I usually give quick numeric reviews but this time I really need to say more! If you are looking for a home away from home then DAGO farmhouse is the place for you! From the moment we made the reservation, Ilaria the owner sent us a welcoming note! The location is excellent for exploring Tuscany. The farmhouse is a gem. Beautifully decorated with tasteful linen, tablecloths, line napkins for all your meals! Ilaria is is a wonderful hostess, tour guide, counselor and many more! She made us feel welcome from the moment of arrival with our welcome drink! She helped us organized every single day and sent us links to even where to park!!!! And if you want to stay in and relax, you can enjoy Ilaria’s husband special cooking! I highly recommend DAGO Farmhouse!

The location is stunning—quiet and surrounded by nature, yet just a short drive from Siena. We were traveling with our dog, who absolutely loved the big garden and had a great time playing with the three lovely, well-behaved resident dogs. Ilaria is an exceptional host—warm, thoughtful, and incredibly generous. She didn’t charge anything extra for our dog, gifted us a bottle of wine during our stay, and even surprised us with small farewell gifts when we left. The room was spotless and comfortable, and the whole place has a relaxed, welcoming vibe. We felt truly at home and can’t wait to come back!

Such a special stay mostly thanks to Ilaria who made us feel welcome and received special attention. We met their two horses and we’re all hoping one of them is pregnant 🤞also, the view from the farmhouse and the stable is of Siena itself - really beautiful. Calm stay a short drive from the craziness in Siena. Ilaria explained where to park and how to get there, she also recommended top restaurants. We had delicious Pici Carbonara in the old town. Room was very calm and we slept really well. We were welcomed in the morning with a delicious breakfast with fresh egg and ham, and egg and tomato. Also had fresh croissants with fig jam, Nutella and honey. Everything was delicious. We’d love to stay again in this B&B and hope to meet Ilaria and her husband soon. We received a parting gift which was a first time ever 🤩

This blew our expectations, first time we booked this kind of accommodation so we were not sure what to expect. Ilaria the hostess was beyond amazing, we had dinner at their farm which they run as a family business, homemade dinner in private atmosphere overviewing Sienna in a beautiful garden is something that has to be on wish list of every Tuscany visitor. Room was very nice comfortable romantic A/C was perfect breakfast was served on the terrace with all home made productions of jams I mean what else is there. We honestly felt like their friends who came to visit. We saw the farm and horses and spectacular view there I can’t recommend this enough. See to believe.

Absolutely nothing

Ilaria is a great host. She is really knowledgeable about everything Tuscany and is up to date in terms of where and how to move around and admire the best of it. She does everything in her hands to support you as a guest. Breakfast was taken care with local pastries and even from preparations of her own. The Dago Farmhouse is really close to Siena and from there she can help you to plan daily trips either to the south east in direction to Montepulciano, to the north east to the Chianti region, to the west to Volterra and San Gimignano, to Sienna or local places around the property, or to Florence which is less than an hour and a half away by car. Yes, you need a car and the will to drive.

If you are looking for the whistles and perks of a hotel chain, this is not the place for you. You need to go there knowing you will be in a country area which is not next to a tourist tramp or in the middle of an ancient town.

We stayed 4 nights in this beautiful B&B. The location was very beautiful. The B&B is located on a hill and has a wide view over the hills and a beautiful view of Siena. The hostess made our trip to Tuscany even more beautiful. Her tips for visiting certain locations led us to very beautiful places. The hospitality is unprecedented. Nothing is too much. Whenever, she was always there for us.

We stayed 4 nights in this beautiful B&B. The hostess had a great tasty breakfast for us every day. This consisted of sandwiches, pastries, cookies, coffee and home-made fruit juice. This every day. We would have liked to see a bit of variety in the form of fresh fruit and/or yogurt, for example. But that's really a personal preference.

I was looking for a stay a bit more outside of Sienna, something on the countryside to relax. Yet one is quite fast in the city. The room was cozy with plenty of room for luggage and things. Everything designed with love. For sunny weather one could use the terrace as well. To me the absolute highlight was the super nice and caring host and the breakfast. I am vegan and had typical Italian breakfast just in the vegan version. It was so delicious that I can only recommend to everyone to ask for the vegan breakfast as well, even when you are not. It was the best breakfast ever!

Ilaria and her husband were fantastic hosts. Ilaria went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The breakfast was excellent; fresh pastries, and home made sandwiches with good coffee. We loved the surroundings and spent some time in the garden reading and relaxing. Ilaria took us to meet her two horses and the dogs which was fun. Very easy to get to Sienna for sightseeing and a lovely place to come back to for peace and quiet.

An amazing place with lovely, helpful hosts. Located few kilometres south of Siena, it's a perfect combination of tranquility, breathtaking views and multiple ways to enjoy Tuscany. Both Siena itself as well as little towns/villages are within few minutes ride by car. LOTS of hiking/cycling routes (road, gravel, MTB - you won't get bored, I assure you). Rooms are clean, with rustic-like, fitting touch. Probably the best place we were in during our trip (car + bicycles) to Tuscany. Highly recommended.

The breakfast was a delicious mix of sweet and savory from a local bakery with organic black tea and great cappuccino. Illary was a gracious host as was her husband and the beautiful property they have was so peaceful. She also gave us a fab recommendation for dinner in Siena that was a local experience with delicious food, as well as a great itinerary for us on our way. What a great base to stay at to travel around Tuscany.
