Sebiana was EXCELLENT, giving a us wonderful advice for not only Syracuse and Ortigia but also Noto and Taormina. The property was stunning and we wish we had more time to spend there. If we don’t ever make it back we’ll certainly recommend this place to everyone we know

Quite far from Ortigia if you want to walk in and out multiple times in a day but they recommended a great car park if you have a car

Dimora Archimedea is a charming and elegant boutique hotel located about 800 meters from the Old City of Syracuse. The rooms and facilities are not only comfortable but also thoughtfully designed. Whoever was in charge of renovating this historic building did an outstanding job, blending modern comforts with authentic charm. We stayed at Dimora Archimedea for five nights during our family trip to Sicily, and every aspect of our stay exceeded expectations. One of the highlights was the family-style breakfasts served in the hotel’s picturesque patio. The food was delicious, and the personalized menu options made each morning special. A special thank you to the hotel manager, Ms. Sebiana Bracciante, for her warm hospitality. From the moment we arrived, Sebiana set up a WhatsApp group to facilitate communication, allowing us to ask questions, select breakfast menus in advance, and even get local recommendations. It was a brilliant touch—we’d never experienced anything like it before! Sebiana’s background in architecture and history truly enhanced our trip, as her insights and recommendations for daily excursions were invaluable. The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of many excellent restaurants. A particular favorite was Agora la Cantina—perfect for a leisurely lunch and well worth a visit. Since the hotel is situated in a historical area, parking space is limited. If you plan to use the hotel’s small lot, I recommend contacting them in advance to have the gate opened. Alternatively, free street parking is available just 30 meters uphill from the hotel, which is a convenient option. Overall, Dimora Archimedea is perfect for those seeking a comfortable and memorable stay with a personal touch. We’d happily return!

The location is slightly further from Ortigia, but getting there was easy enough as we had a rental car. The hotel is very close to the archaeological park which is very cool to check out. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was amazing, very elegant feeling, clean and comfortable. Would highly recommend this stay to anyone going to Syracuse. Not a negative, but pay attention to the parking instructions. We forgot after a long day of travel and the entrance is quite narrow (scraped the rental car) but only because we didn't follow their specific instructions to approach and enter from the other direction - very simple and easy if paid attention to! :)

Great location for visiting the archaeological site. Staff were exceptionally helpful and very friendly. Breakfast is tailored to individuals, you chose what you want and it's served to you. Lovely courtyard where there are some sepulchres, Feels like your part of the archaeological site. Good bus service to Ortigia Island.

The only negative is that the building is not sign posted, but I called them and they waited at the gate for us. They explained that they are waiting for permission to get a sign as it is a conservation area

This was the best place we have stayed in Sicily! We travel a lot and can tell that we haven't seen such friendly, helpful people in anywhere! The place is so cozy, the apartment was really clean with a nice decoration, the beds were comfortable, the garden was so peacful and breakfast! So suprised with that also! Breakfast was great! Definitely would be back to this place! And Sirakuza became our favorite part of Sicily! Highly reccomended! Thanks a lot!

From the moment we arrived Sebiana and Dario where the most incredible hosts. The position of the hotel is excellent, right within the archaeological site and with easy parking. However we could still walk to most places in Syracuse. Our room was lovely and while in a main road fully soundproofed from the street noise. Breakfast was also great and served in a beautiful patio area. But best of all was the care taken to look after us. We can’t compliment and thank Sebiana and Dario enough.

Nothing at all

Lovely villa in a wonderful setting next to the archaeological site. The villa and the surrounding area is steeped in history. Ortigia with its stunning natural harbour port, its superb architecture and great restaurants, shops, art galleries is a short car ride away. Our hosts, Dario and Sebiana are charming and helpful. Dario provided a well researched list of places to see and recommendations for where to eat and these were spot on! This is a place that I would like to return again and again.

Everything about this place is amazing. The rooms are beautiful, clean and so comfortable. The breakfast is beyond and was one of the best we had our entire trip. The owners are what really make this place special. They both went above and beyond and sent us to the best restaurants each night we were there, even making our reservations for us. Cannot recommend this place more.

Not anything about the property, but know that you are about a 20 minute walk to the Island which is totally doable.

Breakfast was truly wonderful. A great selection of items from a full menu. The bread with extra virgin olive oil (EVOO) was delicious. And, although not included on the standard menu, the staff prepared scrambled eggs - done to perfection. The property is located inside the archeological park and within the garden area are some catacombs and a sarcophagus, breakfast can be served there, if preferred! The property is protected by gates so if arriving by car, it's best to notify the staff via WhatsApp a few minutes beforehand so they can open up. All the staff are very helpful and knowledgeable, most welcoming, and made us feel at home.

We were staying in a Queen suite which is split over two floors - linked via a narrow spiral staircase. The bathroom was at the lower level. And while this is quirky, it may not be the most practical for anyone having any mobility concerns. Best to notify the staff of any such issues. As the property is located on a major road it can get noisy even though the main windows are double-glazed. Maybe unsuitable for someone who is a light sleeper, likewise, the curtains are a bit thin and let in light. So some minor niggles but an overall excellent place to spend a wonderful break. Just wish that we could have had a few days longer! Maybe next time...

Everything was excellent…The hotel, room’s decoration, cleanliness, the hospitality and the staff

Nothing, everything was good. The hotel is a little far from Ortigia, however staying in Ortigia has other problems. Ortigia is very crowded and noisy. Dimora Archimedea is far away from crowds. You can walk 1.5 -2 km for Ortigia or take a taxi with nearly 18 EUR
