A lovely family hotel full of charm, kind staff, clean & comfortable with air conditioned rooms. Breakfast was a delicious Italian style - fruit, yogurt, cereal, scrambled eggs, cold meats, tomatoes, crusty rolls or toast AND a great selection of fresh pastries & cakes with plenty of hot drinks. The garden was such a comfort after a day of sightseeing & the pool area was clean with plenty of beds & seating in the shade.About a 10 minute walk into central Sorrento & a bus stop nearby for convenience. We stayed one week & wished it was longer. Thank you to all the staff for making our stay very enjoyable & relaxing.

The location was perfect, a 20 minute walk into the centre of Sorrento. A 15 minute walk to the train station with links to all areas of the Amalfi Coast. It has beautiful views of the coastline and Vesuvius. The breakfast was amazing - so much selection each morning and the staff were so friendly and attentive ensuring you had everything you needed. The room was a great size and was cleaned everyday to a high standard. We had such a comfortable stay. All the staff were friendly and welcoming and gave us local recommendations and help when we needed it. They allowed us to stay in the garden / pool area even after we had checked out of our room before we left for our flight, which made such a huge difference. The pool area was beautiful and maintained so well. The staff at the poolside were also faultless and made every effort to ensure you had everything you required. We cannot recommend this hotel enough and will definitely return if we are ever in Sorrento again.

The hotel is next to a busy road. This didn’t bother us but is worth knowing. However, anywhere you go in Sorrento there are busy roads!

The staff at the Girasole are extremely helpful and friendly. It is a family-run traditional hotel. The breakfast was excellent. We had a stunning view from a large balcony, overlooking the sea and the mountains. The pool area is beautiful. There are plenty of sun loungers. You can order snacks by the poolside. The pool itself is big enough to swim lengths in if you wish to. It is a quiet and relaxing space.

Nothing. The walk into town is a good 15 minutes plus. We did not mind this.

An exceptionally clean and welcoming hotel – truly spotless, with floor tiles gleaming like a mirror. The staff is incredibly attentive, making you feel completely at home. If I ever return to Sorrento, I already know exactly where I’ll stay.

I couldn’t quite connect with the kitchen staff. Their excessive attention and constant hovering felt a bit uncomfortable. A bit more warmth and friendliness would have been appreciated.

Hotel Girasole is a little gem. The staff is friendly and helpful. Our room was immaculate and had a nice balcony with a great view of Mt Vesuvius and the sea. This hotel is not right in the heart of the historic centre, and does require a 15 minute walk to the main square etc. There is a local bus (under 2 euro or taxis (20 euro) if you prefer not to walk that far. Breakfast was large with hot and cold choices. You can enjoy it in a beautiful garden area or inside. The pool was lovely with a very reasonably priced bar service. I would definitely stay there again.

it is a bit of a hike to the lively (busy) centre of Sorrento and train station (900 metres) But that also makes it a nice quiet location as well.

Breakfast was great! The pool area was lovely. Price was good. Close to public pier/beach. Maybe too far from the old town of Sorrento for some, but we liked able to escape the crowds. The staff were very friendly.

Unfortunately our room was on the roadside which was very loud. The exhaust from the vehicles also made its way up to our room, so we kept the windows closed during the day while we were out. This made the room warm when we returned, but not smelly. I asked to switch but was told “No” immediately. I think they were sold out, because the woman didn’t even look at the books. Wasn’t a fan of not being able to bring our own drinks to the pool. That being said the cost of a glass of wine was cheaper than a usual restaurant or bar. Still more expensive than bringing our own though.

Lovely traditional hotel, good breakfast and gorgeous pool area surrounded by lemon and orange trees. Excellent WiFi too. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Rooms comfortable and cleaned every day.

Slightly out of the main centre on a busy road but hotel made up for that with its traditional Italian charm, good facilities and great staff. Book a garden room to avoid the road noise.

Hotel Girasole is a typical stylish Italian family run hotel. We love traditional decor. The hotel was spotlessly clean and well maintained. The rooms were a great size with a balcony, AC throughout, and fab electric black out blind. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. The pool garden setting is idyllic with staff serving drinks and delicious food.

Not a bad word to say about this hotel.

The hotel staff are lovely and it's reasonably priced. Breakfast buffet included scrambled egg which is always a hit with me. House keeping came everyday and you get shower gel etc. We had a gorgeous view from our room.

No air-conditioning 🥺 and the hairdryer is useless. No tea or coffee making facilities in the room. All good apart from that.

The staff were lovely, the pool was a great addition and it was a good hotel that had car spaces. Buffet breakfast had a good variety.

The garden room that we were in was quite dated but considering the cost it can be looked over. The fridge never really got cold, staffed attended promptly but it never really cooled our food etc.
