Hotel Girasole is a little gem. The staff is friendly and helpful. Our room was immaculate and had a nice balcony with a great view of Mt Vesuvius and the sea. This hotel is not right in the heart of the historic centre, and does require a 15 minute walk to the main square etc. There is a local bus (under 2 euro or taxis (20 euro) if you prefer not to walk that far. Breakfast was large with hot and cold choices. You can enjoy it in a beautiful garden area or inside. The pool was lovely with a very reasonably priced bar service. I would definitely stay there again.

it is a bit of a hike to the lively (busy) centre of Sorrento and train station (900 metres) But that also makes it a nice quiet location as well.

Breakfast was great! The pool area was lovely. Price was good. Close to public pier/beach. Maybe too far from the old town of Sorrento for some, but we liked able to escape the crowds. The staff were very friendly.

Unfortunately our room was on the roadside which was very loud. The exhaust from the vehicles also made its way up to our room, so we kept the windows closed during the day while we were out. This made the room warm when we returned, but not smelly. I asked to switch but was told “No” immediately. I think they were sold out, because the woman didn’t even look at the books. Wasn’t a fan of not being able to bring our own drinks to the pool. That being said the cost of a glass of wine was cheaper than a usual restaurant or bar. Still more expensive than bringing our own though.

A very quaint family run hotel set in lovely grounds with a great pool. Our balcony overlooked the gardens and had a pretty view over the gardens, mountains and bay. The staff were really lovely recommending a fab nearby restaurant that we wouldn't have known was there, helping with travel and producing an iron and ironing board out of the cupboard in reception. Everywhere was clean and we had use of a great shower room after checking out on our last day. We were fitted in for dinner one night at short notice.(as we were breakfast only).. Breakfast was a good range of cereal, yoghurt, fruit, scrambled eggs and sausage, pastries and cakes.

The hotel is a little dated but that is part of it's charm. The bed was a bit short. The location is on a busy road but we didn't notice this as our room was at the back overlooking the garden.

The location was perfect, away from the centre of Sorrento but only 10-15 minutes walk. We had sea/garden view rooms which were quiet and had lovely views from the balconies. Friendly welcoming staff. A useful fridge for daytime snacks and drinks. Breakfast was great - lots of choice and all fresh. We were only on B&B so didn’t eat in the evening. The pool was lovely and clean and plenty of Sun loungers. We would definitely recommend and would look to stay again if in the area.

Walking on the main road into Sorrento was very busy with traffic and fumes from mopeds at certain times. But this is Italy. It seems to be like that.

Great hotel - located on the main long road that goes straight from the city centre to the outside of the town, it is a bit of a walk after coming from the city centre but it is a nice flat road and good for a post dinner walk back! The hotel itself is nice, decent size. It is a little bit dated in terms of decor but it has a lovely family run vibe to it with lots of history. Room came with a lovely balcony where you can sit and admire the water. Breakfast options were extensive, with a lovely outdoor courtyard for having breakfast under the lemon trees. Pool area was good, lots of loungers and a very nice pool.

Only comment for people visiting - not a negative to the hotel itself - the snack bar at the pool doesn't have a lot of lunch options and is fairly basic the things they do - so plan ahead for that

We loved our stay at Hotel Girasole, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful during our stay. We had the breakfast package and it was a huge spread all of which was tasty! The pool was quiet and clean and had lovely views across the mountains. We were visiting sorrento for a wedding and it was a perfect distance from the venue for us and 20 minute walk into town.

The room itself was perfect for us plenty of room, the shower door was slightly stiff so could do with checking as I would hate for someone to try slide it and it smash.

Lovely friendly staff, super clean, comfortable bed, walking distance to so much, very good value

Breakfast wasn’t great, but the hotel seemed a little quieter our first morning so maybe they put less on, was a lot of sweet options and only two hot options, scrambled eggs and hot dog type sausages, I didn’t have breakfast the second morning when the hotel seemed busier

The hotel was really nice run by a family. We had an issue with the room and immediately they change our room,the owner was very kind and the people very friendly. Nice garden and pool,continental breakfast is served with every day a new fresh homemade cake. It takes 20 minutes walking to the port in sorrento and to the main street about 10 minutes.

Hotel Girasole was the perfect getaway in the heart of Sorrento. Conveniently located along the Main Street leading into Sorrento town. The staff were extremely helpful and lovely to interact with, noting that the pool staff also went above and beyond with their service. The property was immaculately clean and has a beautiful view of the Amalfi Coast.

The hotel was in a great location with just a 10 minute walk into the centre of sorrento. The walk is just one long road, so easy access and easy to navigate. As a solo traveller, I was nervous about being on my own but the staff go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. The property is dated but I did feel like it added to the ‘Italian feel’ and felt traditional. The pool area is lovely and a great size for the hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
