Concetta was amazing! She went out of her way for us a few times and despite a language barrier, we got along well. The hotel was beautiful and in a great location. The rooms were comfortable lovely to stay in.

We did have one 2-room booked for some of our group which wasn't available, forcing us to get an extra room. The stairs were formidable with luggage, but I suspect that would be anywhere we stayed in the area. The breakfast was really not worth the money, although Heidi was delightful.

Good location but no parking option.

We paid very high tourist tax on check out, more than what was originally communicated to us via Booking.com. Also the card machine did not work on check out so we had to first walk to a bank and take out money to pay the tourist tax in cash.

The location is really good close to the centre of ortigia and also close to free parking and paid parking. Nice view from the top floor room.

The room was clean but the balcony was a little dirty and had old bottles from previous guests. The breakfast was until 10.30 and we got down at 9.30 and we didnt have many choices.

This was the second time I've stayed here. Rooms are large with a common sitting / living area good for working, reading or just relaxing. Breakfast was incredible, in quality, variety and staff attention. Excellent location to explore the village with public parking a few meters from the front door.

Rooms are a little dated, but it's an old building which is part of the overall character.

A very nice place to stay. Really nice staff, large climatized rooms with a clean private bathroom. And good breakfast. The location was perfect. Close to public parking and the best restaurants in Ortigia. I will be sure to stay there again.

The location was ideal, quiet yet gave us easy access to all area’s of Syracuse. We were very comfortable in our room and the breakfast was perfectly adequate.

We went there for the Greek theater tragedies, an annual sesason that we try not to miss. It was a very good holiday, thanks also to the Mastrarua owner Giada and the staff who are very helpful and kind. They took care that we were comfortable and had a good stay in Ortigia. They were glad also to provide all kinf of information about places, restaurants, day trips. Our room (triple) was large with an oversized restroom and large shower. The air conditioning works well and isn't noisy. Some noise came from the refrigerator, but not too loud. There were also two free water bottles in the fridge, a nice touch. A special note for the breakfast service which is very personal with the professional and friendly Alessandra, who prepares everything on your table and buys fresh fruit every morning (she asks for special preferences about fruit too!). We had very pleasant conversations with Alessandra: she liked her job and fulfills her duties with passion.. Despite it is not a hotel with 24/7 attendance, we had no issues to check-in, check-out and leave our luggage in the lobby the last day. It was our second stay in this structure, and we will come back!

We liked the new management and don't have any complaints. Maybe a couple minor improvements: the hair dryer was shutting down for overheating and made life difficult to my long-haired partner. But I forgot to mention it to Giada so no complaints here.. Also, the breakfast was very good but maybe lacks some local products: a ricotta or tumia cheese or something similar. Again, minor details.

very well located at walking distance of the old center. the terrace of the room was great and I really liked how quiet it was at night, away from the crowded areas.
