Great position, old grandeur style, beautiful views

The pool area: although lovely small interconnecting pools with beautiful views, the surrounding terrace needs a complete revamp. However, even as it is, it needs to be cleaner. Many areas just aren’t swept and old pool equipment stored. Broken drinking glass around the pool was only swept (badly) and not vacuumed.

in the room we found a LIZARD on the ceiling! when I went to report to reception they said that the hotel is surrounded by vegetation and this can happen! I never opened the outside door so probably was there for a couple of days! staff said that is nothing that they could do , only of I want another room....very disappointed, it's not a cheap hotel

This is a lovely hotel. The furnishings are lovely, the view is incredible and the environment is fantastic.

The only negative comment I have is that the staff in the restaurant were snobby. They looked down on us and we were the guests! Our first evening we had dinner in the dining room. They got upset because we didn’t order courses of food. We were not very hungry so we decided to share a few things and that made them mad! Our waiter stormed off and talked about us to the other wait staff in Italian. They were very rude. The front desk staff were all very friendly.

The view is beautiful and the balcony lovely. Excellent selection of items at the breakfast buffet. Close proximity to the town centre. Very comfy bed. Lots of beautiful spaces to sit in the many public areas. Furnished beautifully.

Bathroom is pleasing from a design perspective but not very functional. Plug for bathtub is in the middle of the tub right under the shower head and is a safety hazard for tripping or stubbing your toes. Water pressure in shower is awful. In many of the premier deluxe rooms with panoramic view, there is a VERY low beam that runs across part of the room.

The location, the views, and the staff were absolutely wonderful. The front desk was very well coming upon check-in. They were even able to reserve us a private transfer to Naples train station at departure. The restaurant food was excellent and staff super kind.

The rooms were ok. For the price we paid, I expected much nicer. Walls are paper thin. Mind you we were in a room at the end of the hall and you can hear every neighbor slamming doors down the hall, every voice, and every person upstairs above you walking, moving chairs, flushing toilets. It was like living in an apartment in college. Not what I expected from a luxury hotel.

Great location and a very good unique property

There was no bottled water in rooms which is very unusual and would advise hotel to rethink this. No obvious gluten free options at breakfast, which again I think hotel should consider adding

We have stayed at Capodiamonte before, we were celebrating a milestone anniversary and planned a trip with our children and grandchildren, so we reserved 3 rooms and were a party of 8. Two triple rooms, and one double. We requested ajoining rooms and every room had a balcony. The rooms were exceptionally comfortable, bathrobes, coffee makers and lovely bathroom amenities, Every moroning before we went for the very short stroll into the main part of Sorrento Center we enjoyed an incredible breakfast, views of the Bay of Naples while the attentive waiters brought us cappuccino and made omelettes at request . The grandchildren surfed the fruit, breads and pastries !! This vacation was the trip of a lifetime for our family, making memories and Capodiamonte was the perfect setting!

We loved everything, especially the proximity to Piazza Tasso and the ferry, train and bus stations

This was the first time we stayed on this side of Sorento, and it was a pleasant surprise. The pools are just incredible, and very quiet in the mornings after breakfast. The breakfast is expansive and served in the indoor/outdoor restaurant which provided incredible views to start the day. The hotel is gorgeous, with many beautiful outside sitting areas that overlook the bay of Naples and Vesuvius in the distance. It's also an easy 10 minute walk to the center of town. The daily service in our suite was impeccable. The staff were friendly, and extremely helpful from arrival to departure.

The gym was too small for such a large property, and required time slots to reserve.

Hotel was spotlessly clean and well maintained. Breakfast excellent. All staff very helpful. We ate dinner on two nights of our stay - very good quality. Like the quirkiness of the hillside layout. Good location on edge of main town but within easy walking distance to all central areas.

No receipts issued for purchases made in the hotel bar or restaurant. Hotel encouraged all charges to be made to room rather than accepting payment as you go, which added to stress when checking out.

Amazing view and excellent breakfast

Cold swimming pools and only formal dining in the evening. Would be great if the poolside grill opened after 5 pm
