Great location on edge of town with beautiful views. Excellent breakfast lots of choice and friendly helpful staff Good sun terrace area and plunge pool Nice restaurant and bar area with great views

Unfortunately due to unseasonable heavy rain the drains system was a bit smelly in my room ….my friends in other rooms did not have this problem ….they did move me but to next door room which seemed to have same issues . Rooms could have done with a few pictures on walls or something to make a bit less spartan , showers a bit dated and those useless little on the wall hairdryers , but good size rooms, comfortable beds and all very clean. Would have been useful if they had snacks /light lunch menu if staying by pool area during day ….lots of restaurants and bars close by but only drinks and no food on site .

Our room was very noisy on the first night with a shower directly over our head and pipes running through the walls. It was slightly better on the second and third nights. The staff tried to help, but there was nowhere they could move us to.

Chose the Rivarge as stayed here previously 6 years ago. This time the breakfast was a major step forward, all the staff extremely helpfull and friendly. A small but very adequate swimming pool and sun bathing area with views across the Bay of Napels. Enjoyable time sitting on the balcony in the evening drinking your own drinks purchased from the super market opposite the hotel. All very clean and have made excellent upgrades around the pool. Order drinks and snacks from the bar and the staff will bring them to you at your sun lounger. If We ever visit Sorrento again would happily stay again. Would not waste my time searching other establishments. Only 2 mins walk from the beginning of the Surrento town, 20 mins walk from the station. Sad to leave. .

The location was superb. It’s on the main road and within a 7-9 min walk you are at the Piazza Tasso but there are all the reatos, Gelato places and Souvenir shops on the way. And Hotel Rivage is at the end kind of but away from the noise and across from Conad so amazing to buy some cold cuts and cheese and eat on the balcony or floor 3 for those who don’t have a balcony in their room. The Pool was a perfect size and breakfast was just ok but it’s included.

Unfortunately the mattress was absolutely the worst that my husband and I have ever in our life experienced. I literally woke daily with full body pain, we felt all the coils it was terrible so I would wake at 5:00-6:00 am and immediately sit up so that I could stop the pain. I didn’t bother telling the hotel as I wasn’t sure what they could do but I mentioned to them upon leaving and hope they actually test all their mattresses. You shouldn’t bounce that much on a bed and feel all the coils. Front desk mentioned I could have asked for a Topper but I just sucked it up.

I used the hotel mainly as a base to visit places such as Amalfi, Positano, Pompei, etc., so didn't use the whole of the hotel facilities, e.g. the pool, but I had a look around and everything looked ok. The building itself was very well presented. The buffet breakfast was very pleasant and there were options for cooked items such as omelettes if you so desired. The staff in the hotel were very helpful and amenable and their standard of English was way better than my Italian language skills.

The only thing in the negative column for me was the lift (elevator for any American readers). I have a meniscus tear injury in my knee so taking the stairs can be problematic, so prefer to use the lift where I can. There were a couple of occasions where no matter how much pressing of the request button the lift didn't arrive so had to take the stairs.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel in Sorrento. The location was ideal, with easy access to the town and surrounding attractions, but what truly made the experience memorable was the hospitality. The staff were incredibly welcoming, especially at breakfast every morning, always greeting me with a smile and making me feel at home. Their warmth and attentiveness set such a positive tone for each day. The room was comfortable, spotless, and well-kept, providing everything I needed for a relaxing stay. I truly appreciated the genuine care and hospitality here and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Sorrento.

Nice selection of breakfast items. Very clean rooms and good size. The location is perfect and the view from the pool and restaurant is great. The staff is very accommodating and nice. The pool is small, but its not for swimming laps or playing around. Its a nice luxury to cool off and enjoy the view before relaxing on the sunbeds.

The rooms are not very soundproof and unfortunately our upstairs neighbor decided to move furniture around during the night by dragging them across the room as well as showering in the night which was very loud in our room. The sink in our bathroom was very low and the shower wasn't too big but overall no dealbreakers for us.

The location of the hotel is perfect as you just have to walk along the main street (Corso Italia) and you are there. The room had a spacious balcony and the bed was really comfortable. Bathroom was big enough and there was hot water. The breakfast was really great with lots of options. The staff were kind, friendly and helpful. The hotel had an amazing lounge (we were on the 3rd floor) with sofas, armchairs and a large balcony with tables and chairs with a view of the sea. We were there in November and the price of the room including the amazing breakfast was definitely worth what we got for it.

Picked this hotel because it was competitively priced, we were slightly worried what we might find as a result. All the public areas of the hotel are great, lovely breakfast room with a view over the bay, clean (if small) pool, well set up sunbathing terrace, lovely "winter lounge" with a quiet balcony, all very stylish. Rooms are basic, not huge, furnishings and decor a bit tired. We tried two economy rooms with balcony - none of these have views, we were overlooking adjoining buildings with the tiniest side peep of the sea -and a normal garden view without balcony, better view out of the window and a higher ceiling but otherwise nothing to choose between it and the economy rooms, the extra cost not worth it in my opinion. All rooms immaculately clean with good showers and comfortable beds. Hand towels and bidet towels are not terry towelling but the bath sheets and pool towels are. Our beds were changed every day and you could get fresh towels every day too, if you want. Fridge in the rooms with a bottle of water. No tea or coffee making facilities though. Staff lovely and helpful in reception. Breakfast staff a bit frazzled. We'd contemplated having a meal in the restaurant (the breakfast room also does lunches and dinners) but weren't convinced we'd get decent service. Good choice of pastries, bread, ham, cheese, fruit, cake etc at breakfast, and eggs, bacon, omelettes etc to order, quality varied, I had one fantastic omelette and one that had been left in the pan too long. Coffee only OK and tea was yellow Lipton's bags and not hot enough water 😂. Well situated at the end of the main drag, easy walk to the bars, restaurants, harbour etc. Little supermarket opposite. We'd go back if in Sorrento again.

Rooms were a bit cold, at the end of September the unit in the room was cooling only, not heating. It would have been good to be able to make a hot drink in the room in the mornings first thing.

Rivage is in an excellent location. Staff so polite, helpful and always greeted with a smile. The pool area is small but never crowded so no issue with the normal trying to get a sun lounger which was great.

We just had one small issue with the electrics at our end of the hotel which involved maintenance needing to be in and out of our room for a few hours, this was fine but we did find our door unlocked at one stage when we returned. Staff were very apologetic when informed.
