We loved the location, the breakfast (which is amazing), the staff (special shout out to Massimiliano the wonderful barman - and so much more) and Sirmione itself. We booked two rooms for 7 days. One was a regular twin room for our teenage children and one was a superior double. Both were great value for money. The pool is great and we loved the Cypress trees meaning there’s always some shade but also plenty of sun. Everything was super change and well looked after. The location is fantastic. Close enough to the town to have everything in quick access but just far enough away it felt quiet and private. It’s stunning too! We enjoyed drinks from the bar and food too. Excellent pizzas, sandwiches, salads etc. We are sure offering this later into the evening would be well received. We can recommend the thermal spa (Terme di Sirmione) the castle and the villa (grotto di Catullo). We also had a fantastic boat ride. Also watching the stunning sunsets! Finally, we taxi that the hotel recommended for us was excellent.

Beautiful property in a quiet part of the peninsula. Very nice pool. Breakfast was a 10 out of 10.

Initial room was small, 2 single beds overlooking the courtyard. We booked the property 9 months in advance and our travel companions had a view of the lake. When we asked for a different room the staff were very accommodating. Charged for ice and towels which should be free for a hotel of this caliber. Our shower leaked water into the washroom. How could they not know there was an issue.

What did we like about the property? Absolutely everything!! I would recommend Hotel Désirée in Sirmione to anyone. Fantastic, helpful staff. A beautiful selection of fresh food at every breakfast. A great bar service (snack bar available too around the hotel swimming pool, although we didn’t use this facility). Plus, the location of the hotel is just stunning! An easy walk into quirky little Sirmione town centre & to Lake Garda itself. We could see the lake from our balcony & the sunsets were stunning. My partner & I were very sad to leave Hotel Désirée & would return in a heartbeat.

A tiny niggle - the shower pressure in the bathroom was very poor, making it difficult when washing hair etc. after a day by the pool.

Our room had a great balcony with lake view. Location to old town was great The head of front office Ms Ada was always extremely helpful during our entire stay and assisted with rail strike information to aid our onward travel plans

Very difficult to reach hotel location through barriers to the old town Better information from the hotel would have easily reduced the stress of our arrival Not a good way to start our stay The room was not lady friendly with no full length mirror and no dressing table mirror Only tea making facilities in the room with no coffee machine or coffee facilities which is highly unusual for Italy Only one single Vacant accessible Plug socket in bedroom for charging all our mobile devices At the reception area bar there was only one bottle of red wine available for the whole of our 4 day stay . New incoming order of red wine not available until another 6 days !!

The hotel is located in a quiet part of Sermione, surrounded by nature. The room was spacious, clean and balcony adds value. The breakfast served was of high standard and selection very good.

The room was not soundproof. When the next door guests used the bathroom or open a tap it was as if it is in my room, to the point that it woke me up. The reception is n my opinion not well serviced.

The hotel has a perfect location in a calm environment, but really close walking distance to everything. Furthermore we got two rooms next to each other - as requested - and with a balcony with an almost magic lake view. We expected an OK breakfast of good quality. Then we were of course hoping for a really good breakfast. However the breakfast exceeded our highest expectations. They offered a breakfast buffet with a large variety and of high quality. The breakfast room is spacious with like a glass wall towards the lake. We actually extended our planned time att breakfast every day because it was such a good experience. Thank you Rosangela (Rosa)! You made our stay extra special. We first met you in the hotel bar and next at breakfast. Somehow you managed to quickly give attention to every person and their needs in the breakfast room, and at the same time keeping everything at breakfast perfect at all time. Travelling the world a lot for many years, you observe and also appreciate service of highest quality. Furthermore we had special requests that we were hoping for being possible, but didn't excpect to. But you, Rosa, resolved everything quickly, effective and always with a smile. You are an amazing ambassador for the hotel and a success factor for it, of course. Every staff member we met at the hotel made you feel welcome. So except from an optimal location for visitors to Sirmione, very good rooms and a state of the art breakfast, hotel Désiréé has staff that makes sure that your stay will become a really warm and great experience. We warmly recommend this hotel if you will visit Sirmione. We all loved our stay at hotel Désiréé! this was our first stay at this hotel, but surely not the last.

When your stay is so full of really good and memorable experiences it is very difficult to find something not to like. This hotel is simply an excellent choice if you are planning to visit Sirmione.

The location was second to none - walking distance to everything worth seeing in Sirmione, the port, restaurants, and those gorgeous winding streets. Bonus: lake views from the room, delicious and diverse breakfast and a pool. Room was clean and cool, staff very friendly and accommodating.

There were some small bits around the hotel which might need updating, but overall, it was an excellent option in Sirmione.

Beautiful hotel. Nice room. Good breakfast. Also nice that there is a bar where you can get sandwiches, drinks, bottle of water etcetera during the day.

Tip for the future of the hotel; realisation of covered parking spaces might me an idea in times of increasing incidences of hail storms. This will certainly be an advantage compared to other hotels. De route through the 'limitid traffic zone' is quite challenging! There are designated timezones in which you can access, however, only when the lights turn green. This takes a while because traffic from both sides is intermittedly let passed through. If you don't know this, you might wonder if it's ever going to switch to green. Just be patient. And then, be aware that there are A LOT of people on the narrow streets. Nothing is done to regulate this, you just need to pass through slowly.

The hotel is in a quiet location away from the crowds (which we absolutely loved) that flock to Sirmione but within a very short walking distance from the castle and all the many restaurants. It is quite a basic hotel that could probably do with some modernising but all the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the rooms clean and the breakfasts good. We arrived by car and were lucky to secure a parking space outside the hotel but driving to it through the streets is not easy because they are very narrow and depending on the time of day, it can be quite a mission because of the sheer number of visitors!
