You couldn't ask for a more central location. If you like being right in the heart of things, this is the place to stay - and far better located than the more famous (and expensive) Esplanade.

This is not a criticism of the hotel, really, but the building's exterior is truly ghastly, like some architect said "let's go for ultra ugly" and then felt he/she wasn't trying hard enough. But don't let put you off. The rooms are actually very nice.

The hotel turned out to be an excellent venue for daily journeys. It is on the south side of the main square, namely Bana Josipa Jelicica Square. There are two tram stops actually in front of the hotel thus an useful location for tram rides. Also there are good restaurants and shops around the hotel thus again an enjoyable sojourn.

The room, the location, the breakfasts, everything was 1st Class at this hotel and we would recommend to anyone. We would definitely stay here again. Parking whilst off-site was very convenient.

There was absolutely nothing we did not like about this hotel.

The Hotel Dubrovnik is very central. It is close to all attractions and the best restaurants. The room is very clean and beds are so very comfortable. Loved the decor and reception people were lovely too. The breakfast is exceptionally good. There is everything - eggs, sausages, bacon, grilled veg, salad, fresh fruit, different types of bread, sweet pastries, different types of coffee and tea, juices, sparkling water and Prosecco etc and some items like veg and sweet pastries vary daily. Also it’s open from 6:30am till 10:00 am so that’s great. Would definitely come back here.

The location is Excellent, the room is bright, clean and comfortable, the room was prepared early, the breakfast is varied and delicious, The black female receptionist is very professional and friendly (upon check-out), The people working in the restaurant are professional and cooperative, everything was clear with the hotel's messages. We are happy with our stay.

The room lacks some things such as a water boiler, tea, and coffee maker .

The hotel location is superb! Right in the middle of old town and within walking distance to all main attractions as the Cathedral (still under renovation),, St. Mark's church, Dolec Market and more. The transport all near by - trams few meters away and although the taxi can't drop you on the hotel doorstep, the taxi station is like 100 steps away. Many bars and restaurants all close by, and the area is nice to walk around even at night. The hotel itself looks extremely cool from outside and cozy on the inside. I first got the disabled room on the 2nd floor, which was kinda dark and had windows facing the nearby building, so I returned to the reception and luckily was upgraded to a room on a 5th floor, could open the windows and even could see a rooftops of all the area which was super nice. The room was a bit dark, but spacious, comfortable bed, had a tea & coffee making facilities and a bathtub. The breakfast was great! Variety of fruits and vegetables, eggs, breads and other things, although the coffee from coffee machines wasn't good at all. The hotel stuff was really lovely, saw them help other people with explaining the city and were to go, all were nice and extremely polite. Would definitely return again!

The only two things I didn't like: The room was short on power sockets, so I would suggest to have a power strip with you, otherwise you'll have to disconnect the night lamps. And the coffee during breakfast (from all coffee machines) is just awful.

Excellent hotel I have read many complaints from guests and I do not agree. They seem to value places with low investment and "friendly" appearance. This is a normal hotel with polite and efficient service. The best and most central location possible in Zagreb, close to all attractions. Situated on a pedestrian street. The room was large enough, the mattress was firm but not hard, with a safe and good Wi-Fi, and it was quiet. Excellent breakfast with fruit, typical dishes, yogurt, cold cuts, eggs, cheeses and smoked salmon. Great and attentive staff; I asked for extra pillows to support my back and they brought them.

The location is perfect, very central and comfortable, everything is minutes walk away. The main square and very nice strip of restaurants are max 5 minutes walk away. The taxi cannot drop you at the hotel entrance as it is pedestrianised but the drop off is less than a 2 minute walk away around the corner. Breakfast is great and vast. Hotel rooms are good sizes and nice well thought out bathrooms. Bathrobes and slippers included!

Hotel staff were extremely polite and professional but were not extending any extra information on what to do, where to go/eat/visit etc which is always helpful and useful tips are always welcome. We were going to a very annoyingly expensive plaza to eat for the 1st 2 nights and later discovered a lovely, more local and touristy affordable strip on the 3rd and 4th night, 2 minutes from the hotel with great restaurants and food.

The location of the hotel is fantastic, I really couldn't have asked for more. The breakfast was good, particularly the variety and even when it was busy, there was still plenty of tables. The room was a good size and everything worked as expected.

The room was very dark, but it did not impact our stay too much. One thing to note about the breakfast. if you are later to breakfast, I found that the staff did not replenish food that was finished - the example I had was fresh fruit which was not replaced even with 15 minutes left and many people still at breakfast.
