Beautiful Ascend hotel, continently located on a golf course. The room was very spacious, beautifully decorated and bed, super comfortable. We LOVED the $5 breakfast!!! Well worth it…the bacon alone😁 Scott was very warm and welcoming, and honestly, the entire staff was impressive. Having pet-friendly rooms made this our choice for staying, but we love it so much we will definitely be back!!! FYI this hotel is super conveniently located near Cooper’s Rock state park…next time we want to enjoy the park for a few days we will definitely stay here!!

Great location. Beautiful scenery nearby. Cooper’s Rock just the next exit up which was absolutely stunning. Loved having a restaurant/bar with live music right next door. Super convenient and food was excellent. Room was clean and comfortable. Small balcony to enjoy some fresh air with a view of part of the golf course. Breakfast in the morning for only $5, can’t be beat! Will definitely stay again on our next visit to the area.

It was a beautiful room, honestly was blown away! The room was very clean, beautiful and the beds are extremely comfortable! The breakfast options were above board and better quality than your average continental breakfast options so the $5 fee was certainly acceptable. So impressed that we booked again for our anniversary!

Staff were very helpful and the breakfast was delicious. Only stayed over night as we were traveling to Florida. But the room was perfect.

The restaurant / bar next door can get loud but that's patrons not the bar or hotel's fault. Ask to stay up higher or opposite of the bar. Good food and fun for the kids though.

I would have thought for the price of the room, it would have included the$5.00 breakfast. Breakfast was good and had a nice variety.

We liked the cleanliness and comfort of the room and public areas. The entire staff was also friendly and helpful. Not so far from the hotel, there are some options for dining. We liked the modern design of the room with a balcony. I missed breakfast, but my partner enjoyed some fresh cut fruit and good coffee! I appreciate the fact that the hotel offered fresh cut fruit instead of non-nutricious canned food.

The location was great. The room layout was nicely done with the desk/microwave & coffee alcove. The beds were very comfortable. There was a phone be each elevator on every floor.

Water kept backing up in sink & shower drains. Maintenance came to clear and drains were slow. Water pressure in some friends rooms was low. breakfast until 9:30am was good deal for $5; however, when some guest arrived and paid few minutes before 9:30am, the food was immediately put away and they were not able to complete their selection for breakfast. It would be nice if sign was placed at desk that informs guest of no room cleaning during stay. The entry had a beautiful stone gas fireplace that had been broken since May 2022. No one tending the Bar, which was a loss for the establishment.

We stayed here for the WVU game. Good location-about 15 min to stadium. Price was high for Morgantown, WV but I'm hearing most football weekends are high. Very clean and friendly staff. Complimentary coffee/tea/hot chocolate in the lobby 24/7. Would stay here again for sure.

It was one night stay. We came late eve and leaved early morning. The hotel is very clean - indeed the first thing you expect and notice. Personnel at reception desk is smily and polite - not much they can do else. Breakfast was for additional charge $5. Typical continental and could be included in price. Area seems to be mixed commercial/residential in park like setting (apparently with golf course nearby). We did not have time to explore it. We dined at tavern next to Cheat Lake and 4-5 min drive from hotel. Looked like nice place during warmer time for outside seating. Hotel is close to major roads. We wanted to see Cooper's Rocks and it took us 15 min to get there.
