This is a good hotel with a high level of service and its own thermal spa. It is located near the Scaliger castle in the center of Sirmeone. Delicious varied breakfast, pleasant staff, excellent restaurant terrace on the lake shore. The rooms are spacious with high ceilings. SPA only positive reviews.

the hotel already needs renovation. the carpets are dirty, the walls are shabby in many places. the windows of our room overlooked the square, so at 4.30 in the morning we woke up every day, as we brought food to restaurants. so if you want to sleep well, you need to take a room with a view of the lake, it will be more comfortable there.

We loved the hotel the spa and room was clean and tidy

One thing that let the hotel down was the fact you could not sit outside and have drinks in an area where there were lots of tables available. One staff member in particular was very rude and told us we could not sit there despite loads of free tables and that we had to que up and wait for free tables right next to the lake even though we was not bothered about sitting right next to the lake. This Resulted in us not spending money on drinks in our own hotel and so we went elsewhere. Disappointing really as everything else was very nice.

The hotel is perfectly located just through the bridge to the castle. The balcony looked over the lake to the west and has amazing views of the sunsetting. The ferry port is literally right outside and the staff were amazingly helpful. The spa is across the path and this was a real treat. Our room entitled us to 2 hours per day - just bliss. We bought a couples massage and it was a well spent 50minutes. You do need to book the spa in advance as it gets busy. The breakfast was included and with a good selection of hot and cold foods. Breakfast opening times are from 7.30 to 10.30.

Some aspects of decoration are a little tired but kind of fit by an older era of elegance.

The Hotel was excellent in so many ways with a few minor criticisms. The location is perfect and the outside bar/terrace is excellent for watching the world go by with an Aperol Spritz or two ! The staff are extremely warm and friendly and really helpful when needed. The rooms are very spacious and the cleanliness was 10/10. Clean towels every day. Separate towels for the spa too. Our room was slightly on the dark side as we were behind the beautiful pine tree however the side view made up for this, watching the boats come and go. A kettle or coffee maker in the room would have been the finishing touch in the room rather than have to wait to go down to breakfast. Breakfast selection was very good. Fresh and plenty to choose from. The spa was handy although the sulphur smell is a little off putting if you are located in that side of the hotel. Reservation of the spa beds is a mystery as most beds were booked but remained empty for most of the day ?? However the outside terrace sunbeds are not booked and provide a lovely location to relax and enjoy the sunshine. The location of the hotel is perfect to explore Sirmione's little alleys and hidden restaurants. So many to choose from. Walking distance to all of these. The Hotel is also next to the ferry pier so really handy to hop on a ferry to Garda, Bardolino and others towns around the lake too. We would definitely stay here again as there is so much more to see and do, with a friendly Hotel to welcome you back.

Coffee/tea making facility in the room. Different management system of the spa beds. Insect nets on windows to allow windows to remain open for longer.

Good value for money although from a 4star hotel I was expecting much more, starting from the breakfast. The buffet was very 'industrialized' but I also understand that probably the type of clientele that usually comes just wants to get full and that's it! Our room had a good size and facing the side harbor and we also had a terrace, so we were lucky. I would have appreciated mosquito nets (also from a cheap quality) because it gets full of insects outside. There were signs everywhere of Do Not Smoke but we could smell cigarette in the corridor outside our room. The outdoor pool was very nice and the lifeguard staff were gentle and friendly. They have a convenient deal with the Grifo Parking and a shuttle but if you want to walk from the parking lot to the hotel it is less than 5 minutes.

The spa staff, dining (breakfast) staff and the staff in the bar/lounges were all top class. Staff at desk were okay but not very helpful. The spa area, lounges and bar very fantastic places to relax in. Quiet and comfortable room.

The hairdryer kept stopping during use and had to cool down for about 10 minutes before it can be used again so I could not get my hair dry. Front desk staff not interested in resolving issue. The hotel states for an extra charge laundry can be done. Again front desk staff refused and sent me to another town to find a laundromat. I also ordered a transfer through the front desk staff, they said the company would contact me via email with banking details and confirmation. None of this happened and so my husband and I just took a bus. Later that day I got an email from the transfer company asking where I was!! Communication very poor. All being said we thoroughly enjoyed our stay despite a few hiccups and would recommend.

The localisation is amazing

The person at the reception was not friendly, we arrived at 3.30am in the morning and had to wake up by 8 am but he took a long time to find the reservation and let us have the room, we were exhausted and even proposed to leave passport cash the time he will find the booking. Evendoe i show him the email of confirmation he was waiting to find it in his system and ask how much did we pay. The problem was that he was not sur of which room we would have pay for but instead of being nice and understand it was for a few hours he made a fuss and wanted to allocate us accordingly to what we paid. At the end we got the room at 4.40 am and he had to come back because he forgot to print our passport. A part for that the location is nice and accommodation good.

We stay in this hotel second time. What I like about it is a wonderful location - right in the center in front of the castle! And close to all entertainments: restaurants, boat rents, etc. Also great benefit is presence of their own thermal pool and sunbathing area. We were given the room with the side view on the lake and it was beautiful. Wonderful view from restaurant terrace during the breakfast.

Though the room had a nice view, the condition of the room was very poor. Everything is old! Especially bathroom. Walls and ceiling damaged in many places. To provide such rooms for 350 eur per night is a shame. Hotel needs urgent renovation! Breakfast in the restaurant downstairs is good, but dinners not. They forgot about my order, then brought it one hour later and it tasted and looked like leftovers as the kitchen was closing already. Even didn’t exclude it from my bill when I complained, waiters were not friendly. In the evening this location is just for drinks.

The location was great, the outdoor thermal pool which was lovely and warm. We upgraded to a balcony room so had a lovely view of the harbour lateral view of lake and was great to sit out and watch the boat trips around the castle. The beds were comfy I found the pillows abit soft (but I'm sure had I asked they would've provided another or changed) so my fault for that.

Pillows to soft, whilst the hotel is clean, there was a smell which wasn't nice but I'm not sure if that was to do with the outdoor pool and the sulpher. The breakfast was adequate although I found it stranger they charged 5€ extra if you wanted fried eggs, poached eggs on toast. There were other items omelette too chargeable where these had been in with the breakfast provided in a different hotel we stayed in. No tea coffee facilities in room.

Hotel Sirmione was beautifully located on Lake Garda and our room had a view of both the lake and the marina. It was so convenient to visit the castle and the town was so charming and easily you could walk everywhere. My husband enjoyed the thermal spas and one afternoon we both took in a little sunshine by the pool. The hotel has a wonderful outdoor cafe which was lake-side, a full restaurant and an incredible buffet breakfast. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

We should have booked more nights.
