Room: Very spacious clean room, an extra large comfortable bed, good AC. Bath and handheld shower with good water pressure in good bathroom with bidet. Toiletries provided. Large balcony with 2 sun loungers, a table and 2 chairs, full view of Mt Vesuvius across Gulf of Naples. 3 out of 4 days we watched glorious sunsets across bay from our balcony. Same sunset view from pool and terrace outside restaurant. Housekeeping excellent. Breakfast: Good Buffet breakfast with generous hot and cold selections, frequently replenished. Restaurant had open vista of Naples Gulf and Vesuvius. Big selection of local pastries, great carafes of fresh coffee. Decaf available too. Yolanda at Egg Station cooked lovely omelettes to order. Dinner: Varied menu with well cooked meals. Seafood fresh and delicious. Management often surprised customers with complimentary desserts...greatly appreciated, but often a struggle after first 2 generous courses!!:) Restaurant Staff: For me, the Staff always "makes" a hotel. Such an amazing team: prompt, efficient, friendly, polite and ever helpful. Totally unique at this restaurant was not only their attitude to hotel guests, but wonderful camaraderie among the staff: between Eugene, Carlo, Juliano, Johanne, Mariagratia ..apologies for wrong spelling or if I left anyone out. Wonderful team! "Thank You" for making our meals such enjoyable ones. Reception: All requests handled with ease. If doable, it was done. Luisa and Louisa were helpful with my queries. After departure we discovered at Sorrento Train station that our laptop was left in the hotel lobby! Blind panic, rang reception. Luisa calmly said she would send it. 10 minutes later Massi the Manager, with helmet on, sitting astride his scooter was handing over our laptop! If we visit Sorrento again, it will be our pleasure to stay at the Art Hotel Gran Paradiso. Thanks to Antoninino for extra shuttle runs to catch tour pickups at bottom of hill. A great stay!

If you're looking for a breathtaking view of Sorrento and the surrounding area – this is the place! The pool is fantastic with stunning views, the room was huge and spacious with a great balcony, and the spa was beautiful (even though there’s an extra charge). We also enjoyed a very good massage, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was nice, with a decent selection.

There’s no coffee station anywhere in the hotel – not in the room, not in the lobby, not even a kettle. There’s also no water station or complimentary bottled water. When we asked, we were told it’s fine to drink tap water – which may be true, but still not what you’d expect from a 4-star hotel. The hotel offers free shuttles to the Sorrento town center, which is great, but they only run every 1–2 hours. There’s no other easy way to get to town except by taxi, which costs over €30 for a 5-minute ride. Due to the steep hill, walking to or from the hotel is very difficult.

The Hotel was modern, spacious and the service was delightful. Our Room was very large and a large balcony with two deck chairs overlooking the fabuous pool and sensational view of Sorrento and across the bay to Mt Vesuvius. Good breakfast and the Coffee bar was great. The shuttle was really handy as well. We really liked this hotel.

The room was very clean although did smell a bit of the cleaning fluid they used. There was a birthday party in the breakfast room which was directly downstairs from our room and the music was very lous. It did stop by 11.30. My suggestion is to book a room further away from the dining room. Beds could have been a bit softer. We're not used to hard Italian beds!

Vey clean hotel , fantastic views location not great even though we knew the hotel was on the side of the mountain shuttle bus available but could have run more often it was a good 30 minute walk into sorrento or 20 euros in a taxi , hotel made you wait for the bus even though they were going down to pick up other guests very frustrating , breakfast awful cold tea + coffee sausages not cooked would have expected more from a 4 star hotel , bar waiter at night very friendly and spoke to us on many occasions .

The hotel was amazing! The food at this hotel was great. Breakfast included bacon, sausage and eggs. Lunch is offered by the pool. Lots of lunch options. Dinner was even better! We had beef and roast chicken one night. The pasta was fabulous. Our room was great and had an oversized balcony which made it even better. The shuttle bus service they offer is so convenient for getting into town and back.

Not much to complain about at this hotel. Beds were a little hard.

Our stay at the Art Gran Paradiso was lovely! Our room was nice and clean and we had a great view of the sea with a spacious balcony. The pool was the highlight for us, the view was amazing and the pool area was so chilled and relaxing. There was a pool bar that had delicious cocktails and food too. The staff were super friendly and helpful and there was a free shuttle bus into the centre as the hotel is located up a very steep hill!

The times of the shuttle bus were a little random and sometimes inconvenient, we stayed in May so not sure if that had anything to do with it but we had to arrange our plans around this as a taxi from the centre was €30 (only 10 min max ride) so didn’t want to spend that every time we went out/came back!

An excellent hotel all be it at the top of quite a steep hill which in fairness gave some stunning views of the bay of Naples. Facilities were good and everywhere was kept very clean and tidy. Lots of choices for breakfast including hot and cold options. We ate in the restaurant in the evening and both the food and service was fabulous. Reception staff were helpful in arranging excursions and airport transfers. The shuttle bus into Sorrento was a huge bonus. Beautiful pool with the added benefit of built in loungers and spa bubbles.

Check in and out a breeze. Staff very friendly. Hotel and room clean, comfortable and attractive. Views from our balcony and around the pool, bar and restaurant spectacular! Food and drink excellent value and tasty. Breakfast buffet was deep and delicious, pool bar menu perfect for light fare while relaxing at the pool, our one dinner at Toni's was also very tasty and very filling! Wait staff superb, very helpful as we only speak a handful of Italian words and phrases.

It's not that I didn't like it, but important to know that access to anything beyond enjoying the hotel, you need transporation to town. Free shuttle is provided, but only every two hours or so, planning your forray into town is a must. The drive up to and down from the hotel is an experience not to be missed! The skills of the driver are impressive. There is NO room for error.

Amazing views, we were upgraded to a sea view for free and our balcony was bigger than the room and very clean throughout. Friendly and helpful staff especially breakfast and bar staff. We had read that the breakfast was poor on previous reviews but I totally disagree. They have omelettes made to order, hot food, loads of fresh fruit and a huge variety of fresh pastries. They had a bowl full of gluten free options ready for me every morning but would have been great to have a separate gluten free toaster to avoid cross contamination. The pool area is lovely and there was singing in the bar one night so nice atmosphere.

Parking very limited and we had to leave our keys at reception all the times. It would be too dangerous and hard to walk up the hill to the hotel so would only recommend people to stay if they have a car or they are happy to take the shuttle bus which has a limited number of runs.
