I’ve stayed in Henn na Hotels before near the airport, and was expecting comfortable beds and facilities, clean and fresh, good value - but slow and slightly impersonal service. Was pleasantly surprised at the Kanazawa hotel to have super friendly & generous support (special thank you to one staff member who was there in the evening and morning of our booking, didn’t catch her name, European, elegant, long hair). Bicycles are a great addition, and unlike many other places, they actually have enough bicycles for their guests. Liked it so much I decided to stay another night in Kanazawa. Also, I forgot to warn my friend about the dinosaur robots. She nearly broke down with hysterical laughter in the lobby. Be prepared!

Would be nice if this property had a sento or an arrangement with local sento

Just like the title says. Close to the bus stop that can take you to Kanazawa station and Higashi Chaya. Walking distance to Nagamachi and some good food spots. I was a solo traveler and was given a room with two beds which was an unexpected luxury. The self-help luggage storage system is also very convenient and easy to use. Idk why people are so mad about the animatronic dinosaurs lmao it's a funny gimmick. There are staff in the back if you want to speak to a human. Would definitely stay again and consider their other locations as well!

I liked the location of the hotel -walking distance to the park and minutes to shops. The room was bigger than average with good basic amenities like a fridge and kettle. I loved being able to turn off the air con in my room. I prefer a cooler temp than the baseline for winter heating.

Not having any staff on the front counter was annoying. The dinosaurs are quirky, but it's not a seamless self check in because they kept malfunctioning. Sometimes you want to ask a question but there is no one to answer. The mattress wasn't as comfortable as other hotels.

Really great location & value. Super clean, has all amenities you need. Comfortable beds. Get the Japanese style twin room - the beds are wider than the normal twins.

Breakfast was not worth 1800 yen. Although staff work tirelessly to ensure that dishes are replenished frequently I just didn’t find it was worth the money or what I expected from a breakfast buffet. Scrambled eggs were runny, no fresh fruit other than cut up oranges. The French toast is made to order and it was good though.

The check in process! It was pouring with rain, we were cold and wet and wanted to check in early but they refused to open check in before 3pm. By 3pm the foyer was full of guests obviously with the same idea. When they finally turned on the robotic dinosaurs we had to queue and wait a long time for our turn to check in. I thought the hotel could have responded better to their guests and at least allowed us to complete the electronic check in part earlier to avoid queueing so that at 3pm we could just go to to our rooms

Amusing having the dinosaurs greet you at reception. We checked in fine using the automated system, but staff were on hand to help those who struggled. The room was large and comfortable. Two large single beds that we pushed together. It was quiet and well equipped. Location was great, with a convenience store across the road, and walkable to nearby sights. It was also on a central bus line to reach the station and other sights further out.

I would have liked sugar available in the room to make my coffee. Everything else was great.

Beyond the gimmick of the dinosaur robots greeting you, the hotel is very good. The robots only react to your self check-in/out, but staff is available for other needs like luggage storage or ordering a taxi. Remember to pick up amenities in the lobby before going to your room. The room was small, but great. There is space to lay out a small suitcase. Toilet was separate, the sink was in the room. There was a wet room unit with bathtub and shower. The location is great, central and along a bus line. Close to the park and the castle ruins. In walking distance to the fish market or all three traditional quarters.

No storage space for large luggage. There is a gas station nearby which plays a loud jingle for the employees (like a telephone ringing) when a customer wants to pay. If you like to sleep in late and are a light sleeper this might annoy you.

The breakfast was the best we have had in Japan so far. The room had a nice view to kanazawa city and part of the castle's garden. We had to make a call to the post service and also send the luggage to the next hotel, in the reception they helped us solve all this.

The service and facilities in general were very good, nothing to complain about on this front. The only improvement I can see is to add some surface in the room to use as a table (e.g. to eat in the room or use as a desk), there is not much space in the room to add a table but a piece of wood could be hung on the wall to put it horizontal and use as a table when necessary.

This is a great base for exploring Kanazawa. The dinosaur robots are fun but its the rooms and the service that are exceptional. We received a free upgrade to our room, it was spacious and very comfortable. The hotel is very clean and there are plenty of amenities. You can also store your luggage before check in and after check out.

If I'm being really picky I didnt like the pillows that much but I just asked for another and problem solved!
