Breakfast is amazing and rooms are very comfortable. I have been here before and they have a standard of quality. The location is amazing.

Some rooms are only accessible by stairs. But this is also due to the old structure.

Good location for shops, market and key attractions, breakfast was varied with a mixture of foods, staff friendly and helpful room size was good slippers along with toiletries provided. Not far from amphitheater with lots of restaurants dotted around. Make sure you take lots of money as many great things to buy. Cab journey from Verona airport costs about €35 to hotel.

Beautifully appointed classic hotel. Our room was very comfortable, overlooking an interval court square. Comfortable bathroom and plenty of storage and room for luggage. The hotel also has great pockets for quiet times to read, etc with particularly great service staff at breakfast. Also a great gym which was empty for our entire stay. I must however mention the youngest guest we came across was past retirement age. It wasn’t an issue for us but worth mentioning. As a young couple just turned 40 we were getting looks from other guests. We had a laugh about it daily. Not sure why this hotel attracted a senior crowd, perhaps the classic interiors and the nightly opera at the Arena near by. Overall we enjoyed our stay very much.

The pillows were large, heavy memory foam that wouldn’t be our first choice, otherwise great.

Nothing at all

The hotel is intimate and the decor in keeping with the historicity of the building. I stayed in a Single Superior room #108 which led into the inner courtyard. The room was delightful with a small double bed and very spacious. I especially appreciated the evening turn-down service and complimentary drinks in the afternoons. The hotel is an easy 4-minute level walk to the Arena and is situated near many sites. The staff are amazing, a real treasure. They were discreet and professional from Reception, to the bar, breakfast service and chambermaids/housekeeping. I enjoyed my stay so much that we are planning to return to The Accademia as a family. The room furnishings, cleanliness and high service levels and attention to details (superior toiletries, fluffy towels, slippers, wireless charging) made this a real luxury offering and I would say closer to a 5-star hotel.

There was nothing to dislike. I would recommend that staff give the guests a 3-minute introduction upon check in. This would be useful to know breakfast times, afternoon aperitif time and other services such as Tour Booking Desk times.

The desk staff were extremely polite and kind. I arrived near lunchtime and asked if there were a good restaurant nearby. The man behind the counter took me outside the hotel and walked me a block and a half to one good restaurant, but it was completely full, so he walked another three blocks with me to show me a parkside restaurant where I enjoyed a delicious leisurely lunch. Everyone at the hotel was so kind, and the facility was very historic and refined. The breakfast buffet was unbelievably fantastic. There were all sorts of delicacies, various types of bread and many different kinds of cheese, scrambled eggs and fabulous crispy bacon, multiple kinds of fresh fruit, including pineapple, which is always a treat. Multiple kinds of jams and local honey as well as tortes and other bakery delights. I was immediately served a frothy hot cappuccino. I was never made to feel uncomfortable as a solo traveler, and the entire hotel experience was very gracious.

I didn’t mind so much personally, but there were several sets of 3 to 5 stairs as we traversed the long hallway to my room. I think that there are rooms there where there are no steps required, but be sure to specify if you have any kind of disability.

Stunning building in the heart of Old Verona. Lovely welcome and friendly staff, very good breakfast with a wide choice and excellent coffee. The coffee in the room was excellent too. Our room looked out onto the street, when the windows were open there was a buzz from everything going on below, yet you wouldn’t know it was out there once the windows were closed! Rooms were well sound-proofed internally too. Comfy bed, lovely bedding, superb shower, lots of charging points. To find prosecco amongst the welcome drinks was nice and the roof terrace is worth hunting for.

Given the standard of everything mentioned, it was a shame that the coffee cups in the room were melamine and paper cups rather than glass (although we did find glasses in the fridge!), and the slippers felt very synthetic.

The location is absolutely perfect – right in the center of Verona, just a few steps away from major landmarks such as Juliet’s famous balcony and the Verona Arena. Everything is easily accessible on foot, making it the ideal base for exploring the city. The rooms are elegantly furnished, very clean, and spacious, with comfortable beds ensuring a perfect rest. The staff is extremely friendly, professional, and helpful, always ready to assist and ensure that our stay was as pleasant as possible. Breakfast was abundant and delicious, offering a variety of local specialties that set us up wonderfully for the day. We also highly appreciated the peaceful atmosphere of the hotel, even though it’s located in the bustling city center. Overall, this hotel exceeded all our expectations. I highly recommend it to anyone planning a visit to Verona – Hotel Accademia is the perfect place for a luxurious and comfortable stay! (I even think I got a better room through Booking than the one I paid for🙂)

Location was brilliant! Very luxurious, spacious rooms and immaculate bathroom. I liked that it had updated charger ports (with usb and wireless charging). Front desk were very helpful as well with all of our questions.
