The location fabulous as close to Porta Nuova and also within walking distance of significant places of interest and a short walk to an excellent shopping area. Water machines providing cold water on our floor. Beautiful vestibule/waiting/sitting area. Our room was quite large with a table and four antique style chairs. Very comfortable and appealing to the eye in that sense.

No shelf space at all in the bathroom. Nowhere to put toiletries etc. The air conditioning was mediocre and insufficient and made the hot nights of our stay very uncomfortable. Our room had the red neon “Hotel” sign outside our window the light of which could not be blocked out. Because it was so hot at night, we needed to open the windows but that meant we had all the street noise as well as the neon light. Upgrading the air conditioning and providing shelf space and extra towel rail space in the bathroom would be helpful.

Phenomenal hotel! I had a wonderful time and it caught me by surprise. The balcony was fantastic. I sat outside and enjoyed having a private terrace. The bed is extremely comfortable and I melted right into it. The sheets are clean, soft, and super comfortable. The shower - rainforest style - lots of space and great pressure. The room was immaculate and I enjoyed every minute. They also provide extra pillows and blankets in the armoire, a nice touch. Great AC and a nice widescreen TV. Room was super quiet. Breakfast two thumbs up. What a nice selection and abundance of all you could ask for. I would love to live in this hotel! It’s perfectly done and in a prime location near the train and all the museums and shops. I also took a long walk all along the river and it is magnificent - you can start and end right from the hotel. The staff are all top notch, professional, and truly provide excellent guest service. I will definitely come back to this hotel - a favorite.

Excellent location and close to really nice areas in Turin. We had a room for a week at front with balcony on to park and considering it was so close to station, it was very quiet. Breakfast was great and nice to have an outside area. Bed very comfortable. Staff very friendly and helpful. A good value hotel in excellent location.

Air con didn’t work but staff responded very quickly and provided 2 efficient fans within half an hour. Looking a bit tired in areas but this hotel has massive potential -ready for an update in places.

The hotel is really beautiful and very clean. The interior is comfy and pretty. There's a patio on the second floor where you can order drinks and it was just really tranquil. My room had a refrigerator and the bed was very comfy. The location is awesome - I took a Bus from the airport that dropped me off on the opposite side and it was like only a 2 minute walk from the hotel. The Porta Nuova station is also just across the street and it's right in the centro. There's a lot of options at breakfast, I wouldn't say it's anything extraordinary but overall it was very good. They also provide gluten free bread and pastries. The staff was very very welcoming and nice.

I arrived on a friday and since the windows aren't very thick I had to use ear plugs to sleep because it was very noisy outside. It was a bit unfortunate but I was able to sleep well with the earplugs. Also the whole building isn't very sound proof. I could hear the people in the room next to me get back to the hotel. My door sometimes rattled when someone closed theirs.

The property was very central at the hotel was spotlessly clean. We had a lovely spacious room with very comfortable beds. We also had a fridge in our room. We had an inside room which overlooked the middle of the hotel. I could probably have been a little bit lighter but was absolutely fine. The staff were incredibly helpful and gave us easy to follow directions to various different sites. The breakfast was more than adequate and the dining room area was spotlessly clean.

There was not a lot to comment on, but it would’ve been nice to have had a safe in our room , however the safe in the reception area was easily accessible at the staff were was that helpful. The only other thing is that The bath glass panel would’ve been better with a seal on as it was quite easy for the water to come under the edge when having a shower, other than that, nothing negative.

The location is great as it's within walking distance of most places of interest and shops. We didn't have to take public transport except when heading outside of Turin. The hotel is very well maintained and the staff very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is very good with plenty of choices from cereal to Italian cold cuts, hot sausages and scrambled eggs, pastries, cakes, and fresh fruits. Best of all is the late night gelateria just round the corner.

I'm not very impressed with the room. It's very small and there's no place to put my clothes so I just kept them in my luggage bag.

Just a few steps from Porta Nuova railway station and 10-15m from the historic centre, this hotel is perfectly placed. There are plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby. My room was nicely furnished and the bed comfortable. Workng air conditioning, internal courtyard facing window so quiet. Staff very helpful and approachable. 2 lifts. Water dispenser in reception.

Water dispenser on 4th floor corridor not working. Fridge in room not working. No safe. Taps difficult to turn off and inclined to drip.

Hotel Roma e Rocca Cavour was exceptional from start to finish. A beautifully appointed building, situated under the classical arches and we were given a beautiful high ceilinged room with a balcony. Even though we were three hours early we got to check in straight away. The room overlooked the square and gave us our first view of one of the most excellent restaurants we found. On our first night there, and somewhat jaded we picked the one right underneath us and this review would not be complete without a raving heads up for the amazing La Drogheria Pugliese in the Plaza Pietro Paleocapa. Such food is simply an art form in itself and the price was more than reasonable. The staff in the hotel are the perfect balance of friendly and professional and were more than helpful throughout our stay. From booking taxis, giving general advice and providing more than a couple of late night bottles of wine we really couldn't rate them high enough. The hotel itself is perfectly located and the Royal Palace and all the many outstanding exhibitions, (too many to list, we're still in culture overload!) are all within a fifteen minute amble of it's front door. For me the spazio calmo area on the second floor was the perfect retreat at the end of each day. A raised airy and leafy inner courtyard, discreetly lit and adorned with tables and chairs became the place where I could reflect and try and piece together the complicated and unusual history of this city as my better half retired to bed exhausted from trying to combine non-stop shopping and my desire to visit every museum I could find. These late night ponderings are where the wine comes in and the Barbera D'Asti recommended by the extremely competent and patient night manager was the perfect fit for my mood, which he gauged perfectly. For style, location and service this is the perfect place to stay in Turin

There is simply nothing negative to say.

The hotel is beautiful and definitely has a luxury feel. It is right beside Porta Nuova train station which is very convenient. The bedroom and ensuite were excellent - very spacious with a lot of storage and the furnishings were great with a large flatscreen TV. We stayed in a triple room (double bed with a sofa bed) but the sofa bed was the size of another double bed and was very comfortable. The air conditioning in the bedroom worked well. Another nice touch was the free water dispensers in the hotel corridor which provided normal drinking water, extra cold drinking water and fizzy drinking water meaning plastic was not wasted buying new bottles of water as you could refill old ones. There was an excellent range of options for breakfast including vegetables, fruit, cereals, cakes, pastries, teas, yoghurt and three hot drinks machines which served excellent coffee and hot chocolate. The staff throughout the hotel were very friendly and helpful, especially the gentleman on reception who helped me with directions to tourist attractions including marking locations on a map and provided recommendations on what to visit. He was even kind enough to speak in Italian with me so I could practise and improve my Italian. We would highly recommend Hotel Roma e Rocca Cavour.

The Wi-Fi did not seem to have a password and when I was about to connect, my phone warned me that the Wi-Fi did not have a secure connection. There should be encrypted Wi-Fi with a strong password for guests to use. Some of the sockets in the bedroom did not fit our plug adapters. It's usual to find a kettle, cups and a selection of tea and coffee automatically provided in hotel rooms but we needed to request this. However, when the kettle, tea and coffee were requested, they were quickly provided.

One night stay heading thru mountains to France. Kind, helpful front desk staff. Room was very large with balcony onto piazza. Arrived via train and quick 3 min walk across main road to hotel. Great to have a fridge to keep cold beverages during summer heat. Room was cool due to AC. Bed was perhaps a bit on the firmer side but still comfortable. Just outside hotel, you'll find cafes and shops. Very convenient. Really enjoyed our stay. Breakfast had great options, hot items and healthy choices.
