Can't beat the location...5-6 minute walk from Tenjin Station and 10-12 minute walk to Hakata Station. If walking is not your thing, there is an entrance to the subway system a couple of minutes away that will take you to both stations in no time. Plenty of shopping and quality restaurants close by...great place as a base station to go on day trips all over Kyushu!!! And by the way...the staff are superb. Very professional and courteous...and despite the language barrier, they try their best to assist you with any request. Thank you Hotel Grandolce Hakata. Aloha from Hawaii.

A crow pecking at our window at all hours of the night, but can't really control that...LOL.

This hotel is in a great spot. Rooms are comfortable with enough space. Ours had a very nice view of the canal and nearby park area. Just a short walk away from the train station, and even closer to interesting river area and evening activities. Staff was helpful in answering questions before we got there and gave us advice on getting to the airport, and called us a cab.

I don't really have any complaints. As a foreigner, I might say English was a bit limited in some of our phone calls about changing nights before we arrived. One can't really make that complaint though, as it's unrealistic to assume everyone everywhere speaks your language.

Very convenient to metro station and easy to get from Hakata Station and the airport on the metro. The staff are charming and helpful. Very nice lobby area with comfortable couches and free coffee. Good breakfast with enough choices. Very quiet on my floor. I had a view of the canal. Near a main street with 7-eleven and other convenience stores.

The room was small but that tends to be the case in all hotels in Japan. The pillows were awful. They felt like they were filled with hay - maybe they were. The TV in the reception area is turned up loud in the afternoon so I wasn't comfortable sitting in that area.

I had a wonderful seven-night stay in Fukuoka. ☺ The hotel location is fantastic, on a quieter road near Tenjin and Nakasu's food and entertainment districts. It's also well connected via the subway and Nishitetsu trains. Check-in and check-out were smooth, and they offer free luggage storage for both. Everything was kept very clean, and the staff were always polite and helpful. The coin laundry and microwave area were convenient as well. I visited over the new year period, so there was oshiruko served at the front desk. A special shout-out goes to the staff member who helped me make phone calls in Japanese to find my wallet on the night of 2nd Jan. I'd like to thank him here for his effort and patience throughout my distress. Thank you so much!

This hotel exceeded my expectations. I booked the twin room and it was so spacious and had a balcony with a view of the park. The staff at the front desk were very helpful and the lobby had skincare amenities and different brands of shampoo & conditioner that you can choose from. The room had shampoo and conditioner as well. From the exterior, the hotel may look dated, but the rooms look like they were recently renovated. The bathrooms are like new! The location of the hotel was within walking distance 5 minutes to Tenjin Minami or Tenjin Station, Daimaru & Mitsukoshi department stores and about a 10 minute walk to Canal City. There are numerous restaurants and convenience stores within walking distance as well. Would definitely stay here again!

We had a wonderful stay in November at the Grandolce. The room with 2 twin beds was the most spacious room we have ever had in Japan. We were lucky to get the room with a balcony that overlooked the park and a wonderful view. Definitely request such a room if available. If you go in November and into the holidays you will enjoy the Christmas markets and lights as we did. The beds were very comfortable. We did use the coin laundry. The machines were more efficient than others we used in Japan as the washer and dryer were two separate units as opposed to one. The location is very convenient. Within walking distance to many restaurants, shopping, the yatai (food stalls), and metro stop. We paid extra for the buffet breakfast which was well worth it. A bonus is the free coffee/tea in the lobby which uses freshly ground coffee beans. All the staff at the front desk were helpful especially Chris. We would definitely return.

Great location in Hakata, close to the canal, party, shopping and food areas. But still very calm and private. Nice view of a park outside the room. Spacious rooms with a small table and two chairs too. Rooftop balcony which was great to chill at. Very helpfull staff who even filled out my Takkyubin form for me, very helpful with everything we needed. Good facilites at the hotel too.

Balcony was a bit smaller than expected and the aircon outside unit is located there too, so that maked it a bit extra hot to sit there. But not a dealbreaker. Toilets on rooftop balcony was closed, but might be because it was "out of season" Aircon was a bit tricky to "figure out" with a big room and thick douvets, but we figured out the optimal settings the first day.

The location is perfect for exploring Fukuoka --- lots of museums, shopping, restaurants, and transport nearby. The room was small, but very clean and comfortable. Bed was a little too hard for me, but normal in Japan. Breakfast was decent, but the eggs could use some more flavour.

The cheap shower curtain that blows around no matter what you do! A few dollars for magnets at the bottom and this problem could be solved. Closing breakfast just after 9 is also too early. Some of your guests would like to sleep in!

The location was perfect, its located in a good place where there's lots to do around the area. Each day I went in a different direction from the hotel and discovered some cool places. The service here was Fantastic! I even got a massage here and it was nice. The room was smaller than I was expecting but it was sufficient and just something I had to get acquainted with. The employees were accommodating and friendly. I didn't know much Japanese but I was learning and I used a translator sometimes anyway they answered many of my questions and were very kind. If I ever come back to Fukuoka I'll definitely be staying here again.

I honestly can't think of something that I didn't like here.

Nice location with attractions and shops nearby I appreciated the ice coffee machine :) Decent value, all things considered Comfortable bed with decent pillows from the get go

Only real complaint is the tablet in the room is a decent idea... but i was trying to sleep first night and the room was lit up like a Christmas tree because the tablet was acting up because the Internet had gone down and it was having issues connecting. I had to put it in a drawer to stop it from keeping me up.
