This was a wonderful location on the Main Street lined with restaurants and shops (no cars just pedestrians). The property was in a secured building and we enjoyed the space of our family suite. The air conditioning was great, shower was nice and hot and the balconies looked to the beautiful town. There were countless restaurants surrounding us. I would have loved if there was a top 10 list for food.

I wish there was laundry services that could have collected and dropped off to us rather than a local laundromat.

This hotel was about a 10min walk from the Train Station in Sorrento, right in Piazza Tasso which was perfect location for us. The little balcony looked out to Corso Italia which has many restaurants and shops. We stayed in early March 2025, so not heavy tourist season, many shops and restaurants not open yet. Not sure if this location would be noisy with nightlife in peak tourist season? Our room was set up with 1 queen + 2 single beds which was perfect for our family. The room was cozy and clean, the wifi worked well, there was a little table and chairs where we had breakfast each morning (from the local cafes and bakeries of which there were plenty closeby). The hotel was about a 10min walk to the Marina Piccola (where you can catch a ferry to Capri, Naples, or down the Amalfi Coast), about a 10min walk to the Train Station (where you can catch a train to Naples or SITA bus down the coast). So many restaurants, cafes, shops, bakeries and amenities close by. The staff working at the desk were friendly and helpful.

We stayed in this hotel for 5nights and it would've been handy if they had a washing machine onsite. We did find a laundromat about a 10min walk down the street.

The room was amazingly, unique and quaint and stylish. It’s had great boutique / personal vibe that felt like where we were staying. Amazing view of the main square from one window with beautiful wooden shutters - like something from a movie. The room was exceptionally clean and the staff were so so helpful and friendly and accommodating, willing to help with anything you may need to make your stay more pleasurable.

The only one thing I could possibly say as a negative was the view from one window was a little poor (but more than made up for by the other one!!). And my partner found the hairdryer to be very weak and took ages to dry her hair. Other than that I would say it was perfect.

It was an unforgettable experience. We booked two rooms—one for my sister and another for my mother and me. Both rooms were exceptionally spacious with large, comfortable beds, which is a luxury in Italy! The elegance of La Casa dell'Orologio cannot be overstated; it blends classic Italian charm with modern amenities, making each stay delightful. Our room offered a stunning view of Piazza Tasso, adding to the enchantment of our visit. The presence of an elevator was an added convenience, often a rare find in such beautifully preserved properties. Our place in Rome had 4 flights of stairs, goodness! We were so charmed by our stay that we wanted to extend it, but unfortunately, they were fully booked. This only speaks to the popularity and appeal of this place. I have absolutely no criticisms of this place. It's easily one of the best accommodations I've experienced in Italy so far. I look forward to returning to La Casa dell'Orologio again and again. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Sorrento! Gotta add that the manager was a very pleasant and helpful person!

Excellent location right off the main square. Could not beat the convenience--just walked out the door to the main square, restaurants, and shops. Absolutely the most clean place that we have ever stayed at! It was spotless! Beds were comfortable, water pressure in shower was wonderful, and the AC unit worked great. Was very quiet even with the location right off the square. The views from the small balcony were wonderful. Recommend making sure you let staff know what time you are planning on arriving so that someone is there to meet you and get you into your room. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

More chairs or benches to sit on since there really is not a place to sit in the main room where the pull out bed is.

I sent a review previously. I was very happy the beautiful large room, lovely decor, large beautiful shower room with bidet, two little balconies, one you could sit out on - all in all perfect for us.

We liked everything about our room, the advice we got from the receptionist and the cleanliness - everything was just amazing. The hotel is one floor 3 or 4 of a 4 or 5 storey building and there is a lift from right inside the door. It is really central but not at all noisy

Central location in Sorrento. Good for exploring the local area shops and restaurants. Easy to get to/from train station. Not as noisy as expected. The room was well kept, and had all the amenities we needed.

Bedding - beds were firm (but OK) but pillows left a lot to be desired (sore necks). More hooks would be good - for coats, bath supplies. The armoire wasn't functional (except for drawers which were full of extra bedding). Spare suitcase stands would be helpful too - and probably for cleaning staff; only one for a room of 4 people - trip hazards.

Giulia was exceptionally friendly, the room was modern, light and airy, and had two balconies, one with a superior view, and the other with chairs and a table. The bathroom was modern, yet very Sorrento with its floral tile. There was a nice coffee machine in the lobby and a snack machine as well. The cost was reasonable. We stayed at Positano for the following three nights, and both wished we would have just stayed the whole time at this hotel.

Our stay was one of the best we've ever experienced! The hotel is located just 50 feet off Piaza Tasso, the heart of Sorrento. Check-in was a breeze and the entire staff were friendly and very helpful. Simona was the perfect hostess-she made arrangements for a tour of the Amalfi coast for us, which was perfect. When we return to Sorrento someday, I wouldn't stay anywhere else.

The owner was so welcoming and kind. Waiting for us to arrive at a late hour, due to flight delays, and organising our transfer. Her communication was fantastic keeping us well informed and checking in to see how we were progressing. The accommodation was convenient - centrally placed overlooking Plaza Tasso (main square) and very comfortable with everything we needed for our stay including necessary air con (a god send in a heatwave), a fridge and a kettle and tea bags for a relaxing cuppa. The bed was comfortable, shower had great pressure and hot water all times of the day. There is a convenient lift for taking luggage to the room. the room was clean and the friendly cleaner came daily to empty the bin, make the beds and make the place look neat and tidy. sheets and towels were also changed regularly during our stay. Not a problem for us but the square is lively and you can hear ambient sounds in the nighttime but this simply added to the whole fantastic ambience of our stay.
