Very good location if you want to climb Mt Fuji. The Gotemba trail starts in town, but we went to the 5th station and climbed the Subashiri trail. There's a bus shuttle that takes you there from the main Gotemba Station (which is less than a 10-minute walk away). However, the first one leaves at 6:45, but the hotel offers breakfast from 6:30 on, which is a bit too late if you want to catch the bus. My recommendation would be that they start breakfast at 6:00. Other than that, we were very pleasantly surprised by the big room :)

All the meals are prepared in a very authentic manner, and the customer service is the best I have ever experienced. The staff are super nice and polite, and I could feel I am being welcomed here. The building and the facilities have seen ages but everything is so clean and tidy that it did not cause any discomfort at all, I would say it even adds to the experience as it gives a sense of nostalgia.

The staff were very friendly and happy to help us. The location was great -- 5 minutes from the station, 8 minutes from a strip mall and grocery store. The price was good and we got a last minute booking to boot. Delicious ramen next door.

There was construction going on in our floor. It was at a reasonable hour but definitely noticeable. They should be finished by December 2024.

Unfortunately, my parents did not like very much about the hotel. If you are used to a high standard of rooms, this is not it. It is a bit old and small, but good value for money I think.

The breakfast didn't have enough non-Japanese options and the beds were not comfortable. The bathroom had the toilet too close to the door.

The location was great. We were climbing Fuji and it’s only 5 minutes walk from the bus stop which takes you up to the trail. The view from our room was of Mount Fuji and was amazing. The staff were really kind and accommodating, storing our luggage the night before and helping us with an early check in.

We booked this stay last minute, we weren't expecting much but we were pleasantly surprised. The location was super close to the train station, about a 10-minute walk. Close to the buses to mount fuji trails. They offered free curry for dinner and breakfast. The staff was incredibly helpful and kind when answering questions about the mountain

Quite near to train station and a big supermarket is nearby, very accessible love the complimentary rice or udon with curry. The reception staff that attended to me is very very very helpful and polite, thank you, sorry i forgot her name but i pen it in the other survey. I tried the japanese style room (1night) and western style (1 night), both very pleasant and clean. The only thing is the Onsen is only for male….hope you’ll can factor for female in future when more females travel.

Room was slightly small but it was clean and cozy. Parking was plenty even though requires a short walk. Staff were friendly and able to converse in English. There is also a public bath for men. View was the best as we were able to see Fuji from the main entrance.

Toilet was bit old and rusty on certain parts and the room have a 'interesting' smell but they do provided air freshener. Other than that, it was great overall.

The place was nice, the room I had was quite big. The hotel also offered dinner but I arrived a bit late. The only issue I had is that there was quite a strong smell of cigarettes in the room. The breakfast buffet was very limited.

the futon were a little too thing and I felt I was sleeping on the mat. The refrigerator noise woke me up twice during the night. A little loud. The acoustics of the room could be improved.
