Toyoko inn Gotemba Ekimae is a lovely budget business hotel located just outside the Gotemba station . The quaint hotel provides compact rooms with a working table and a small bathroom. The breakfast spread is not elaborate but provides for a sufficient morning meal . There is a coffee maker in the lobby where u can have coffee any time . There is ice vending machine and a microwave for use in the lobby . Also located are coin operated washing machines . There are free shuttle buses available for the Gotemba outlets which makes it convincing for those using this as a base fo shopping . Being located outside the station , all public transport is available at a 100 distance . Buses towards Kawaguchiko and Hakone run frequently from here It is a clean and well kept hotel with friendly staff I would surely recommend this place .

Such a pleasant stay at Toyoko Inn Gotemba. What stands out is that the hotel provided shuttle bus service to Fuji Q and Kawaguchiko area by web reservation easily. You can also ride the free shuttle bus service to the premium outlet just across the hotel. The hotel is very close to the Gotemba Station so if you’re heading to Gotemba from Tokyo by bus, they will just drop you off at the station and you just have to walk around 100m to the hotel. Breakfast was pretty decent, water station and laundry area was provided as well. Overall a great stay in Toyoko Inn Gotemba.

Exceeded all my expectations - very clean and tidy, and everything I could possibly need was included. Even pyjamas and skincare products! The breakfast buffet had something for everyone and the range of cuisines rivalled a luxury hotel - both European, Japanese and fusion options, and some options I wouldn’t normally associate with breakfast like grape jelly but it was such a treat. There were plenty of power outlets for a single room and there was even a dehumidifier which I used as I find air conditioning very drying. I was actually amazed by the design of the bathroom which maximised the use of very limited space - the tap for the sink swivels to also be used in the shower/bath. The only thing worth noting would be that staff had limited English. Checkin and checkout were fully automated though so there was very little need to interact with any staff. I thought it would be normal to wear the provided pyjamas to breakfast but seems I was the only one - that was a bit weird and maybe could have been explained clearer. Also all the signs were in Japanese so it took me a while to figure out how to turn off the light, which was only an issue because I was so exhausted I just wanted to sleep.

Great location right beside the train station which also has all the bus stops around it, so really handy for getting lots of places in the area. Got a view of Mount Fuji from my room, can't beat that! Really good shower, one of the best I've had in Japan (it wasn't too small!!). Also room had plenty of space, a bit more than is typical in Japan.

Breakfast was pretty meh, it was fine but nothing special. The room lighting is a bit weird, but easy enough to figure out an arrangement that works. Only thing they're missing is an onsen really.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The room was clean, comfortable, and had an amazing view of Mount Fuji. The breakfast was delicious with a great variety, and my mom and 5-year-old niece especially loved it. The staff were also very friendly and accommodating.

However, I was disappointed with the parking situation. The car park is a 5-8 minute walk from the hotel, which was tiring with luggage and backpacks. Additionally, it still cost 2000 yen per night, which felt unreasonable given the distance and lack of shuttle service.

Room lack of shelves or space behind the bed frame to place places and stuff for easy access, plus lack and charging sockets next to bed for charging even thou hotel was new built in 2024. Breakfast timing will be good if can last till 10am instead of 9am.

We stayed in 4 different hotels this week and this is the best! We stayed in this hotel for 2 days. We requested for a quiet room and a view of Mount Fuji and was told that they couldn't promise us. But they really did gave us the room we wanted, the highest floor! The room is spacious for the 3 of us and very clean. The bed is comfortable and shower is great. There's a machine to refill water and they have free flow of tea and coffee. Breakfast is enjoyable.

Location is superb, just next to Gotemba Station, free bus to Gotemba Premium Outlet as well Going to Fuji Safari or Kawaguchiko is also easy just board from the other side of the station. Family Mart also only about 3 minute walk, Hotel also have laundry machine. Perfect Am very happy with the hotel, great value !

the down side is only the hotel can let you enter the room after 4 pm unless you are a toyoko member, they will let you enter at 3 pm. A bit late for hotel in Japan (usually after 2 or 3 pm)

The breakfast was superb—lots to choose from. Very clean room/facilities. About as close to the train station and bus stop as you can get (i.e., right outside the front door).

I didn't like how you have to scan a QR code and pay with a credit card to use the washer/dryer. That seemed a bit ridiculous. Like the other Toyoko Inns I've stayed at, you have to scan your room key to use the elevator. I understand the security reasons for this, but it makes it a bit cumbersome to do when your hands are full.

Excellent position right behind the train station, a perfect solution if you need to stay overnight in Gotemba. The property is clean, with free toiletries and tea/coffee in the lobby. Also, a decent breakfast was included. The room was large for Japanese standards, clean, and with a nice view on the surroundings.

The room smelled like it was before used as a smoking room. Even if during my stay the room was non-smoking, likely the moquette has not been replaced. Price was a bit high due to holiday but still ok.
