Amazing location with fantastic views. Excellent breakfast served by dedicated and helpful staff on a terrace right by the water. The host/owner was very friendly and helped us to rent a scooter and to find different places. Details: We had a room without a balcony but could open the windows and "feel the lake". The AC was powerful and we slept really well. The wet room was ok, the water pressure around Garda is what it is but there was plenty of warm water for all our "July showers". We took the ferry from Desenzano (train station) to Sirmione (€3/p, 2024) and landed a few minutes from the hotel. Tip: Although there are ferries to many places and it can be nice to be on the lake, we recommend taking the local bus more, especially to the east side. Partly because there are usually indoor seats on the "AC lottery ferries" and partly because it is usually faster by bus. The hotel provided excellent information in advance about how to get there, where to park etc. Fyi: The car park is just outside the city core, but a small shuttle bus goes around and picks people up.

What more can you want? Ok, it's a 2-star hotel, so there's no laundry service, no restaurant, and not open 24/7. But everything else is in place. The location and views are outstanding, you can buy a drink/wine/beer and sit on the terrace; plenty of restaurants are nearby.

Location, view of castle. Close to the town, shops and restaurant. Lots of choices at breakfast, inside and outside tables next to the water. Very peaceful, large balcony. Friendly staff, tried to help with a few issues we experienced. Transport to and from car park included.

No fridge in room but staff stored milk for us. AC was noisy and couldn’t use it, fan 1-4 speed only worked on 4 and was noisy. Bed was very hard but mattress topper was added as soon as staff aware. Bad vibration in room when restaurant extractor on downstairs. Only a small bath and shower attachment. Unable to shower at full height as no attachment or curtain. Luckily it didn’t ruin our stay and we enjoyed Sirmione.

Grifo Parking - the buggy to hotel service makes it easy. We handed over our luggage and walked to the hotel because it was so near. The hotel is next to the castle at the entrance to Sirmione and we had a view of the lake from our 1st floor room. Booking in was easy and the room was ready for 1400hrs. The room was practical and basic as expected for the rating of the hotel, just what we needed as we were using it as a base. The breakfast was very good with enough choice for everyone. Air Conditioning and TV in the room. The staff are very welcoming and informative.

No in-room coffee and tea making facilities. No duvet only sheets and a blanket. The temperature did drop in the room at night due to the build of the hotel. Obviously this would be an advantage in the summer.

We were pleasantly surprised at the upgrade they generously offered for free. We left our balcony window open to hear the waves crashing on the beach below us. Our bed was comfortable and we had we had two pillows each. Breakfast was wonderful and the patio view of the lake made it feel so relaxing. They had wine available for purchase, which we enjoyed on our balcony in the evenings. The location just inside the walls made this stay wonderful. To roam the streets in the early morning with only a few people and to wander in the evening with the nightlife in the warm glow of the streetlights. The staff were so warm and welcoming, willing to help with any need, The old home feel truly made us so at easy.

Nothing really. The only thing I can think of is something they have no control of. It would be the cost of parking and the fact that it is not 24hrs from your initial check-in to the parking area.

Beautiful location right next to Sirmione Castle. Room with a large balcony facing the castle and Lake Garda. Staff was very friendly, breakfast was pretty complete and the breakfast area was right outside facing the lake!

It would have been nice if there would have been a small fridge in the room because it can get warm in summer, but other than that, nothing

Incredible location, and very comfortable room! The view from the room was fabulous; you could see part of the old castle and out over the lake to the mountains. The air conditioning was vital, and so nice to have. The included breakfast was also so generous, and the terrace where it was served had lovely views of the lake. Finally, the staff were amazing: the plugs here are different from other European plugs and require THREE PRONGS; they were able to lend us a two to three prong adapter for the duration of our stay, and were so gracious and lovely with recommendations.

The shower was a bit tricky; the temperature wasn’t consistent and we really had to fiddle with the knobs to get it right, but that was a small thing. Being in the middle of Sirmione you will also hear a bit of noise and have crowds, but that’s to be expected.

The location is beautiful! The hotel is located on the island just behind the castle. There is a small beach just outside the hotel and plenty of restaurants just around the corner. The lady on reception was fantastic! Very friendly and attentive. The hotel is very pet friendly and their corgi baddie is a little treasure. We would definitely stay again!

The rooms were a little outdated but the location definitely made up for it.

Shower pressure is abit low, but I'm not sure if this could be rectified. The room is characterful, a little of modernisation would make it a 10 I feel. Other than that, cannot fault this property and friendly staff.

Wonderful location right next to the castle in Sirmione. We had a lake view room on the top floor with a fantastic view from the balcony (small but functional with 2 breakfast bar style stools). Comfortable room with air conditioning. Adequate storage for the 3 nights we stayed. The bathroom was a decent size and well equipped. More than you would expect in a 2 star hotel. Breakfast on the terrace directly on the lake front was wonderful. Wide selection of pastries, meats, cheeses etc and unlimited coffee. We would definitely stay here again it exceeded our expectations. The hotel arranged parking which included electric taxi transfer to the hotel for guests and luggage, this worked very well. It was 15.5 euros a day which was reasonable.

The hotel doesn’t have a bar but they do have a refrigerator full of drinks and will serve these on the terrace for you which we loved. There is a restaurant next door under the same name but different management.

The location was very central and next to the fort. The manager was extremely helpful and friendly. The accommodation was very clean. Parking was slightly confusing, with parking in a private off site area. But once explained the process was very good with a free shuttle service right to the hotel door.
