Lovely, spacious room with an incredible shower (water from all directions), good breakfast and a great location. The building was also really interesting with a fabulous 'old style' lift. Really close to the Roma Termini train station and 25 minute walk to the Colosseum and we walked into the city which took about an hour. If you are not a walker, the Metro links are also really nearby and easy to navigate. We also found a great little restaurant next door - reasonable price and great food.

Our room was lovely, clean and spacious but it was on the ground floor and the view out of the large window was a brick wall. This meant the room was really dark with no natural light. In fairness, they did say we could change the room to one on the fifth floor which was still nice with light but it was smaller and it didn't have the same shower. Out shower was amazing so we stayed in the dark room, we were out most of the time anyway.

I highly recommend it! The room was very large and spacious, everything was really clean, and the breakfast was great too. We received instructions beforehand.

Since our check-in was after 10 PM, there was no one at the front desk. I have no complaints about the hotel itself, but it would have been perfect with a 24-hour reception. When I arrived, even with the instructions, I felt a bit lost in the building, the doors looked similar and the names on them too. I only found my way after meeting a guest who helped me. With someone at the reception 24/7, the experience would have been a 10 out of 10!

I really enjoyed my stay at Residenza Castrense. The room was clean and comfortable, and housekeeping came every day to tidy up and change the towels, which I really appreciated. Breakfasts were very tasty — simple but fresh and enough to start the day right. The staff at the reception were very friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with anything. The location is also excellent — close to public transport and in a quiet, convenient area. I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Rome. It’s a cozy, clean, and friendly hotel — I’d love to come back!

It was in a good location and it was very clean which I loved ! The room had AC which helped us tremendously since we were there beginning of August. The breakfast could have more options but the basics were there. We had a self check in which the instructions were easy to follow.

We paid for a room with a balcony and we did get one with a balcony however the AC unit took up nearly all the space on it and the big tubes that come out of it were a tripping hazard so we just stayed off it entirely

The location was central and you could access the historic building via Metro/Bus and if you liked walking most of the sights except the Vatican City unless you were fit. Good eateries in the vacinity.

The only down for us was the Mini Bar fridge was not working and it took a little time to replace, but that was probably due to it being a holiday weekend.

I really liked the convenience to Termini and Sapienza the property offered. Communication w staff was also great and the rooms and everything was very clean and taken care of. The bed was very comfortable (hard, not soft!)!

There’s a bit of construction going on in the building as well as offices so if you’re planning on sleeping in late I wouldn’t count on it. The breakfast is also minimal which is fine if you’re a coffee in the morning kind of person but not if you’re expecting a continental style breakfast.

Perfect location. Close to termani station yet super quiet. Staff super friendly and obliging. Room was huge - plenty of room to spread out (we had 2 very large luggage bags). Breakfast was a nice bonus. We’d definitely stay here again.

Water pressure is pretty low, but not a big issue. Would’ve liked tea/coffee and a kettle.

An amazing location close to Termini, super friendly stuff, the mattress of my dreams, tasty breakfast with good coffee, the room was cleaned every day, really nothing to complain about. One more time thank you guys for letting us leave the luggage at the day of check out 🫶

Everything was very nice, the room, location and the staff. There is a women, Elena, which i should mention as she was nice to explain on the map thing we were going to visit anyway, she helped us with a toothbrush kit too. The cleanliness of the room was top notch. Bedsheets done everyday. Good breakfast too but It could be improved or to be more diverse.

The location is very convenient, between La Sapienza University and Termini train station. The room was very quiet, clean, nicely furnished, and functional. Excellent value for money.
