Spacious room, lobby ambiance

You get charged a city cap 30usd per day if you book through a third party platform. This wasn't clearly advertised and requires improvements.

I loved the location! Absolutely perfect to experience downtown without renting a car. The property itself is BEAUTIFUL. I saw complaints about the shower. The water does come out BUT they give you runner towels specifically to be place by the shower to help with that. Confirming there is no vent in the bathroom BUT that gives you a reason to venture to the lobby (that’s what I did) which is stunning. We didn’t dine at the restaurant but the bar, Mercy Me I believe, drinks were great

There isn’t anything I didn’t like about the property. I do, however, wish the receptionist on duty would have called up to my room for my doordash order or even dropped it at my door instead of “throwing it away”.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel! The room was stylish, clean, and cozy. I especially appreciated the tea and coffee provided in the room — a small touch that made a big difference. The location was perfect, with all the main attractions just a short walk away. One of the biggest pluses for me was that the hotel is pet-friendly — we were traveling with our cat, and everything went smoothly. The staff was very friendly and welcoming.

The only downside was the parking — it was quite expensive at $65 per night. However, there is a public parking lot just a 7-minute walk from the hotel called Lot 769 – Square 54, which costs $12 per 24 hours (from 5:00 AM to 5:00 AM the next day). You’ll likely end up paying for two days ($24), but it’s still much more affordable than the hotel parking.

The Staff were great especially Marcell & Jessie, Being a former DC resident, the location is easy to get to and convenient to get around in the city. I was there on my sorority Reunion at GWU but also wanted to visit my alma mater Georgetown and I was pleasantly surprised. I also loved the bar/lounge/lobby area and the evening vibes with music. Room Service was reasonable and Chaufa (Peruvian style fried rice was delicious) Due to my itinerary, I didn't get to spend as much time there but will definitely be on the list when I return for leisure. The room was well appointed and had all the necessities.

The parking (valet only) and pricing of $ 61.00 a day. There were other public parking facilities within walking distance for half the cost.

I like most of everything I love there was a restaurant or a couple of restaurants attached also like that, they offered you vintage record player for your staying, even though I didn’t take one scream

I liked everything about the room except for the shower I just didn’t understand why there wasn’t any type of door and it caused issues with water draining into the actual bathroom part

The location is absolutely perfect. Close to everything and you can walk everywhere. The hotel is super modern, there is a lounge with a beautiful bar and nice cocktails. The staff is very friendly and professional. All of our interactions were positive.

The reason I didn’t give this hotel a ten is die to the water pressure in the shower. I read many reviews about that but I didn’t take it in consideration. But trust me, it’s bad. It really is. The second thing is that I had a couple of shopping bags nicely placed by my suitcase, clearly didn’t look like trash, with receipts inside that I needed to use to get reimbursed. Housekeeping threw they away with the receipts inside. When I spoke to the manager he said they must have assumed it was trash. They are not there to assume. I am renting the room so I needed a safe place to leave my stuff. Very disappointing.

I really enjoyed my stay at Yours Truly DC. The room was thoughtfully designed, with a creative use of space that felt both stylish and comfortable. The bed was large and cozy, and the big TV was a nice touch for relaxing in the evenings. I also appreciated how clean and pleasantly scented the hallways were — a small detail that made a big difference. The hotel’s central location was a major plus, with plenty of restaurants and attractions just a short walk away. Another standout feature was the water station on each floor, offering both still and sparkling water — a very convenient and modern amenity.

My only critique is that the bathroom had a sliding door with no lock, which might be a drawback for some guests seeking more privacy.

Very nice lounge and restaurant area. Always something going on so it’s nice to have as a fall back when not out exploring. Feels like a young vibe which we liked. The hallways and water stations on each floor are very cool. Mirrors, headboards and bathrooms in rooms were cool. I like the safe and fridge combo and all the dressers available to you in the upgraded king room. Great location near a lot of different things and close to White House etc.

The freezing cold concrete floors, and the lifeless walls in the rooms. Also, the “courtyard view” is terrible. Crunchy not soft towels. Bed linens and pillows aren’t good and bed is hard. No vent in room or bathroom at all so any smells linger and so does moisture. The shower stall is silly, gets whole floor soaked. The faucet was loose and flopping around. Valet needs works. QR code didn’t work. Price is too much for lack of service.

There were two breakfast options, one at the hotel itself and another at a shop next to the bar. The area is great, quite central to points of interest and, for me, relatively close to the venue of the event I went to. The room was comfortable, clean and modern. And the bar/restaurant is great, with excellent food options. The hotel surprised me.

I can't think of anything I didn't like. Perhaps the only point for improvement is the access for cars, which is inverted in relation to the road, which makes it difficult for taxis and Uber, but which is not a big problem.

The staff was exceptionally attentive and nice. In our first room the vent and the fridge didn't work so they upgraded us to a bigger one. I could talk to the staff via sms at all times and they were extremely nice and helpful. The decor is beautiful, great atmosphere with music playing all day and even a DJ at night. Beds were super comfortable. The location was great, walking distance to Georgetown, national mall and the subway.

The vent in the shower didn't work and the shower was too strong in the first room. Parking in the hotel is expensive but we found a parking in one of the close buildings for just $20 a day - search for Lafayette.
