Great location - we walked just a couple blocks to a local coffee shop for breakfast, and there was also a cool shop nearby. The Morgan Hotel is in a classy old building with tile floors for the bathroom, a big king-size room with plenty of space, sturdy furniture, comfy bed. Staff was friendly. Workout room in the basement was fine.

The pillows were too thick, and the shampoo/soap dispensers in the shower didn't pump right. There was no coffeemaker in the room, which would have been OK, but the coffee in the lobby ran out of to-go cups and only had flavored creamer. So - just little things!

The lobby and bar were very well appointed! There are beautiful chandeliers there. The room was nice especially the bathroom. Wonderful shower! The bed and pillows were really comfortable.

The air conditioning is built out from the wall- kind of an eyesore. The room could use a piece of art. But much more standout was that the bar waitress was practically in a huff and called last call at 9.30 pm. She said it so rudely. She behaved like we were a nuisance. It was kind of shocking and practically ruined our experience of the property. The front desk staff also were a bit short of what one would expect of such a place and price point.

The location to campus is very good, and the hotel has great style being a historic property. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and the valet parking was easy and very efficient.

I would have rated the property higher were it not for the extremely loud window air conditioner that made for less than restful nights of sleep for both me and my husband. Another thing that would be nice is to have a coffee maker in the room. We’ve come to expect that on our travels and it’s odd to find a hotel that doesn’t offer that now.

Beautifully restored hotel in the heart of town.

They really need to work out a couple of things, Like address the parking issue. Should not have to pay for valet or lot parking when spending that much money on the hotel. And come on $7 for a bottle of water? Need to get their website and the booking agencies in sync, a few discrepancies. Otherwise a great stay!

We stayed for a family wedding. The hotel was beautiful and the food was amazing!! The room was very nice and spacious loved the shower!!

The valet service was the only thing that could use a little improvement. The staff was friendly and great but there was only one person so it took some time to have them take our car and bring it back to us

the property was such a cool vibe and had beautiful decor and architecture throughout. we loved the location as it was just a walk away from some amazing eats. the staff was so friendly and accommodating.

though beautifully decorated, the walls and windows weren’t insulated well. we heard sirens every night and they were very loud. our last night there was a drunken brawl outside in the alley and woke us up a deep sleep. the parking isn’t ideal. you have to pay and is across the street. the parking monitors are also seriously picky so I was terrified we would get booted. it was also a bummer there was no continental breakfast offered.

Awesome vintage details. Beautiful hotel in every way. Nice large bathrooms. Big comfy beds. A real gem for the money. I would have expected the room rate to be much more.

The room was only cleaned once in 5 days so that is my only criticism.

The room was a quant mix of modern and classic decorations/items. The fridge and clock radio were replica's of the 50's / 60's and super cute. The chaise lounge would be perfect for reading, unfortunately I forgot a book. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and the black out curtains a dream come true. The bathroom was spacious and pretty, the tub would be a bath takers dream. I really liked the tile floor it was very pretty. The towels were big and soft, and definitely not your run of the mill hotel towels we all expect. The complimentary toiletry items in the bathroom were good quality and packaged in recycled cardboard. There was even an old timey umbrella, incase the guest forgot one . We would definitely stay there again if we make another trip to Morgantown.

One negative thing about this hotel is the lack of visible parking. When we pulled up, we both looked at each and asked where do we park. Once we went in and registered we were informed about the parking lot and valet parking choice. The price was reasonable at $16 for Valet, and $12 for the parking lot. We chose valet since my girlfriend has mobility issues. The only other that needs improvement is the lack of free breakfast. I'm sure if offered that would be appreciated by all their guests.

The Morgan location is key to visiting our son attending WVU. The facility is much more interesting than the traditional commercial chain hotels located nearby.

Can be a bit loud at night due to the location.

On High Street ~ close to restaurants; comfortable beds, nice bathrooms for handicapped and nice amenities

The Aircond is so loud; we had parked for free in February 2022 and now we had to valet park our car for $18 a day + tips; there were croissants and pastries for breakfast in 2022, and now only coffee and tea…
