Staff in restaurant were excellent and were very accommodating to any special requirement s of food you required. They were very friendly and helpful. Staff member cleaning room was also very friendly and helpful and went above and beyond to ensure your room was always made comfortable. The location was much better than anticipated, we arrived into Simone via a ferry and walked to our accommodation within a couple of minutes. Although we were right in the centre of Simione by the castle among the hustle and bustle of tourist our accommodation was very peaceful. The added bonus to the accommodation was the rooftop terrace where you could relax with a glass of wine at the end of a busy day. Excellent choice, the only thing i would say, is the photos of the hotel do not provide a realistic view. The hotel is much better and i would certainly return to this hotel again as it is an excellent spot for accessing the ferries, and buses. Well done.

The bar opening times more flexible

Location and staff. The breakfast team were cheerful and friendly - remembering how we liked our coffee and brought service with a smile. When we checked in the front desk helped us with our bags up to the front door - it was three flights of stairs as our room was not with a lift. He was great on the front reception. The room felt smaller than I had imagined but had a lovely balcony

the size of the room after we pulled out the sofa bed, it was too small - better layout could be achieved. Yes its Simone and yes its inside the walls of the castle in a great location but when is over 300 euros a night you expect a bigger room.

Close to everything. As soon as you enter the old town it is right next to the Scaliger Castle. Quiet street and less busy. Town shopping and restaurants begin right around the corner. This was our second time staying at Hotel Degli Oleandri. That is how much we enjoyed it. Great breakfast included and the staff are all very friendly and accommodating.

The building is old original in old town Sirmione. We like that. But keep in mind that because of the age of the infrastructure you can hear between walls if people are loud and hear sounds in the hallway. The hallways are wood but that’s how they keep everything clean. It wasn’t enough to bother my family and we prefer clean. But if you are picky or are looking for high-end this won’t be the place for you. Rooms are smaller. But again we didn’t mind this.

Beautiful setting and fastidiously clean. You are right in the old town but a little off the main busy streets. The view from the terrace is stunning Nd the staff and are all very helpful. Wish I’d had a room with a view as it is such a beautiful vista over the lake. Breakfast had ample options and I thoroughly enjoyed eating on the terrace and watching the sparrows try and nab some crumbs.

This may just have been my room, a single occupancy, but the walls are quite thin so I could hear another guest snoring and sometimes a lot of chatter. It didn’t disturb my sleep so it wasn’t an issue really, but if you are a light sleeper consider taking some earplugs. That said I’d fully recommend staying.

Beautiful traditional hotel in the heart of Sirmione. Although a traditional building the rooms were modern and very tastefully decorated. We had booked a small room, Room 3, and although small it was well designed and had everything you needed in it. The rooms were very clean as was the hotel in general. The bed was big and very comfortable and the shower hot and powerful. The coffee machine in the room was an added bonus. Great view from our room of the tower and lake. There was also a roof terrace and a solarium on the level above the roof terrace with a couple of sun loungers and garden furniture. For €5 you could book to have your breakfast on the roof terrace which we did both mornings. The breakfast was really good with options of an American breakfast which included bacon and scrambled eggs or a continental breakfast which included a selection of pain au chocolat and croissants. Both were served with a selection of cheese and hams, bread rolls, pastries/cakes, fresh fruit, orange juice and coffee. Also extras to choose from such as pancakes. The breakfast waiter, Makaryous, was really nice and friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. Another nice touch was, that on the weekend, you could order aperitivo and homemade snacks on the roof terrace for €10. It was a lovely place to sit and enjoy an aperitivo away from the hustle and bustle of the street which was very busy. The housekeeping staff let me look in one of the larger rooms on the higher floor which had full panoramic views of the lake which had we been staying for a bit longer may have opted for to give us that extra space as well as an even more incredible view. The hotel staff were lovely, very friendly and helpful. Alan was on reception and Nina served us our aperitivo on the terrace. Nina also offered good advice on restaurants and the ones we tried were really fantastic. We really loved this hotel and would highly recommend staying here.

If I was being really picky it would have been good to have had a small fridge in the room but it really wasn’t a huge issue.

I booked this hotel last minute and was pleasantly surprised at what a convenient location it was in the old town historical center, while at the same time being very quiet. There were two terraces, which had an amazing view of the lake and the city walls, and the breakfast had a variety of fresh fruit and yogurt and in-house baked goods. The breakfast staff was super attentive and made me a fresh hot cappuccino upon walking in to the dining room that morning. Wifi also worked great on the second floor. The rooms and hotel interior are clean and decorated with a historical touch.

Upon checking out, the front desk staff tapped the USD currency option on my credit card instead of Euros and added another 5% transaction fee onto my total cost 😞 After a few explanations, she eventually understood that selecting the USD option charged more on my credit card, but I was a little surprised that the hotel staff wasn’t trained on basic foreign credit card transaction fees.

Fab location, great shower, good wifi, good choice at breakfast. Single bed was pretty comfy. Room was small but had everything I needed. Lovely terrace areas in the hotel. Breakfast staff was nice.

My room was above a street with a cafe/bar downstairs and from 6am there was a lot of noise from what I assume was people arriving to work and noise of plates; it sounded as though the window were open. Receptionist wasn't up to date with bus timetables and gave me the wrong information (I got the info required from the tourist office but I had to wait til the last minute for the tourist office to open). I inquired about taxi prices with reception also and she gave me a rough idea, but there was no offer to double check or ring a taxi company and find out for sure, or even to organize a taxi for the next morning. Little details you'd expect from a hotel.

The location of this Hotel is superb, u couldn't be any more central in Sirmone. We have stayed in many Hotels and this is by far the most spotless Hotel we have stayed in. The Beds are so comfortable and the showers were powerful. Rooms are cleaned daily and towels were changed everyday.The Breakfast was unbelievable the variety of fruit, juices, cakes, breads. The hot food scramble eggs bacon etc loads to choose from!! The staff were outstanding very friendly especially the breakfast staff and the accommodation staff. Overall we had a wonderful experience with this hotel and would highly recommend for couples.

It's not so much what we didn't like about the hotel but we just felt the €150 Deposit a month before we arrived was a bit unnecessary. This is taken just incase you damaged the room, we felt that this area was more of a higher end clientele and couldn't see how anyone would damage a room. Then again we don't know what they have experienced before with people.

The hotel is very well situated with beautiful view over the lake. It also has two balconies where you can observe the panoramic view. The staff is nice and helpful. The rooms are very clear and have elegant/classic furniture. Although they are new, they still give a classic touch to the place. The breakfast was delicious.

The hotel did not have parking. They offer, however, like many others from this "restricted" area, parking possibilities in a nearby parking lot. Be aware that you need to pay extra for this service and it's not cheap.

The room was newly decorated, clean and had all the facilities. The room was a bit small but that is understandible given the excellent location in an older (but well maintained) building spot on near the castle of Sirmione and one minute walk from a public beach. The nice terraces on 2nd and 3d floor, offering a beautiful view on the lake made up for the limited view from the room.

A small fridge would have been a bonus.
