The motel is next to a CVS, has two restaurants across the street, and even a bowling alley. The traffic in the area was pretty low. A few minutes away there’s a lot more restaurants and stores. About 10 minutes away is downtown that has more stuff to do.Best thing is they didn’t charge a room deposit which most places do. Rooms are clean.

There’s very limited parking. If you get in late, there’s a possibility you might not have a spot to park in on the property. Theoretically you could park in the CVS parking lot next door, but I wouldn’t trust it. Another thing is the faucet in the bathroom sprayed water all over the place if you turned it halfway on.

We ate at Dennys across the street, we were able to simply walk there. CVS right next door and the beach a short simple drive.

We always encounter other people that stay at motel 6 that arent as quiet as we are but that's nothing on the motel. We like the North Fremont street motel 6. Our last trip on the 4th of July 2024 some people were obnoxiously loud and I complained and the young lady in the office got right onto them people and got them to be quieter.

Easy drive to downtown. Loved the crepes restaurant nearby. Having a fridge and microwave in our room was helpful for us to save money by having a simple breakfast in our room. Parking was very convenient to our room. Used the pool area a bit just for the lounge chairs.

We had two adults and two teens in a two double bed room, so it was tight and we barely had room for our luggage, but it was fine for a couple nights. Staff would not store luggage for us on check out day since there was no good space for it. Our key kept not working but staff always replaced it immediately.

My wife and I loved the place and the desk clerk. Bookings.com didn't show up on the motel 6. The lady at the desk called Bookings and got the runaround. She went ahead and booked us in through their own system and I paid motel 6 directly. She said she would continue to contact Bookings and make sure they didn't charge my card. She kept her word and came to our room with a Bookings representative on her cell phone because they needed to talk to me. I was assured by Bookings my card would not be charged because of their computer glitch. I was charged anyway. So I paid twice for a single room for one night.

I have never used Bookings since that day even though my wife and I have been on the road for over 2 months sightseeing since our retirement. Bookings only refunded the six dollars for whatever but NOT the cost of the room. I will never recommend Bookings to anyone.

I like the fact that when I wanted to have a cigarette they did not complain the staff is really nice always asking if I need service .They have been good to me so far...room 107!!!!!

The only thing that bothered me was that a lot of people smoke here but they just throw their cigarettes on the ground. So I pick them all up while I'm here

I liked how inexpensive it was and how it was easy to get to everywhere we wanted

I didn’t like how hard the bed felt pretty uncomfortable and also when we got there sheets were dirty you can tell they were not washed and just re done from previous visit

I really like the location since there were lots of places to eat around and also the rooms were SUPER clean!! Had no issues at all while staying here and the beds were also super comfortable. Would definitely stay here again when coming to Monterey !

The room had been renovated since the last time we stayed there, and it was much improved

We could have done without the circle of drunk people in the parking lot till 1am, but that’s not really the motel’s fault

We are ate at Dennys. Good location in Monterey. We visit several times a year.

Loud family gathering on Wednesday was pissing us off. We were ready to leave but it finally died down. Maintenance crew with their screwguns on the walls during the day was bothersome. Prices are crazy nowadays.

The staff were friendly, efficient the check in process was quick. The room was clean and when we needed help with something in our room we received help almost immediately.

The only negative was being close to the main road and hearing cars.
