Fantastic location - overlooking a canal - the canal which leads up to the Bridge of Sighs. A couple of minutes walk from St. Marks Square. We loved hanging out of the windows and watching the gondolas ride by. (We were on the top floor - so looked down on them). It really felt like we were immersed in the city. Room was nicer than in photos. Had everything we needed. Old building with rickety wooden windows and shutters. Room has been modernised and was clean and comfortable. Only a few minutes walk from Despar supermarket. I’m so glad we stayed here - exactly the experience I was hoping for in Venice (on a budget!). We loved walking around late at night when all the day-trippers and your groups had left.
Check in was like a treasure trail. We had to find the main hotel - enter with a code and then walk up a couple of floors and find a table with our coloured room key - and then find our apartment in another building a street away. Instructions were sent by WhatsApp. We found it all good fun and an adventure. (We only had small overnight bags). Room was very noisy in the mornings - all the motorboats coming by as the city wakes up in the morning - but again part of the experience! We couldn’t get the WiFi to walk - but no problem, as we were able to use the Hotel Columbia’s (across the canal) WiFi!

We stayed in an apartment located just a few hundred meters from St. Mark’s Square and the Doge’s Palace — truly a perfect location for anyone wanting to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of Venice! The apartment offers a lovely view of the canal, which made morning coffee and evening relaxation especially charming. All the main attractions are within walking distance, yet the neighborhood remains surprisingly quiet despite being so close to the tourist center — a real bonus after a day of sightseeing. The apartment itself was clean, cozy, and well-equipped — everything needed for a comfortable stay was provided. We especially loved the authentic Venetian interior details that gave the space a unique charm. The kitchen was fully stocked, which was perfect for those who prefer to cook their own meals

This property was easy to find by following the instructions from the wonderful host. They were very accommodating as well as having fast and pleasant responses. Anzolo Palace is in a great location, around 5/10 minutes to get to Doge’s Palace and St Mark’s Square. Saint Lucia’s station is around a 30 minute walk away however using the water bus services it can take 10/20 minutes as these buses are tap on and tap off making it easy to use. Again I’d like to compliment the host who gave us a free room upgrade to a Deluxe room instead of Standard. Along with this they allowed us to check in early as we arrived before check in time. Everything was efficient and easily accessible - I would recommend Anzolo Palace to anyone staying in Venice, me and my friend had the best time here. Thank you so much!

I was quite hesitant at first to book this place because of the negative review that I read from this site however I am not a person who complains if the fault is understandable. Upon booking, the owner, sent me an email right away giving the details of the booking and that she will contact me a day before the booking which she did. Sent photos of the clear instructions on how to self check. The photos did not give justice to the place. I stayed with my husband and daughter and we all agree that it was amazing. The room was clean, spacious, 2 big beds, kitchen with utensils, bathroom with toiletries, lots of towels, dining table , fridge . No TV , but I found a TV set in the stock room but I did not bother asking as we dont have time to watch anyway since we need to get the most of the time exploring the area. The location was brilliant , very close to all the shops, restaurants and Rialto bridge.
I hope that the heater will be better as the room even with the heater on , was really cold especially at night. I have to close the first windows (the metal one ) to lessen the noise from the boats that play very loud music until before 12 midnight and it kept us all awake in the middle of our sleep aside from the noise from the music/ singing from the bar accross the room. This is not a fault of the place, its the location. There was no iron but I did not bother to ask or call for this anyway.

It was perfectly located in the heart of Venice, walking distance to San Marco square and plenty of beautiful canals, cafes and restaurants around. Staff was amazingly helpful! They allowed us to leave our luggage at their place a day before check in while we did a day trip to Padova. They were also very kind to give us more time to check out. Communication with Andrea was great at all times. Bed sheets and towels were super clean. Toiletries available which is always helpful.
Feedback for improvement: The rooms could be a bit renovated. The bed at the studio had a bad mattress and springs could be felt on the back. Room in the main building was very noisy, we could hear the water from the upstairs bathrooms-showers every time used, footsteps, doors were heard too. But overall we had a good stay!! Many thanks

NIce location to stay in center ov Venice,. actually few steps from St.Narco square. Clean and confortible accomodation. Not exactly modernly furnished, but the furniture is well-maintained, functional and clean. Enough towels, small kitchen well-equipped including dishwasher and microwave. Easy communication and self-check-in. The owner responds immediately via WhatsApp to any questions. Very satisfied, probably see you next year.-
Some bigger glass could be available for beers and a few more plugs or at least some extension cord available.

