The hotel is located in the San Salvario area, maybe 15 minutes walking from the train station. The staff was nice and there's a tiny cafe and lounge area. We booked a private double room, which was spacious and the bathroom was very nice. The room was on the upper floor, with windows facing the street so there was some noise at night from passerbys and party goers. The location was a bit far from the city center itself but doable, some 20 or 25 minutes walking, always straight ahead. But there's a tram line nearby. You can reach the river front in just a few minutes which was lovely. There are restaurants near and the wonderful Domo gelato just a few steps away! Overall it was a good price-location find and a great choice, would stay again!

Location is ok,super friendly staff, there’s a little cafe offering breakfast in the morning so if you want a quick grab of bites and then continue for your adventure it’s convenient elsewhere just go to the bakery next street it’s convenient, also it’s close to many bus and tram station.

The floor is cold so make sure you bring your own loafer or slipper, the washroom can be better if the toilet and shower room is separated instead of a single unit hence multiple users could benefit from it .

We were pleasantly surprised by how spacious our room was, with its own balcony overlooking a quiet jasmine-filled courtyard. The staff are very pleasant and helpful, and the breakfast is excellent with plenty of choice. You pay for what you order, and we’re not huge breakfast eaters, so we enjoyed juice, croissant, cake, fluffy pancakes and, of course, excellent freshly made coffee, served in the courtyard, for less than the price of a breakfast buffet in a chain hotel.

The location was not that convenient for us, but the walking did us good!

It is a must visit if you are looking for a budget friendly hostel close to the railway station. Most places in the city centre were accessible by walking. The hostel was clean and staff members were friendly. Hostel was equipped with kitchen, laundry space and playing room. Instructions to get inside after reception hours were clear and easy to follow. Would definitely book again if I go to Turin.

The hostel has been recently renovated to have a fresh and colourful style. Very nice the wall papers dedicated to Italian songs. The common areas are comfortable, clean, and well-equipped. The staff is kind. The bed was very comfortable and the room had everything you needed. The hostel is located in an area that is easy to reach with public transport and is surrounded by nice restaurants and bars. I would also recommend the place for solo travellers.

The place seemed very nice with good facilities-like washing machine kitchen etc, terrace and staff were friendly. Appreciated the lift. My room was fine-very clean etc, was just a little disappointed that it did not have balcony as advertised and staff explained this was due to booking.com but felt it could have been compensated as it does not seem fair the rooms cost the same with or without balcony

My stay in Tomato was excellent, this was my first solo trip and i think i made the best decision ever by choosing them as a hostel, everything is super clean, towels are provided, i was in a room of four and it was quite nice, beds are super comfortable, each bed has a lamp to avoid disturbing others. You can have breakfast in the morning for a cheap price. The staff are super kind (Carlotta and Thomaso were so friendly). I didnt go during the high holidays so i didnt meet a lot of you guys people, but there are different facilities in the hotel to help you know others (ping pong table, card games, there is a kitchen as well) and a small terrasse. As for the location it was super close to everything i didnt take the bus

The staff were very helpful & they let me store my bag early in the am before I checked in later. My room was spotless & spacious & their kitchen was very helpful for a solo traveller. And the breakfast pastries & coffee were fresh and delicious.

I requested a bottom bunk but was assigned a top bunk; I pointed this out and was given a single room which was perfect for an elderly person.

Very friendly helpful staff. Calm, well organised and a pleasant atmosphere plus an excellent choice of breakfast options. The location is excellent for dining options and a lively selection of meeting places.

My room was at the front on the main street so it was a bit noisy in the evening - but next time I will remember my ear plugs or request a room at the back. It wasn't a major issue.

The rooms are very spacious and the bed was comfortable. This hostel is very quiet, which for me was perfect, but if you are looking for a social place I don’t think this is it. I enjoyed the kitchen which was fully stocked for cooking, and there are many quiet areas to read, relax or do some work. The location is amazing, walking distance to almost everything you’d want to see and a short walk from many trams or the metro. The staff here were also extremely friendly and kind.

More privacy in the beds would be ideal.
