Check in and the excellent breakfast are at the luxury traditional hotel Sitea round the corner, of which the 'Royal Palace' is a dependence without its own services, which is not clear on Booking.com. It is a converted large 'palace' (town house) with a grand and beautifully restored internal staircase. However, our room - modernised, a bit anonymous, but large and good bathroom - was not on the grand first floor (the 'piano nobile') but on the mezzanine floor below, which is really meant for the servants... meaning quite low ceilings and small windows. Moreover, as opposed to the Sitea which is located on the pedestrian Via Carlo Alberto, the palace stands in front of it at the corner with Via Cavour, which is rather trafficked, so you have to keep your window closed. We should have booked directly with the hotel to get a room on the piano nobile or higher and/or on the Carlo Alberto side of the building. Sorry Booking.com! This said, the annex is just as impeccably and professionally run as the hotel itself, from the front desk to the bar to the valet service. All rather expensive but worth it.

Excellent location and extremely professional staff who really are the highlight of the hotel. The room was extremely large and did maintain some level of authenticity to its historic architecture. The bed was also very comfortable.

The rooms have no insulation between them, so the neighbors kept us up most of the night till we banged on their door and to their credit they kept the noise down. The shower water pressure was also very weak and the furniture and general interior design significantly cheapened what could be a luxurious experience in a historic property.

Beautiful rooms in a historic building, across the road from the Grand Hotel Sitea where you check in and can use all the facilities. In the Royal Palace Suites you are looked after by a fabulous butler, Marco, who is on call to attend to all your needs. We loved the personal touch and convenience. The location is great, within 10 minutes walk of the major attractions (other than Lingotto which is 10 minutes away by taxi) and all the shops that my wife and daughters wanted were within a couple of minutes walk. Breakfast in the Sitea was superb, as was the Bistrot in the Hotel.

There was nothing we didn't like

The room was breathtakingly beautiful, roomy and had an impressive ceiling height and moldings. Very bright and comfortable. The staff and specifically the concierge was extremely nice, helpful and professional. Keep in mind this property is not attached to the Hotel but it is only a mere steps away. It is close to everything we wanted to do.

The hotel was absolutely beautiful. The room was a great size and clean. Our butler Marco was excellent. He was so helpful and didn’t let us lift a finger. We also had access to the wellness room with the sauna and steam room which was wonderful. The buffet breakfast was also great! Would highly recommend a stay here.

Don’t be fooled by the exterior of the Royal Palace Hotel; inside the grey walls is a magnificently updated palace with impressive staircase, frescoes, mosaic floors and spacious accomodation including bathroom and the most comfortable huge bed. A major domo met and indeed anticipated our every need. Plus, situated in the centre of the city we could reach every major sight on foot. I highly recommend this hotel priced most reasonably.

Everything then interior. The staff was amazing especially Jonathan he was exceptional.

The electric sockets next to the bed where not European. Only the ones outside. The breakfast area there should be separate labeled spoons for the food as the same spoons used for the cheese where used for the bacon and cold cuts. But staff was super helpful!

Every thing was perfect except for it eas not clear from the booking that room was away from the services such as lounge etc. It was in another building across the road. We had toask. Change of room to the main building.

Very charming and unique setting. Lovely experience to be able to stay in such a historical place - private yet with the services of the Sitea hotel. Welcoming staff and excellent service. Thank you 🙏
