Location, safety (two doors , two different codes to enter), the room was decorated with the local Venetian aesthetic, bathroom was inside our room another review said bathrooms were down the hall, church bells were not too loud at all as other reviews said…the difference is windows open vs closed…for me either way it was a pleasant sound or I slept through it, vibrant upbeat music from the souvenir shop below and the sound of lively people touring the Venice street below. A good balance of quiet and lively. Although we didn’t have a lot of luggage, it was still nice to have our room on one of the lower floors vs climbing to the top without having the rooftop view.

The staff felt a bit judgmental, but they did answer our questions about payment, how to use the mosquito repellant device and directions. We said hello on our way in and out as other guests did, but it didn’t feel like we were building connection. We had two bidets. One worked like a toilet, but it was missing the toilet seat. I didn’t feel like bringing it up to our staff.

Location was fabulous, only a block from St Mark’s Square, close to shops and restaurants, and boat transportation to/from airport and train station. Room was very comfortable and well appointed. Nice view of the bell towers. Great shower and water pressure and a sufficient air conditioner that was most welcome on very hot days/nights. Very friendly staff.

The only drawback is the room was on the 4th floor (65 very steep steps). Thankful for the receptionist’s assistance at check-in with our luggage.

Our stay at this hotel was absolutely wonderful! The property itself is beautiful and full of the classic charm that makes Venice so amazing. The room was cleaned daily, and the overall service was top-notch. A special mention must go to Giulia – she was simply outstanding! Her local knowledge was invaluable; she not only recommended the must-see sights in each district but also shared hidden gems we would have never discovered on our own. Thanks to her thoughtful guidance and warm hospitality, our experience in Venice was truly unforgettable. Giulia played a huge part in making our stay so special, and we’re incredibly grateful! Highly recommended for anyone looking to explore Venice with insight and comfort.

Nothing - the place was amazing!

Really happily surprised by this hotel ! The location is absolutely prime (can't be more central than that), and my biggest worry (the noise) was quickly dismissed. The rooms are really well insulated, and also you do get woken-up in the morning by the bells of San Marco... I mean come on, it is magical (I can't even list that in the downsides). The one thing for me that set it aside was the service. The staff was absolutely adorable, smiley, helpful, patient... honestly, bravo. The luggage storage was a big plus, especially for a one star hotel, and getting in and out even at odd hours was a breeze... and trust me, with a location like that you will. It is so central we had no problem going back to the hotel during our visits to change, drop a bag, or pick-up an umbrella. This is a major plus for this hotel.

Yes the stairs will be a challenge if you are physically not at your prime, but this is Venice (not many elevator options here) and nothing that two 40 something with carry-ons could not manage. A tad disappointed that the beautiful terrace in the photo is actually private (only available if you book the right room). The beds could be a tad more comfortable (but we never found a single comfortable bed in the 5 times we came to Venice, so that might be a local thing). All in in all, nothing that can balance the massive plus of the location, staff and overall decency of the hotel, especially at that price.

Location was excellent! Room is bare minimum just for sleeping. Bed was surprisingly comfortable. Close to the church, many restaurants and shops. Excellent customer service from start to finish. Staff is amazing! They assisted with booking our transportation from airport to hotel, provided information on ferries. Thank you so much 💗

The 3 narrow flight of stairs. It was difficult climbing those stairs after a as long day of exploring. If you have any medical or mobility issues I would not recommend it.

We had 4 nights stay in this Hotel I am extremely pleased with everything. The location was perfect, really close to St Marks Square. offering both convenience and a picturesque view. The room was , clean and well-equipped, making my stay comfortable and relaxing. I especially liked that the room was cleaned daily. The stairs, a bit steep, but were not a problem for us, added a charming touch to the overall ambiance of the place. Overall, it was a great experience and I couldn't have asked for anything more."

The hotel location is unbeatable, surrounded by nice restaurants and cafes and literally a 5-min walk away from the St Marco plaza and all the exotic beauties that come with it [I recommend traveling lightly for the sake of cobblestone alleys and bridges and the many stairs in the hotel]. The room and bathroom were extremely clean and the bed was comfortable, and you could find lovely delicacies and a guidebook of Venice in the room. More importantly, Deborah and Elvis went out of their ways to recommend places and routes to visit for a day of sightseeing and for telling me about a direct ferry to the airport that did not show up on Google maps!

First and the most important thing was the friendliness of the staff. I'd come back only because of the manager who welcomed us in. Unfortunately I haven't asked his name. Then the location. If you want to walk around Venice - it's perfect. Although that same host told me that Venice actually doesn't have a center, for tourists, I think, the center is the Doge's Palace. And this hotel is right next to it.

The rooms are quite small but I'm not complaining. It's a 1-star hotel, you don't expect much anyway. And as I've already said the people who work there are just fantastic and you feel really welcome and it's all that matters for me.

Great location to get to the main sites in Venice. Staff was very friendly and helpful when we checked in, had maps and coupons for a few local restaurants. The room was very small but that's to be expected with the central location in Venice. It was very clean and just what we needed so we could be out and about in the city.

It is right by a main street so can get a bit noisy at night, but we were there for New Year's Eve so that's to be expected. The windows do a pretty good job of blocking out light/noise.
