Just got back from a week staying here and I can’t recommend it highly enough. The family who run it are absolutely lovely, so welcoming, friendly, and extremely accommodating throughout our stay, even providing us with a bottle of Prosecco on our arrival. The location is perfect: peaceful and quiet, away from the hustle and bustle of the town, but still only a 15/20-minute walk to the town centre – well worth it for the peace and quiet. Breakfast was lovely, served every morning, and the rooms were well decorated, with clean sheets and fresh towels provided daily. They also cleaned the pool each day, which was a lovely touch, and the pool bar was exactly what we needed – offering well priced refreshments and snacks for lunch.

A few very minor items missing from the room such as drinking glasses and the iron provided was very old and difficult to use.

Very friendly staff from arrival onwards. Its in a suprisingly quiet location despite being so close to the main road. The room was perfect, nothing fancy but just right. Amazingly comfortable bed and lovely shower. The breakfast was just what you needed, nothing heavy and served by Friendly staff in a beautiful lemon Grove. The pool are was large and perfect for cooling down ,again nice and quiet with a lovely view of the mountains.

Bring your walking shoes ,it's a 20 min walk down to main Sorrento, nothing arduous and costs about €20 in a taxi if you need one. But it kept my steps up and balanced all the nice food and drink we indulged in for the week.

The location is just outside the main town of Sorento, but an easy short walk. All of the staff were really welcoming and friendly, right there when you needed them and unobtrusive when you didn't, perfect hospitality. The room was excellent, a beautiful balcony view over the bay across to Mount Vesuvius, a really comfortable big bed, great air-conditioning, lovely shower, and perfectly made up every day by kind and polite staff. The breakfast each morning was ample, with fresh bread and pastries, fresh fruit, meats and cheese, perfect to set you up for a day of exploring Sorento. The pool area was also really tidy and well kept, with a kiosk selling drinks and ice cream, with simple but delicious warm and cold snacks through the day, staffed again by polite, friendly and attentive staff. We don't often like to go back to the same place again for holidays, in case it doesn't meet the same expectations second time around, but we both agreed, we would definitely go back to Il Roseto, as we have no doubt it be just as great.

Lovely pool that is not easy to find at a decent price in Sorrento. Breakfast was a selection of pastries, bread, yoghurt, cereal, meats and boiled egg with drinks. Not sure that our room was exactly as described in the booking (no sofa bed) but was good enough for our needs. Nice large shower and bathroom. Hosts very polite and pleasant.

Water pressure in shower was poor. Property located a little further out than we thought - c.1mile and 20 min walk to Palazzo Tasso - but we prioritised the pool over location and don't mind walking so ok.

This hotel well exceeded our expectations. Our room had a lovely balcony overlooking a garden and turtle enclosure. The pool area was much bigger than we had expected and we spent several days enjoying the quiet here. There was a poolside bar for drinks so it was easy to relax with a beer and enjoy the area. Breakfast in the garden had a great selection and hospitality. We were able to book a taxi through reception to take us down to the port when leaving. We also thought the location was great, probably about 20 minute walk to main town Sorrento but lots of bars etc on the way. The other direction into Sant'Agnello also offered some nice places to visit. We plan to book to return and stay again!

Lovely and quiet. Is slightly out of the centre, but it gives you a good chance to explore areas you might not think to look up if you stay closer in. Staff were all lovely, room was cleaned everyday. My shampoo, that was complimentary, and also made my hair feel amazing and smelled lovely, was topped up when I ran out. We had a slightly later flight, so as check out was 10.30am we asked if they would mind looking after our suitcases while we went off and had one last look around, which was absolutely no problem for them. All in all, a lovely hotel would definitely recommend!

Absolutely nothing!

The pool was great for the time of year, the food for lunches was very well priced and very convenient. The room had everything you needed and it all worked as expected. There were cats and tortoises which were great for me and my partner as we love animals. The hosts made you feel as though you could ask for anything and were a great help on arrival and departure to ensure smooth transitions by helping arrange transfers and bringing us breakfast to take with us on our trip home.

Our bathroom had a slight issue with ants, however this didn’t bother us as we washed them away, but for some this may be an issue.

The staff here are excellent and great you every morning or whenever they pass you. Breakfast was lovely, not the large full breakfast you would expect in a bigger hotel, but a perfect selection of bread, pastries, yogurts, and meats & cheese freshly sliced if requested. The young man working the pool bar was excellent and very kind natured.

Not much! The only thing that could be better was the shower but we are used to very good pressure at home.

The room was lovely and clean with air con and a fridge. Swimming in the pool was super relaxing. The breakfast was delicious and the location was quiet, safe and secure but within easy walking distance of Sorrento. We would love to come back to Il Roseto. Antonino was very helpful arranging private transfer for us from the airport, which is much cheaper than a taxi. A particular highlight for us was eating out at the restaurant in hotel Parco dei Principi. It's not far at all from Il roseto, about a 5-8 min walk. The views of the sun setting over the sea with Vesusvius in the background were spectacular. And the meal in the restaurant wasn't too pricey - 25 and 30 euros for a meal. We also visited Positano on the ferry which we loved and another day we went on the path of the gods hike (also loved this) and we did a boat trip to Anacapri and Capri.

We stayed at Il Roseto for four nights in September and couldn't fault a single thing. Maria was so welcoming and made our stay that extra bit better, the breakfast had a lovely selection of pastries, yoghurts, boiled eggs, bread and even cold meats and cheese plus coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice. The pool was always very clean and often quiet and Maria was also there on hand at the bar to make drinks when needed. The location is about 15 minutes from the main part of town however really close to some of the highly rated restaurants Sorrento has to offer. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again if we ever find ourselves back in Sorrento.
