I booked a room the night before my wedding on the 25th of July. I arrived at 3 pm. I dropped off some wedding decorations and checked in. The staff at reception was very helpful and arranged a trolley to help transport my belongings. There was no waiting around. I was taken care of on my arrival. I was given my room card for room 201. The room itself was very spacious and clean, and to my surprise, I had a coffee machine , kettle, and a selection of tea, coffee and milk, and sugar. Including a bag of jelly sweets, which my daughter enjoyed. I did ask for a fan, as there is no air conditioning in the room. And one was bought to my room straight away. I didn't have any complaints regarding noise in the hotel. Everything was nice and quiet. The next morning, I had breakfast. There was a fantastic selection to choose from. And it was delicious. Donna, the wedding coordinator, booked a conference room for me and my girls to get ready in Motivation 1 & 2. It was a very spacious room with air conditioning. The staff at the hotel were absolutely amazing, especially Karen, who looked after us during our reception there. I would highly recommend having your wedding at this hotel. 5 star 🌟 I would like to thank every member of staff who worked on the 26th of July . For everything you did to make my wedding day so perfect. Thank you. 😊

Absolutely fantastic staff 😊 felt relaxed as soon as we stepped into the hotel Faith the receptionist was so helpful and professional , the food was fantastic and freshly prepared and cooked to perfection Gemma, Karen and all the staff were amazing and so helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them I would really recommend the Village Hotel to anyone either with children or not as they are fantastic at looking after families or couples or people on business trips. We will now be using the Village Hotel when ever we visit family again in the midlands 😊

Can’t really complain about anything as we were there 4 days and 3 nights and everything was perfect 👌

Location, cleanliness, staff. Jane was in constant contact responding to all of my pre visit questions. 👌🏾 The club - spa, jacuzzi and sauna were exquisite- and helped make the stay memorable. Front desk were kind enough to change our original club room from the initial one which had windows facing the local primary school.

The fire alarm that went off several times late into the evening, causing us to leave our room a couple of times. That was out of the staffs hands I understood. I was also advised in writing that the club room entitled me to a late 12 midday checkout. But upon returning to the room from the sauna/spa at 11.30am, the room card had been disabled meaning I had to go back down to ask reception to allow us to collect our belongings before our departure.

The room was clean and the beds comfortable. Love the location as it just off the M6 so very handy for travelling about.

It was very hot when we were there and there's no air con. It was very busy and therefore extremely noisy in the bar/restaurant area. Some staff were lovely but others not so much e.g. saying that we would be charged for the pool when it clearly said on our booking that it was included. Stayed here before a few years ago and loved it but we were a bit disappointed this time

Plenty of space in the rooms, the hotel had a spacious bar area and we used the gym which had great equipment in and plenty of space

Issue with the ordering of food at the bar, one part of our order was missed between the till and the kitchen so we had waited 20 minutes after the last plate was given and then asked if it was still in process. They had to reissue the order to the kitchen. They didn’t charge us for the missed order & customer service was good but it was 40 minutes after the initial plate was brought out that a member of our party had waited

The room was good, but rather warm, opening the windows made a small difference, it would have been better to have had a thermostat in the room to adjust to a comfortable level. Breakfast was excellent, Reception staff, Josh, was extremely helpful, being from Wales we very much wanted to watch the six nations match, but the TV in our room would not let us see it, Josh immediately changed our room and we were able to see the game …….. even though we lost 🫣

Nothing other than temperature control.

Staying in a village hotel is always a nice experience, but this time it felt more welcoming than most. I attribute this to the member of staff on front of house on that day, now we have been away and stayed in many places since this visit so may not get the name right, I vaguely remember his name being Kurt, either way it was the night of the England Game, can’t be hard to find out who was on duty. That man needs extra credit, he was a great. One thing to mention, that afternoon we went to the restaurant, 2 what looked to be managers were faffing around trying to get stuff ready for the game, no one was at the restaurant to greet customers, we waited a few minutes and then went elsewhere, you lost £50 to the Beefeater’s around the corner who were ready to take our order. Not going to let that change my review because ‘curt’ was great 👍, but you should know. I get it was about to get busy, but that is dead money for you that you could have had.

Nothing wrong

The hotel staff were amazing, Josh checked us in and was extremely friendly and very helpful as my booking as a little complicated due to a last minute additional room. the hotel itself was very nice, I felt the room did show a little wear but was comfortable and clean, and the bed was nice too being just heh right firmness and having nice big pillows so you could get comfortable quickly. I would consider highly using Village Hotels in the future

One thing I did note, I am neurodiverse and so certain noise levels cause me sensory issues. We used the hotel bar/restaurant for our evening meal. the area had a low ceiling which, as far as I could tell was concrete or at least some form of hard surface. this caused the noise of the other patrons to bounce about making the experience extremely, challenging. It could do with a little sound baffling or something to maybe just pitch that sound down a bit and make it a little less,

All your the facilities were great, the staff were fantastic the cleaning Team with pleasant smiles and helpful the bar staff on Saturday evening fantastic the breakfast staff on Sunday excellent, and lastly the gentleman on reception on Saturday/Sunday was excellent friendly helpful, from myself and my wife a massive thankyou great team.

Me and my partner only booked for one night but then that became 2 nights then 3 nights 🙈that’s how amazing the hotel was It has a bar cinema downstairs and I can honestly say we enjoyed every second it was just so lively and our room was right above the garden area heard some in the evening it would be people laughing singing falling all over the place And being sick 🤦🏻‍♀️ But overall all me and my sexy partner we absolutely loved that hotel and his promised to take me back It’s like a little break from home And amazing staff too ☺️

I don’t think there was anything that I didn’t like at the hotel Apart from my partner not waking up in the morning 🙄
