The facilities were beautiful. We especially enjoyed playing cards in the game room each night with a glass of wine, sitting by the fire enjoying a cocktail before dinner, and laying out and relaxing on the daybeds after a day in Siena. The staff was also AMAZING and extremely attentive, especially Michelle suggested an amazing winery and cheese farm for us to visit out in the countryside. The location is also PERFECT. Super close to Siena, which makes it perfect to head in for a day trip or even for dinner one night. One highlight of our final night was the live jazz music at the hotel, which truly was the perfect finishing touch to an already wonderful stay.

From our joyous greeting to the beautiful building . Was everything that we hoped for. The garden is just magical to sit in. There are many spots to do so. Near the pool in the courtyard under the magnificent magnolia. In the sitting room on such comfy sofas. The staff are so nice and genuine. Let’s talk eating… We had dinner there twice it’s delightful a twist on the usual fair of Italian food. The breakfast was perfect the room it’s in is divine. The choice was more than you need but everything you need. Our room was gorgeous so inspiring. Very comfortable . Caio till another time.

Having to leave

This was one of the best hotels we’ve stayed at in recent memory. Amazing ambiance. All the various corners and rooms of the hotel had curated books and objects in it, which was really fun to wander through. Felt very peaceful and romantic overall. Location was also great - very close to Siena and well located for other drives. Great selection at breakfast. Room was huge and quiet, great for sleeping. Service was amazing and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Hope to return 💛

Nothing. If I had to nitpick, having the pool heated would have been amazing!

Beautiful, large property with many downstairs common area rooms for relaxing. There is also a large outdoor groups that is upkept beautifully and gives plenty of options for morning strolls, cocktails, and conversation. The staff is exceptional and very very thoughtful. The rooms are old-school but comfortable and give a feeling of authenticity staying inside a historic charter house.

They have a restaurant on the property and the food is good but the menu is quite complicated, there aren’t many simple and easy to eat dishes. Because it is about 10mins outside of the city if you need food at night you have to use the restaurant. I wish they had a simpler lunch or late-night menu with basic soup, pasta, salad etc.

A gorgeous old monastery with amazing grounds with a beautiful swimming pool. The rooms have been thoughtfully decorated and are super comfortable with all modern amenities. Be The restaurant is outstanding both for dinner and breakfast buffet and the staff are next level amazing and very personable. Because it’s a small boutique hotel they know each of the guests. We had an incredible 4 night stay. Would much rather stay here with the beautiful aspect than in the old town as it’s a quick 10 minute drive in.

In a word everything

Our stay at Certosa was nothing more than spectacular! We had to make a last minute change to our plans for our homeymoon due to weather and chose to come to Siena and stay here and what a great decision that was! The property is beautiful and just magnificent! Michelle and the whole staff at Certosa are amazing, we felt that every single need we had was covered. Whether it was transportation, food or activities to do the Certosa team went above and beyond! It was 5 star service across the board and was a perfect end to our honeymoon! I cannot recommend this place more — it made our stay in Siena truly the best and hope we can visit again in the future!

Nothing.. this place is truly amazing

The property itself is beautiful and a little quirky. My room was gorgeous and very comfortable - the shower was so lovely! Great restaurant also with an interesting menu. Breakfasts were also very good. What really made the property stand out though was the exceptional service. Pre arrival I had been in contact with Alessia and Paula from reception and they were just as lovely in person as they were over email. Every member of staff was so friendly and charming, but I have to give a special mention to Antonio in the bar - what an amazing guy who embodies fantastic customer service - and he makes the BEST hot toddies!! Already looking forward to my return! Thanks for everything!!

The premise and the scenery are breathtaking. It is the ideal sanctuary for a few days away from pollution, noise, and crowds. All within a very reasonable price. The staff was kind and welcoming which made the stay feel so homie. Also, great music taste around the premises(and the staff was so kind to share the Spotify playlist). Dinners at the restaurant were quite good & you have the option to modify the dish to your liking. Cute friendly labrador wanting to be petted is a big plus for dog lovers too. All in all, I had a lovely stay. Would like to come back. Keep up the great work! If I had to be picky - perhaps an upgrade of the mattress would be worth it.

From the stunning grounds and room tonthe front desk staff, most everything was perfect.

There was some uneveness in the support staff(housekeeping). The main disappointment was that the hotel plays music much too loud. The music could be heard in our room until late in the evening. Music should remain in the background in such a setting. The staff should monitor families with small children to ensure that there is no disturbance to guests. We had children shouting outside of our room.

The property is stunning and set in a most beautiful Tuscan location. The history of the property , having been a Monastery , is really interesting.simply gorgeous Tuscan architecture , with its own beautiful working church within the building. The most wonderful part of the experience was the staff, lead by Michelle who is the best example of how to make guests feel special and like friends. Nothing was ever a problem. The masseuse was also amazing The food was delicious All in all , I would say without being over enthusiastic , that this had been the best hotel experience , for several reasons , that I have enjoyed.
