. Charging stations for our electronics were provided right beside the beds and nightstands. The apartment is located in a great location. Easy walking distance to the popular sights. Max also generously provided us with a map on which he marked the sights we wanted to visit as well as recommendations for wonderful Italian restaurants. We really liked the plastic credit card type cards that we were given for the outside doors and room key. You just need to tap the one card against the key pad to open all the doors. Brilliant! I wouldn't hesitate for a second to book with Max again. I have traveled a lot in my 63 years and this is honestly among the very best private rentals I've ever been to.

I didn't like that we had to leave Rome and Max's lovely apartment.

We loved everything about Residenza Alexander! Our host, Max, was amazing! He was incredibly kind and helpful with every minute question we had regarding transportation, restaurant recommendations, historical sites, etc., during our entire stay. We loved the beautiful modernized room, in a perfect location within walking distance to the historical sites, shopping, restaurants and grocery stores. We would definitely stay at the Residenza Alexander should we return to Rome in the future!

Excellent location right on a shopping street in Prati area. Lots of great restaurants nearby. Host was excellent with communication and met me early to drop our bags. He also helped arrange parking nearby in a safe and convenient lot. He gave great recommendations on food and routes to walk around Rome.

It’s in a renovated apartment building so there isn’t a large lobby or gathering area. Our room was large and had a small fridge and coffee maker so it didn’t really bother us.

It was a very special experience. Max was nice to deal with and provided services to us as quickly as possible. The price was appropriate for the quality of service and cleanliness of the rooms. It was distinguished by its strategic location, which my wife and I enjoyed. If I return from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia again to Rome, I will choose this hotel. Thanks Max

The room was clean, comfortable and modern. There were four layers of locked doors so we felt very safe. We never saw another person so it was like having our own apartment in Rome. The room is away from the noise and busyness of touristy Rome.

It wasn't the owners fault that he was in the hospital. His father and cousin met us when we arrived and they were very nice. The hotel is more like staying in an AirBNB. It would have been nice if someone had been there to answer questions - restaurant recommendations and transportation issues.

Many thanks to Max for warm welcome and all great recommendations! 🫶 It was nice to find some snacks and drinks in the room. It was especially nice that we could make coffee as there was everything we needed. Spacious and comfortable bathroom, everywhere was clean and tidy. We felt very cozy during our entire stay.
