A really spacious & light apartment. We stayed in the ‘Green Room’ & had an upstairs for the children. The fridge was really useful & the second toilet/shower room too. A lovely little roof terrace added an extra touch. Perfect location in the hub of everything, just off of Piazzo Tasso. A short 8min walk to the train station. Room was cleaned & made up each day. Plenty of space to unpack things. A nice tray of complimentary snacks/breakfast. Bathroom was nice & fresh & again, spacious. Plugs next to the bed made a nice change. Bed in the main room was VERY comfortable! Sergio & Ivana very helpful hosts. We could have stayed a lot longer & would be so, so happy to stay again.

There are 82 stairs up to the apartment, which was hard, especially with our luggage. We were offered assistance which we accepted, but we were then told it would be an additional €30! We found the accommodation by chance, so we cancelled the service. I think if you’re fit & able & travelling lightly, you’ll be okay. The little roof terrace was an extra bonus, but it could do with a small table & more comfortable chairs to make things relaxing.

We used the two rooms split by a small atrium. Both were very large, clean and well furnished. There were small balconies which looked over the main paedestrian road near the old town. The "green" room had the double bed on the lower level and a single bed with small kitchen and ensuite up a flight of stairs. This then led onto a private verandah with views of the water and mount Vesuvius. The host was very helpful. Both rooms were air conditioned.

There were no elevators so a bit of a climb to the apartments. The steps leading up to the second room in the green room were steep but manageable for us.

Everything, the location, the cleanliness, the breakfast, the staff, all of it. The room was spacious with good amount of storage for clothes and cleaned everyday. Free Netflix is a great touch too! Although situated on the Main Street, the rooms keep out most of the noise at night and we had no trouble sleeping when we didn’t stay out late. It is almost in the middle of everything so it is only a short walk to some of the best restaurants you will eat at and the train station and port. The small balcony is a great way to watch the world go by and it was amazing walking out on there in the morning to help wake us up to start the day. The bathroom was clean and modern and everything is kept pristine. Small amounts of kitchen items are provided for your breakfast items and although we didn’t use it, there is a cooker if needed. Not a criticism on our part at all as we are used to stairs but more a warning to others, there is no lift and the room is 4 flights upstairs. As I said, it’s not a criticism at all, more a constructive warning to potential users. My view is, if you are going to somewhere like Sorrento or the Amalfi coast, you need to expect and be able to do some sort of walking uphill at times so this was easy compared to some places we visited on our stay there. Although not on site, the staff are available when you need them via the phone and the communication levels were great. Definitely would recommend and definitely would use again when we come back.

Nothing, it was perfect.

We loved staying at Margiò House. The location is excellent. It is close to many shops and excellent restaurants. Sergio & Ivana were both very helpful when we were making our arrangements, and also when we had a few questions during our stay. Everything was wonderful in the room and also the bath. We were pleasantly surprised to see snacks for us in the kitchen. The views out the front windows are beautiful. The stairs up to the apartment are beautiful, and quite manageable, even for me with my cane.

If someone has significant challenges walking up stairs, or becomes dizzy while walking up a spiral staircase, another stay would be better.

The apartment was in a good location, easy to walk to from train station and in the town center. Great location for what we wanted to do (harbor for ferries, restaurants, walks to window shop and see the old town area. Apartment was very clean and adequately furnished for a 3 night stay. Very nice view of the Bay of Naples from rooftop terrace (also nice to have a small clothes line for handwashing a few clothes). Would stay here again.

Minor inconvenience of losing hot water for an evening and over night but host quickly resolved once informed of the issue. Believe the host when he warns that you will be going up several flights of stairs to get to the apartment (and within the apartment the kitchen and access to rooftop terrace is up a short but steep staircase). Fine for a fit couple of 70/68 year olds traveling with fairly light carry on luggage, but not recommended for either mobility challenged persons or persons with large suitcases. The view from the terrace and good location made the climbs worth it. Washing machine would be nice, but absence would not prevent us from staying here again.

Comfortable bed and room was very large. They had a little kitchenette which was well stocked as well and bathroom was nice. The area that the accommodation is in is very central as it is right on the main street. Everywhere is within walking distance. Bus stop is only 7 min walk away.

It was on the 4th floor which is quite alot of stairs so would not be suitable for people who have trouble walking up stairs or have heavy large luggages as the stairs spiral up. Breakfast was just prepackaged croissants and mini muffins that was replenished daily so not really 'breakfast'. The most confusing thing was the tax as booking.com says it should be 3 euro per night but they charged 4 euro per night.

The location, in the heart of the town, was perfect. It was clean, comfortable and had everything you need for a comfortable stay.

The 4 flights of stairs posed a bit of a challenge with our large luggage. We usually travel light, but this trip was different, we had large luggage from coming off of a cruise, and the stairs were an issue with our luggage. (This would not have been an issue ordinarily, but people should be aware of the long climb up)

I like the location very much it’s literally just walks near the train station and bus station. Its near the supermarket and restaurants and the Port to capri,Amalfi,Positano is also several minutes walk away. The view is fantastic, city view and the sea.And specially the owner is very accommodating and kind.I would definitely go back if I have a chance a cozy room literally in the heart of Sorrento

I loved everything just the long stairs because there is no elevator.but of course you will just walk the stairs twice once you go up and down😂

Wow! This property was amazing. The bed room is spacious and clean, the bed is very comfy, the air con works perfectly and the property is beautifully designed in the most central location. Just to top everything off the balcony is an absolute highlight! Amazing views perfect for having breakfast on or a glass of wine in the evening. I would completely recommend anyone visiting Sorrento to stay at Margio House!

What a location!!! A beautiful apartment right off the main square with authentic shops, cafès and restaurants ... fantastic for people watching and a leisurely wander around the many shops in the tiny streets of Sorrento. We booked the Green Room which had the most amazing terrace to watch the sun set and the moon come up. We sat up there most evenings and listened to the lovely sounds of the street below whilst overlooking Vesuvius, Pompeii and Naples Yes, as mentioned in other reviews, it is on the 4th floor but you only have to take your luggage up once... and it only takes a few minutes 🤷‍♀️ (totally understand though if stairs are an issue) Such a comfy bed, room air con and the cleaner came in everyday!! Central to all you need, a great base for exploring Sorrento. Communication was great from Ivana and Sergio.... thank you so much! We will be recommending to friends and family 😁

Nothing about Margiò House that we didnt like Would just say to other travellers not to be taken in by taxi drivers (maybe not all) but we were charged €20 for a 4 minute drive up the hill to the main square from the port! Its €1,10 on the little buses or €1,30 in the lift (right of the port)
