The location is its best feature. The property is well located on the outskirts of Ortigia before the ZTL with a very close paid parking facility which is 15 Euro for 24 hours. Be warned not to park on the streets close by like we did on one occasion as people will double park behind you in the morning when you want to go to leave and block you in! I think they were the market stall owners. That was a real ordeal getting out. The room was a great size, the bed was large and comfortable (felt like a memory foam cushion) and the bathroom was a nice size. The staff member that met us was very friendly and there was access to a communal area with things like bottled water and coffee available. Everything is very close and walkable from the accomodation so this is a fantastic spot.

The accomodation is on the 2nd floor so there are 4 sets of stairs to curry luggage up to (we are fine with this and not an issue for most I wouldn’t think). The room has an off putting smell which was masked by a plug in vanilla diffuser. Not a deal breaker but not pleasant. The voucher for breakfast is for Za Bar which offered no vegan alternative for us, so we just had a coffee. There are many other good options around so just go to them instead. Hot tip if you are vegan - there is an amazing arancini place one lock away that offers many different vegan options. We went there twice

We had a great stay at B&B Design 4 Rooms. The location is fantastic—just a stone’s throw from all the main sights in Ortigia, which made exploring the area super convenient. The room itself was a good size, with a spacious feel and stylish, modern interior that gave a nice first impression. Stylish, comfortable, and perfectly situated—an ideal base for discovering Ortigia! Overall, while the location and room layout were great, the experience could be significantly improved with more attention to cleanliness and a more honest approach to the breakfast offering.

The bathroom felt a bit worn, with rust marks and stains on the shower glass. The shower didn’t drain properly, leaving us standing in several centimeters of water each time. The floors also felt somewhat unclean in bedroom. The biggest disappointment was the breakfast. It came in the form of a voucher for a neighboring café, but the offering was very minimal and underwhelming. Honestly, it would be better not to include breakfast at all than to offer something that feels like it’s just there to check a box for listing purposes.

I liked the smart and arty design which was also cleverly functional. It is in a large traditional Ortigia house with high airy ceilings. Parking Talete (€15 per 24 hrs) was very convenient only a few minutes walk away. Walking access to the rest Ortigia and the Siracusa archeological park was easy. There was a cheerful bustle of market, restaurants and people around all day and evening but not too noisy at night- the triple glazing was very effective. The air con worked well and was not noisy. There was a great multifunction shower with plenty of water pressure. The bed was very comfortable. Noemi who welcomed us was very nice and helpful.

The room was a bit dark but it was quite cosy and a relief from the glaring June sunshine. My husband would have liked a soap dish in the shower. The stairs to Floor 5 would have been a problem for some but we were warned and did not mind. The breakfast was not great at the local cafe-but the coffee and a croissant were fine.

The room was in a perfect location. Easy to get to, parking was around the corner, great for visiting Ortigia. (We used Easypark app) We had a large, 2-bed room which was spacious, very clean, and quiet. Air conditioning worked well, shower was large with a good water pressure. The shared kitchen area was plenty with coffee capsules available if wanted. Breakfast was offered at the bar literally outside the apartment. We were warmly greeted by our host who also provided information about restaurants and a map. Highly recommend this accommodation.

Absolutely beautiful room ideally located in the central market area of Ortigia. The room was very spacious and very tastefully decorated with beautiful lamps and writing desk. Two gorgeous high windows opened onto small but lovely balconies. The bed was extremely comfortable and I loved the bathroom. Tea and coffee was also available in a shared area. The host Cristina was extremely charming and accommodating, allowing me to arrive early and also to leave my bags for a while after checkout. Definitely one of the best accommodation experiences I have had in my two months trip around Southern Italy. I will definitely recommend to friends and would most certainly rebook if I am lucky enough to return to Ortigia

We only stayed for one night and were totally alone. We thank Daniele and Naomi for all the help and information. We could stop shortly in front of the door to unload the luggage and bring it to the second floor (no elevator). 50m away around the corner is a public parking for 15€ / 24 hours. The room was beautifully designed and very big. Everything was there...we could even use a tiny kitchen for tea and coffee, use a wine glass🍷. As we were alone we cannot say if it is loud when all rooms are occupied

The Rate Design 4 Rooms is located right at the entrance of Ortigia, near the lively Ortigia market—a beautiful and convenient spot. Our room was very clean and comfortable, and the host was incredibly helpful throughout our stay. Overall, a pleasant experience in a fantastic location.

The breakfast was decent, though I’d recommend not setting your expectations too high in that regard.

D cordiality and politeness of d staff. They were always available and accomodating. The room provided was spacious, impeccably clean and well lit with natural light. Location is very close to the old Ortigian market. Thus, it is perfectly situated close to all major points of interest but without the constant noise that is characteristic of a touristic hot spot.

Everything was perfect from the moment we arrived! The host Daniel was very kind to us, gave us a list of recommendations and a map of the Island! The room was beautiful and better than a lot of hotel rooms we been at. I’d recommend this place to anyone, far better than hotel!!!

Do not take breakfast, as it is a small cafe nearby and all you get is a glass of juice, coffee and a pastry. The staff in there is not welcoming and nice.
