My wife and I stayed as a couple for 3 nights at Rosa Salva in the Superior Double Room with City View. The location is very good for someone visiting Venice for the first time. The staff at the front desk is very efficient and friendly. Should you have any queries about events or similar in Venice during your stay, do reach out to them, they are very helpful. The hotel has a small elevator that goes all the way up to 3rd floor. The rooms are air-conditioned. The room is nice sized and well lit and airy. Since the hotel is surrounded by other buildings of similar height, choosing a higher floor might be better for someone who likes their room brighter and more airy. The lighting inside the room is very well done as well, so it's nice and bright at night too. All-in-all our room was well designed and put together, and the bed is comfortable. Housekeeping was excellent, and the room is spotlessly clean. A couple of beverages in the refrigerator, some refreshments, and crackers and jam are complimentary and replenished daily. The Hotel has a very popular bakery next to it. It seems to be on the tourist map so it's almost always quite full. Guests of the hotel get a 10% discount. The bakery opens at about 8ish in the morning so in case anyone has any excursions planned for 9-10am, they could pick something up and head out. This is a very popular bakery and while I didn't eat much here, I could see many others enjoying the goodies. There is a pizza and pasta place around the corner (it opens in the afternoon I think). The pizza and pasta I ate there were both excellent, and they also offer soft alcohol and beer etc. If you can afford the prices and are in Venice for the first time, or are a repeat visitor to Venice and want to stay near St Mark's Square and about, I would recommend Rosa Salva.

Venice is expensive and so is this hotel. One is paying for the location and the city. I would have liked a bit more variety at the bakery. Not into eating too much bread to start the day, and guess what's most amply available at a bakery :-D

Clean, spacious, well located. The room was lovely.

The only complaint is that the staff in the adjacent bakery which is where breakfast is taken was extremely rude and generally unpleasant. They can be avoided by opting out of breakfast service and just patronizing any number of other spots close by. I understand that serving tourists is taxing for the local population but open hostility toward those who provide one’s livelihood just can’t be rewarded with captive business. The hotel would be wise to decouple from the bakery and partner elsewhere.

The hotel is located in the heart of Venice. The water taxi stop is about a 6–7 minute walk from the hotel. Although breakfast was not available at the hotel, there is a wonderful bakery right next door. We were able to place our order there each morning and enjoy it conveniently inside the hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful, always accommodating our requests.

A breakfast buffet was not available, but there were plenty of restaurants and coffee shops on every corner. It was absolutely no problem.

This hotel was a little gem in Venice! It was in a great location half way between St. Marks Square and the Rialto bridge. Lots of restaurants were close by and the bakery that is attached to the hotel was terrific! I would book this hotel again in a heartbeat!

Our room had 2 stairs up to the bathroom which was difficult for us to negotiate, especially in the middle of the night, due to bad knees. The hotel should have had a notation on this room before you book it.

The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of everything, making it easy to get around. The reception staff were extremely polite and friendly, responding to my urgent request with impressive speed that gave me complete peace of mind. It’s a reliable and well-managed property. The on-site restaurant meant we never had to worry about meals, and the hotel itself is modern, clean, and comfortable. We truly enjoyed our stay.

The hotel kindly assisted us in arranging transport to and from both the train station and the airport, which was very convenient. However, payment for these services had to be made in cash. It would be even better if card payments were accepted, offering more flexibility for guests

The room was lovely - clean, modern and well-stocked, with effective air conditioning. The beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was a great size with a huge double shower. The staff were very friendly. The building was in a peaceful part of town but very central and only a short walk to St Marks Square and the Rialto Bridge. The bakery attached to the hotel was great for breakfast. The restaurant just a few doors down on the same street (we were in the apartments separate from the reception) was fantastic. The Rosa Salva Hotel would be my first choice if we were to visit Venice again - I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others.

There are no improvements that I could suggest.

Convenient location and love the cozy design!! Both hotel room and apartment suite are very well equipped. Enrico and the staff were incredibly helpful and communicative, making the arrangements for our airport transfer (water taxi + private van) seamlessly - we are a group of 8, truly appreciate their assistance!

Not a downside but just a side note for future family travellers: We booked an apartment suite and two double rooms for our group of eight. However the suite was located in a separate building about 20m from the hotel (just around the corner so not a big deal). That said, since we were travelling as a big family with seniors, it was still slightly inconvenient. Hence just something to keep in mind - make sure to book the same type of room if you want to stay together.

The property was perfectly located, although only a couple of streets away from St.Marks Square, it was quiet and you didn’t feel in the middle of all the tourists. The staff were incredibly helpful and courteous. We were in the annex part of the hotel which was delightful. The Rosa Salva hotel has a lovely bakery attached, so coffee and a cake for breakfast were right on the doorstep. The complimentary drink and snacks in the room were a really nice touch, you don’t get that in many hotels now.

If I was being super picky, maybe a mirror in the main room would be handy.

The location is truly in the heart of Venice. Easy access to everything! Staff were nice. The room size was huge given it was in the most touristy area of Venice. The pictures made the hotel look like everything was brand spanking new but its definitely been several years since any upgrade. No complaints though, it was within our budget.

We stayed at two locations in venice. Rosa Salva and a Airbnb in the Cannaregio area. The Airbnb was 60% of the Rosa Salva costs but of course no daily housekeeping or 24hr access to a concierge. Overall, I cant say Rosa Salva is worth the extra cost but if you want to be in the heart of Venice with lots of shopping near by, this hotel is key.

The staff (Antonio in particular) went above and beyond to help us arrange transport to get to the airport at 4 in the morning. They were helpful, courteous, pleasant and always reliable. The location simply cannot be beat and the family room is wonderful for families with children. Also loved that the rooms had free water, yogurt, juice and crackers. The staff also made the beds and replaced everything in the room EACH night, which was wonderful.

The family room does not have lift access and we knew this so we were ok with it but others might. It's very short flights and the staff carried our suitcases up (which they didn't have to do but we appreciated very much!!)
