We had a spacious, comfortable, freshly refurbished room with a kitchenette, which we can just recommend for longer stays. Very comfortable bed, good quality linen, well equipped bathroom with fine hygiene products. Thanks to the personnel their helpfulness for providing us with some missing toiletries. Basel Guest Card is offered, which is great! (Free public transportation, on some attractons ticket discount etc.) Overall we were satisfied with the value for money.

How about having a few plates, glasses, cutlery and paper towels ready for the kitchenett? (Available on request)

Is the second time I am visiting the hotel. Generally I am satisfied with the location but surprisingly there were no Vegan-Vegetarian options in the breakfast. Both times I visit I asked in the breakfast for some soya/almond/oat milk but both times they told me there wasn’t. So a note to the management F&B for an addition because in 2024 is kind of surprising you don’t have these options. Otherwise stay employees and receptionists were very polite.

Great room with everything you need to have a comfortable stay. Plenty of food choices at breakfast, kind staff, a bus stop in front of the hotel and a free pass for public transport.

The hotel looks new and is decorated in a modern style. It was clean and tidy. The location is peaceful. In front of the hotel, there is a bus stop that leads to the city center. The breakfast was satisfactory (though there were no cooked eggs, for example). The coffee from the machine was good. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was clean.

It was cold in the hotel and the room. We stayed at the end of November, and it was quite cold. The thermometer in the room showed 21°C and allowed the temperature to be set to 24°C, but it would constantly stay at 21°C, and cold air blew all night, which couldn’t be turned off. This was the case throughout the entire hotel. At the reception, in the staff offices, I noticed they had additional electric heaters, as it seems the hotel’s heating system is insufficient. If you are sensitive to the cold, I wouldn’t recommend staying at this hotel.

I had been staying at this hotel for a couple of weeks. Everything went well. Most of the hotel staffs were service-mind and professional. Only a few staffs were not that good at service. There were 4 people who were the most impressive for me. Two females, one with long hair and another one with short hair wearing blue shirt staff uniform. They first met me during my check in on 31/7/24 and after that they always greet me every time we met. Also, the male bar staff who gave me some good recommendations during my stay and thanks a lot for helping me when I was having issue with the food vending machine. Another big thank to the male staff who run service every well on my check out on 28/8/24. There were a few staffs who didn't treat me well during my stay. One was a female (white shirt) in charge on 25/8/24 night at the check-in counter. She might thought that I wasn't a hotels guest staying there so, she treated me badly. The rests are superb and impressive. If I have a chance to revisit this area, I will definitely stay at this hotel again.

Especially the fact that the staff is polite and deals with every problem closely. The rooms are very clean, comfortable bed, great shower. Towels, bed, everything is clean. The location of the hotel is great, the buses to the center of the city pass through the bus stop right opposite the hotel. There is a market 250 meters away, you can supply what you want from there. And during your stay at the hotel, they give you a Basel Card for free access to public transportation and museums. It has a great breakfast and the bar is great for a good time at night. The hotel has a comfortable and inviting breakfast area with a good selection of quality foods. There were long breakfast hours, no food shortages, and staff members smoothly replaced everything. Also, the hotel has a very inviting, well-arranged dining area near the reception, which combines a nice bar, a cosy restaurant, and a working area with plenty of sockets and big tables. My room was spacious and clean. All staff members were very helpful. The hotel is outside the city centre, but public transportation provides comfortable communication between the hotel, the city centre and the airport.

A perfect place!

This is one of the best hotels to stay at in Basel if you’re looking for a quiet retreat away from city noise, ensuring a good night’s sleep in air-conditioned rooms. The hotel is easily accessible via public transportation from the city center. The breakfast is delicious, served in a spacious dining hall, and there are excellent bar facilities available. The mattresses and pillows are very comfortable, offering great rest. Most of the staff are kind, attentive, and customer-friendly, making for a pleasant stay.

The room is quite small compared to other Holiday Inn hotels, which might not meet expectations for space. The breakfast selection has very limited hot food options, which could be improved. Housekeeping is not available every day, and this was not communicated during check-in, leading to some inconvenience. The bathroom is compact, and the shower cubicle lacks curtains or a door, causing water to spread onto the bathroom floor after a shower. While the room has a smart TV, it does not support YouTube or Netflix connectivity—a surprising omission in 2024 for a hotel of this standard. Although the TV offers a Chromecast option to connect your mobile device, it is unreliable and disconnects after a few minutes, making it frustrating to use.

We were truly impressed by the quality of service at the hotel. From the warm welcome at check-in to the complimentary room upgrade, every detail was thoughtfully taken care of. Our room was very comfortable and included useful amenities such as a sink, a kettle, and a microwave. The breakfast also deserves special praise; it was both delicious and offered a wide variety of options. Additionally, the hotel is conveniently located next to Aldi and Müller stores, which is perfect for those looking to shop for souvenirs or groceries. Getting to the city center was also very easy; buses 38 and 36 provided quick and convenient transportation. The hotel also provided us with a Basel Card, allowing us to use public transport for free during our stay. The friendly and helpful staff made our experience even better. Highly recommended!
