Booking.com offered me a free upgrade to a double superior, so I can't judge based on the regular rooms, but the superior was indeed very spacious, particularly the bathroom. The staff was very friendly, and overall, a very positive experience.

Bed was too hard. Hotel gives a sense that it has seen better days, but the price-to-quality ratio that I was offered was excellent. The neighbourhood is a rather long walk from the centre (about 25-40 minutes depending on your destination), but there are trams running - very rarely in July. I could walk all the way to the city centre along the tram line and not see a single one pass. In fact, while waiting for the tram (I tried it once), a lady told me that the frequency is every 30-45 minutes during the summer time. There is a metro station (Bernini) about 10 minutes of a walk from the hotel - probably a better choice since the metro trains pass every five minutes or so). Of course, this has nothing to do with the hotel, but it is something you might want to keep in mind.

The hotel staff were very welcoming and patient with our queries and helped us to navigate around the city. The rooms were big and clean with very good facilities for a comfortable stay. The highlight was the extravagant breakfast having a variety of continental to typical Italian dishes for everyone to relish. Hence, especially for tourists and people coming to the city for the first time, this place is very welcoming.

Reception, lobby, room and bathroom were all of a high to good standard.

The area was not as I expected for a hotel with Royal in its title, neither central or rural, nor was the architecture of the hotel. Kettle in room, but only green tea to use it with. Further from Porta Susa than appeared on Booking.com map.

Liked the garage for safety for the car. Liked Heinz alot great person working there!

The room was comfortable and clean, and the staff was helpful and professional. The hotel has good access to public transport to explore Turin. Overall, good value for money.

4-star for this hotel is stretching it a bit. Some facilities, like bathrooms, feel dated and should be renovated (e.g., the shower is somewhat uncomfortable for modern standards). Likewise, the electrical installation could be renovated. The sockets are old and don't fit the plugs of modern devices well.

The hotel is normally not far from the city center but public transport in Torino is atrocious. Found myself walking a lot more than expected.

Hotel is in the perfect location staff on high level breakfast delicious:) 100m away from hotel you can use train nomber 3 and 16 also you have bus no.59 for 4 euros daily card you can drive any place in turin. Best of the best...

I didn't like the fact that the room I stayed in was situated in the attic. I would have liked a lower floor room.
