Coming off a shinkansen ride, the hotel was a short walking distance from Hakata Station. The check-in process was smooth and easy where it's done by a tablet with minimal interaction with staff. The entrance of the hotel looks amazing. On the ground floor of the hotel, there is a Lawson conbini and an onsen for hotel staff. The onsen was very clean and well maintained. A wonderful amenity to have after walking over 30k steps.

The rooms are a bit on the smaller side but depending how many luggage you have it is manageable. Depending which side of the hotel you are staying, it might be a little noisy since it is right by Hakata station but wasn't that bad.

The moment you step inside, you're greeted by a refreshing scent—like a spa wrapped in a warm hug. The location is unbeatable, just a stone’s throw from the train station, making it super convenient. While the room was tiny (think minimalist chic... with extra emphasis on mini), the onsen totally made up for it—clean, soothing, and the perfect way to unwind. Breakfast was just okay, nothing to write home about, but good enough to start the day. Come for the convenience and the onsen, stay for the great vibes and good value.

The room, however, is very small—barely enough space to open a suitcase. If you're traveling as a couple, definitely consider upgrading to a larger room.

Staff gave as incorrect info about the luggage delivery service. We were told to bring luggage down by 10 am to have it delivered to our next hotel that same day. When we brought our luggage down before 10 am we were told by a different front desk person that it would not be delivered until the next day and that we need to bring luggage down at least 24 hrs in advance. Therefore, we had to take all of our luggage with us on the bus to the amusement park, find lockers to store our luggage, and then take it on the bus and train to our next hotel.

Nishitetsu Hotel Croom Hakata is a vanilla (although orange outside) Japanese business hotel adjacent to the north end of the Hakata bus terminal. This is a good value option for the price and location which is close to the heart of Fukuoka's rail, metro, and bus transport hub. The journey from Fukuoka International Airport to the Hakata bus terminal using the airport bus service is thoroughly painless; buses depart outside the arrivals hall and terminate opposite the Hotel Croom, which is less than a run-out throw across the road. The hotel interior is a bright Scandinavian blonde-themed light brown. Rooms are "compact" with all the right amenities squeezed in; en suite bathroom (mind your head), desk, TV, A/C, dehumidifier, refrigerator. Hanging and suitcase storage space is limited. It seems designed for the light-travelling salaryman. Trouser presses are placed next to the lifts, and the imagined image of trouserless businessmen queuing to prep their pants for a day out is hard to shake. There is a ground floor (1/F) Onsen and a coin laundry on the 8th floor. A good value base to start exploring Kyushu. There are three "Crooms" in Fukuoka; best to double-check the name and location before booking.

Watch out for the breakfast arrangement. Two choices, a full buffet on the LB lobby (1/F) level and a set menu breakfast at the semi-hidden 1/F floor (Onsen/ground floor) level. Very confusing. Front desk check in staff cocked up our breakfast booking arrangement and we ended up with only one set menu meal, causing restaurant staff to get very flustered and confused.

I really liked using the hotel onsen, it was relatively spacious and invigorating to use. The hotel room was clean and it was comfortable. The shower facilities was excellent, by Japanese or Western standards. The customer service was warm and friendly (something some hotels in the West can learn from). The location was about a 10 minute walk from the trains, which was really convenient. Buffet breakfast was served in a restaurant linked to the hotel, which had a nice ambient feel.

The internet connection was erratic, cutting out at random - even though it did work well when I was in the hotel lobby. However, I am not sure if the issues were caused by my anti-virus software so I'm giving it the benefit of the doubt on that one. The other minor matter is you can hear the underground trains but that is a small price to pay for being in a good location to the train station.

I enjoyed my stay at Nishitetsu Hotel. The hotel is in a very convenient location right next to Hakata bus terminal, taxi stand and train station and also has a Lawsons on the first floor which came in handy whenever I felt like a snack. The room wasn't the biggest I've stayed in but I'd say it's quite normal by Japanese standard. The room however was clean and the beds were comfortable. The hotel staff were friendly and professional and were able to assist me with any enquiry I had about getting around town. I will definitely stay at Nishitetsu Hotel the next time I'm in Fukuoka. Highly recommended.

Excellent location, within 5 minutes of Hakata Station and right next to the Bus Terminal. Room was of a decent size and our room had a wonderful view of the Hakata JR station platforms where trains came and went. Despite the proximity, we hardly heard any noise. Clean and comfortable.

The hairdryer was not strong enough. Would have been great if that can be replaced. The windows had handprints on it. Would have been good if cleaning was done for that too.

Very close and convenient to the station. The attached Lawson's was also a plus. The room itself was clean and we were provided with fresh towels and water bottles each day. The onsen was decently large and was also equipped with a cold plunge and sauna. Great value for the price

Room could be a bit bigger for two people and their luggage, plus it was a little dim.

Location, cleanliness and value for money

One of the non japanese staff was quite unfriendly - I check in on 1.10 at 1458 pm. She was v unfriendly and unhelpful when I wanted to buy a breakfast voucher. I stayed in rm 1446 from 1.10-5.10. Please advise ur non japanese staff

The location is very good and close to rail/bus station . it is easy to find food around the corner. The room space is good enough for 2 people with luggage in the room.

Hot spring status showing on TVT was always crowded. The smell of hot spring is not what we thought of original hot spring.