The location was ideal - there’s a gondola ride point right outside to the left as you leave the building and it’s a stone throw from St Marks Piazza and 5 mins to Rialto. The bedroom is a good size with sufficient storage space and a small fridge. Air con too (although we didn’t need it). Furniture (desk/bedside tables/bed) was all lovely and grand. Bed was big and comfortable with extra pillows and blankets if needed. Bathroom has a clean toilet/sink and a decent shower. There was also a hairdryer in there. Plenty of towels available too. There’s also tea and coffee (Nespresso) facilities in the room. We arrived around 8-9pm and the self check in instructions were easy to follow with no issues. Decent wifi connection, but signal for phone was strong too so no issues with either connection. The entrance to the building is very authentic and very clean! Everything was done through WhatsApp so we had a contact (Andrea) who was on hand if we needed anything (we didn’t). We checked out and were offered the convenience of leaving our luggage in another room (which is the main office). We did this and collected later on in the evening before our journey to the airport. A tip for getting there - we planned to get the water taxi from the airport to St Marks, however it was quicker to get off at F.Te Nove and walk the 15 min journey across to Anzolo Palace - as well as being faster (as the boat has several stops and goes around the ‘island’), it meant we could also take in the sights a little more - it was easy as we only had rucksacks. We did the same going back to the airport.
If I had to be picky… My only minor niggle was that there was only two coffee pods for a two night stay. Not a deal breaker and plenty of coffee shops around!

Perfect location! It is right where anyone would want to be - 7 min. Walk to St. Marks, 20 min. to the Durodoro area. By vaporetto it is convenient to anything you would want to see. A true queen sized bed! Mini-fridge that works well. It is a cosy place :-) Andrea went above and beyond when the Wi-Fi stopped having internet connectivity. She was VERY responsive and sent login info. for a hotspot that allowed us to finish our flight confirmations. It is obvious that she wants her guests to enjoy their stay! I would definitely recommend!
The bed was slightly uncomfortable for us. That is such an individual thing, so take it as you will. There is only a view is of the wall of the building 8’ away (unless you lean out the window and look towards the canal nearby.

Our stay in this petite and cozy studio apartment was truly delightful. The space, though small, is ingeniously laid out, featuring a convenient kitchenette complete with a dishwasher, providing the perfect balance of function in a compact area. The living section boasts a fold-out couch bed, paired with a small TV, which honestly remained untouched due to the enthralling and serene views out of the window. The vista of the Venetian canal intersection below is a captivating tableau of daily life and during our stay, listening to the soft chatter of passing tourists added to the ambiance of being in the midst of the vibrant Carnival season. The clever use of a bookshelf/wardrobe unit as a separator allowed for a sense of division in the studio, carving out a private bedroom space that was simple but comfortable. In conclusion, the studio is a gem for those looking to immerse themselves in the heart of Venice while enjoying the comforts of a home away from home. Despite its quirks, it exudes charm and simplicity, much like the city itself. We would recommend this studio to anyone seeking an authentic Venetian experience.
In keeping with the apartment's vintage appeal, the furniture and appliances show their age with a certain old-world charm. Nonetheless, they worked as intended, ensuring our stay lacked nothing in the way of basic necessities. The foot traffic below did pick up at times, lending a lively atmosphere, but it was never a discomfort—it rather served as a reminder of the city's historic charm, especially during such festive times. A few minor suggestions for future guests' convenience: A small stock of essential kitchen supplies such as spices, cooking oil, dish soap, and specifically coffee for the beloved Moka espresso maker, would be a thoughtful touch. These small additions would enhance the overall experience, providing an even more homely feel to this Venetian retreat.

We booked 1 room though there are apartments available. The location was great, about 30 minutes walking from the train station but otherwise centrally located to anything you may want to do in Venice. The room had everything we needed and included coffee/tea which was a lovely surprise. Andrea was super helpful, she sent self check-in instructions ahead which was great since our train was delayed until quite late.
The bed was very firm, but we still slept well on them.
