IGNORE NEGATIVE REVIEWS! We have just left this property after a 2 night stay, this hotel is great. If you're just wanting a basic hotel with a fabulous location then look no further. This is a cheap 3 star hotel. You get what you pay for! £35 a night we had a good experience. Check in is opposite at hotel pandana. Check in quick and easy. Hotel is key coded, code given at check in. We had room 105. NO BED BUGS! Room was clean, smelt lovely and large enough, the bathroom was clean and tidy no stray pubes anywhere. It is not the most up to date hotel but is beautiful in its own way, furniture was unique and quirky. Fridge within room holds 2litre bottle or wine bottle ;) Bed was very firm and comfortable, sheet clean and warm. Window opened to allow fresh air in. Location is incredible 30 sec walk to San Marco square 8 mins walk to Railto bridge. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast was okay, exactly as described cerals and pastry's available try the banana yogurt is lush. I would advise ear plugs as the room was a little noisy due to location, people walking past etc but it's to be expected, you can also hear the clock tower chiming from hotel. The ear plugs sorted that tho.

No English tea available only lemon tea.

Fantastic location, just behind Piazza S. Marco, very convenient to walk in the area and to reach without too much effort the main Art Biennale's locations (Giardini and Arsenale). The room was comfortable and bright; wi-fi was good. I had a great deal for the price!

Breakfast was the only disappointing aspect. First of all, it didn't have any espresso or cappuccino done at the moment (like in any Italian cafe) but a machine that is not even comparable to something decent...There was no fresh fruit or not much choice. Thankfully though, there are plenty of cafes all around, so I was able to get a good cappuccino elsewhere.

Location was great. The room was decorated nicely. Breakfast was good. And there was an elevator.

Smelled a bit musty when we arrived. Had to air out the room and it was fine. Also a bit noisy with the windows open at night or early morning from people walking by and shops opening or carts rolling past. Had to decide between keeping the windows open and dealing with the noise or sleeping hot with the windows closed.

The location is splendid. Quiet room. Always well tidied etc by staff. Plenty of fresh towels and it seemed fresh bed linen every day.

The shower does wet the entire tiny bathroom but at least it was easy to operate and always hot.

The hotel had everything I needed for my stay. The location is very central and easy to get around. The staff, especially the man at reception, are incredibly friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean. The breakfast was good. The lobby area had tables and chairs which was a nice, quiet place for takeaway lunches. The room had good air conditioning. Even though it is such a central location I did not notice outside noises from inside my room.

The hotel is managed by the man at the reception of the hotel opposite which I was not aware of until I arrived and found the hotel reception locked and empty. He did a great job of managing both hotels. The one problem I found was that someone had entered the wrong door code too many times, so I was locked out of the hotel building for 5 minutes.

For a one night stay and mostly for a home base, this was perfect! In the end, I wasn't placed in a room in hotel Diana, but hotel panda across the alley. I didn't realize they were tied together so I was waiting for someone at reception to take my bags because I arrived early and check -in is 2pm. I had some snacks and after 30min left a note with my luggage. It was another guest who came to check in who let me know that some reviews indicated this. It was fine because a little rest worked out, but this is the reason I couldn't give this a full excellent experience. The location is absolutely perfect. I couldn't have been much closer to the main attraction in Piazza San Marco and the palace. It was clean. It has AC. The facilities are modest and the fixtures are old, but excellent value for the location. It also serves a breakfast, which I haven't tried yet. But the staff, once I found them, were wonderful. I'd take your passport with you though when you leave your luggage. My luggage was exactly where I left it, but it was not in a secured room but in the lobby for the day.

Very good location. It is by S. Marco 's square and it makes very convenient the touristic promenades. But beware, in case of high water, remember that S. Marco is one of the lowest areas in the city. My room had a beautiful terrace, though; hadn't we had rain, it would have been great. The general decoration was very beautiful: classy and elegant at a time.

I did not like: the bed: composed by two mini- matresses, very old, very soft, no resistance to the body at all. Furthermore, the separation between both was more and more evident during the night. To reach the room there was lift to the 3rd floor and then a very high-slope spiral stair. I had no problem with it, but this is not for everyone.

The location is excellent, just near San Marco. So you can enjoy Venice till late at night and then quickly return back. The room is small, but very cute , stylized in Venetian baroque. The room and bathroom were clear. Check in was in the hotel in front of our hotel. We weren’t informed about that. It’s better for the hotel to note that in the confirmation. The breakfast is also served in the hotel in front. It was not lavish, but fresh and enough for a quick meal. So I can recommend it for a short stay.

The absence of information about check-in in other hotel. The sewage is old , but this problem is everywhere in old houses.

Location is quite awsome, is really close at hand, however it's complicated to find out the certain place considering the labitynth of buildings:) Anyway it's worthy of it's price

location, very central, amazing for all the main attractions. Hotel was quiet, part of two with the other opposite. the opposite hotel looked constantly busy as check in was there and breakfast, but our hotel was so quiet, it was great.

Dated, could do with a bit of freshening up.
