We just spent a week at the Palazzo during the August Palio, and I have to say, anyone who doesn't book here when it's available is beyond help. In our 20-plus years of visiting Siena, we have never stayed in a place that is run with such passion and enthusiasm. It's not just a hotel that follows the rules, even if it has 5 stars. Those mentioned know who I mean. Here you get first-hand information and knowledge. Thank you again, Francesca, for your support and, above all, for the helpful information about the Palio and the glimpse behind the scenes. The natural support in booking the restaurant after the Palio and so much more – that alone is priceless. The breakfast is top-notch and leaves nothing to be desired, including the delicacies made according to Mama's recipes. Breakfast is literally freshly prepared according to the guest's wishes. You can't ask for more, a fantastic experience. The location is better than anything we've had in the city centre so far, less than 2 minutes straight up the street and you're at the Campo. The parking arrangement they have with a garage a little outside the city is also worth mentioning, as is the owner of the garage himself. Old treasures as well as newer cars are well looked after there. A 10/10 for Francesca and Flaviano, where you feel like a friend and not a guest. We will certainly be back. Grazie mille.

The Palazzo de Vecchi was by far our favorite place that we stayed while in Europe. The rooms were absolutely amazing and everything was beautifully decorated. The attention to detail was flawless. Francesca and her husband were wonderful hosts! The made us feel like family instead of guests in their home. They were incredibly helpful with things like where to eat and which places to see while in Siena. Francesca is extremely knowledgeable of the history of Siena and eager to share it with her guests. She is also an amazing cook and made us the most wonderfully delicious breakfast in the morning. Palazzo de Vecchi is a treasure! We can’t recommend staying there enough and we hope to visit again!

Thank you to our lovely hosts Flaviano and Francesca who were waiting to welcome us when we arrived to the accommodation & even opened the car door upon arrival. Traditional service is what we're about & the hosts ticked all the boxes. They assisted with all luggage up to our room & we were given very clear instructions on how to access the building & our room upon arrival. We were advised of breakfast time which was so beautiful & held in the old original ballroom from the 15th century. It was just magic. The breakfast was beautifully displayed & a great selection, we were even offered a hot breakfast of bacon & eggs. The room itself was super spacious & we were informed about the history of the building & also informed that there were only 2 guest rooms which felt exclusive & that Flaviano & Francesca lived on site if in case we needed anything. We felt like we had the entire building to ourselves due to its size. We were also informed that all drinks & snacks in the room & fridge were all complimentary. Francesca mentioned you are not just visitors, you are our guests. We were provided with some wonderful suggestions & recommendations which was very helpful. We will highly recommend to family & friends, especially due to its location. Flaviano and Francesca are so happy and kind, and make you feel great. You feel like you are in their home. Thanks for everything during our stay!

Everything was perfect

Location is great. Actually couldn’t be better! At the center of Siena. Definitely recommend if you want to spend some time in the historic center. Inside there are no words to describe the hospitality and the beauty of this property. It is not a hotel. It’s a couples house which you will be treated like guests. There are a lot of square meters inside so don’t think that you will be too close to others. The privacy is also unique. Like you owe a house in Siena for few days.

Everything! Absolutely everything! Francesca and Flaviano were super helpful and gave us a lot of informațion, like where to eat and what to see. The location is in the middle of the city, super close to everything of interest. The pallazo, well, is well, truly magnificent. We had breakfast in a ballroom. Only two rooms in the castle. Our room was wonderful, big, with a huge bathroom. All the expected amenities present and much more. Recommend!

Wow! What a gem. Book this place if you possibly can. Only two rooms but luxury accommodations with outstanding service and a great breakfast. Located close to Il Campo and ask for restaurant recommendations for the best places to eat in town. Definitely the nicest place I have stayed in years.

Call when you get there - entrance is not obvious from the outside. This is not really a complaint - kinda silly to complain of a hidden gem being hidden!

Paradise in Siena - a beautiful very large room in a 16th/17th century palazzo (the room very modern, the rest of the building very not! - delightfully Italian). Two or three minutes walk from the Campo main piazza. Charming and very helpful hosts, delicious breakfast, and enough good restaurants within a few minutes walk to last a year. If arriving by car, ask for the Valet parking service (very easy and efficient)

Absolutely top quality accommodation. Enjoyed our stay immensely. Wonderful hosts who go above and beyond to welcome guests and ensure a great stay is experienced. Excellent location. Loved the history of this beautiful place. One in a million. Couldn't have wished for anything better for our last night in Italy!

you have to be aware that you are in the city center of Siena (sometimes noisy in the streets)

Francesca and Flaviano were very hospitable.. The location is in the perfect spot. Absolutely loved the 15th century building, the beautiful original doors, the breakfast room and the unique entry way and our room. We will definitely come back!
