Overall, the stay was comfortable, and the atmosphere was pleasant. However, I was disappointed with the value for money — the price seemed too high for the level of service and amenities provided. The breakfast was underwhelming: limited selection, and eggs had to be ordered separately for an extra charge, which felt unnecessary. The dinner at the hotel restaurant was also mediocre — nothing special in terms of taste or presentation. There seemed to be a lot of new staff who weren’t fully trained, which led to some delays and confusion. Still, everyone was very friendly and polite. During check-in, there was only one person at reception who spent about 10 minutes explaining something to other guests while we waited, which wasn’t the best first impression.

Beautiful unspoilt Venetian building. Fabulous common hallways on each floor with lots of natural light. Lovely courtyard garden for hotel guests with possibility to take breakfast or a drink there. Bedroom decorated and furnished in Venetian style in keeping with the architecture and spotlessly clean. Easily reached by water taxi straight to the door or fast vaporetto from platform B at Pizzale Romana to Zattere. Also very close to Accademia bridge and Grand Canal vaporetto stop. There was an interesting selection of food for breakfast with very helpful pleasant waiters. In fact all of the hotel staff that we met were very professional and helpful.

There was taped music in the garden from early morning until late evening which seemed unnecessary in such a beautiful setting especially at breakfast. It woukd have been nicer to hear the birds and church bells. There was a bit of noise in our room facing the canal from the Cicchetti bars beside the canal but this didn't seem to be a problem when we visited in March as they closed about 21.30.

The hotel (palazzo) was amazing! Our room was a gorgeous chocolate brown- tastefully done. The modern conveniences are there, worked around the original elegant theme. There IS an elevator (a big deal in Europe). Breakfast offers a wide selection of goodies-eggs, meats, cheeses, breads, grains, yogurts, fruit, vegetables, juices & coffees. It’s advisable to add on the breakfast packaged as I didn’t see too much in the way of breakfast during my walks. The staff was very helpful in finding me a hairdresser around town - I had a photoshoot but didn’t take my hair tools with me. The staff also called a water taxi for us when we left. The room was spectacular, staff very friendly, nice quiet part of Venice, great Access to Transport either water taxis or water buses. Beautiful interiors, very comfortable temperature even in 34° plus. Very nice toiletries provided. Iron provided on request available for full stay. We arrived at the hotel at 1am and check in was very welcoming and quick.

View could be better from the room, but spent most of the time enjoying Venice too much to notice. Breakfast selection was good but catered more for those of a sweet tooth.

We stayed at Nani Mocenigo Palace in early June, and we couldn’t have wished for a better experience. From start to finish, everything was absolutely wonderful. Even before our arrival, the communication with the reception team was smooth and kind. When we finally arrived, we were warmly welcomed with a drink and snacks, and received a short but super helpful introduction to Venice with a map—such a nice touch after a day of travel. Our room was beautiful: spotlessly clean, cozy, and full of charm. I had ordered prosecco and flowers in advance, and everything was perfectly arranged when we walked in—it really made the start of our stay feel special. The hotel has a lovely little garden, a quiet oasis where we enjoyed our drinks and some peaceful moments away from the crowds. Breakfast was delightful every morning, with a nice selection served in an elegant setting. The atmosphere throughout the hotel is elegant and peaceful, but never stiff. Special thanks to Maximiliano and Gaia, who were incredibly friendly and helpful—always available when we needed something, but never intrusive. The entire team offered service that was both attentive and discreet, which we truly appreciated. If you’re looking for a hotel in Venice that combines beauty, comfort, excellent service, and a sense of calm right in the heart of the city—this is the place. We have stayed before and love this hotel. The location is perfect, the staff welcoming, professional and extremely warm. The hotel is a genuine old Venetian palace and much of its character remains. Rooms are spacious, full of character and very well equipped. A delicious breakfast is served in delightful, intimate surroundings by charming staff who could not be more helpful. The hotel location is in easy walking distance of excellent restaurants, one of the best cicchetti bar in Venice is almost next door, two Vaporetto stops - Academia and Zattere are three minutes walk away and will take you anywhere , and a host of cultural delights.

If we have a complaint it is that we could not get the heating under control. Every time we turned it down it reverted to the previous setting! A minor irritation which we did not bother to mention. The solution was to open windows despite it being the end of January!!

The hotel was beautiful, fantastic location with easy walking distance to most things we needed, very clean and welcoming, the staff super friendly and helpful. Very quiet location. The bathroom was brilliant and spacious and the shower nice and powerful, The only thing that let the stay down was the size of the bedroom, even though we had ordered a Supreme room, the bedroom space was still very tight,

The size of the bedroom was still very small in spite of us having a supreme room so there were 2 other room choices that would have been even smaller!

It is hard to narrow it down to one or two things. Firstly, we must say the staff were incredible. From the point of check in, to the team at the bar. (Max, Luca and Andrea). Phenomenal service every day. I was genuinely impressed at how smooth their operation was, and how dedicated to the guests they were. I must also mention the incredible head chef who dedicated himself to our dietary preferences and made delicious meals. I loved this hotel and will always come back.

The hotel was a beautiful building, and the renovation of it was just stunning. We were very fortunate to have been upgraded to a junior suite; everything about it just dripped Venice! From the beautiful chandelier from the Murano glass factory to the exquisite fabric wallpaper, it all just breathed opulance which, after all, is what Venice is about!

If I had to find something on the not-great side, it would be that the Breakfast eating area was pretty small and if more than a couple of groups, you would almost be on top of each other. However, our visit was in February at 2 degrees so we didn't venture out into the lovely garden, which is set up for breakfast in warmer temperatures. One other point which sounds as if I am being pedantic, but with everything else being so perfect, the toilet paper was very cheap and not thick and luxurious!
