On our tour in Japan we have been in three different Toyoko Inn hotels, always best value for the price, this one was maybe the best, excellent location in the very center of the city, few steps away from an old quarter full of restaurants and shops where the beautiful Samurai house is located. Services at the hotel are excellent, buffet breakfast always included, japanese only as usual, clean room not too small if you book, as we did, a queen or twin bedroom, laundry machine available as it is cold and hot water and use of a microwave and dining room if you buy food in a combini.

Toyoko Inns are a chain of fairly basic accommodation, but this one exceeded our expectations in that the rooms are a decent size by Japanese standards, with plenty of storage space under the beds and a decent room layout. Our daughter, who is working in Japan, stayed too, and the hotel were able to put us in adjacent rooms. The wonderful Omicho fish market is about 10 minutes walk away, and most of the major attractions of the city are a medium length walk or a short bus ride away.

OK, it's an economy type hotel, so no frills. But has everything you need, including fridge, kettle etc. Fully functional bathroom. The bonus is you get a free breakfast, bit basic but adequate enough. The staff at breakfast are very nice and very attentive. Its location is good, about 15 mins from station. But there is a bus stop right outside. Bus costs about £1.20 Everything is immaculately clean. Beds quite hard, but ok.

The location is great, right at the heart of the city. Kenroku-en, Kanazawa Castle and Omicho Market are all within walking distance (10 to 15 minutes walk). Department stores, restaurants, convenience stores etc are all close by. The hotel provides free shuttle to and from Kanazawa Station, and the driver I encountered was very friendly and helpful. The hotel room is clean and quiet.

Excellent value for money. Very good breakfast buffet included in the price. Lots of Japanese and other Asian visitors. Close to the Loop Route bus stops, therefore easy access to sightseeing attractions. Hotel offers free shuttle to the train/bus terminal complex. Taxi to hotel, Cdn11. Comfortable room and very clean public spaces. Helpful staff.

Close to most touristic spots, restaurants, shops and a departmental store. Good range of breakfast options for Japanese (rice, miso soup, meat and lots of vegetables which can be hard to find in Japanese cuisine) and western style (bread). Although they had some construction happening during the day, it didn’t impact us at all as we were out during the day.

Close to Kenrokuen park and other sightseeing spots. Supermarket, convenience stores, restaurants and shopping malls close by. Since it's a little bit far from the station, the hotel offers a shuttle service. There was a clothes line in the bathroom to dry clothes that can not be put in the dryer.

The ventilation appliance in the room was very noisy and there was a sign that explained that it should not be turned off.

The hotel is nice, The room is comfortable for our family. The service is good, the staff are friendly and nice to help. The breakfast is also delicious and varied. The hotel also provides a shuttle bus to and from the station. I enjoyed staying at this hotel and will book again if I visit again.

The buffet breakfast has many choices, and you can set yourself up for a busy day, after enjoy the buffet breakfast. The free courtesy shuttle back to Kanazawa station, meant it was easy to travel back to the station it’s my luggage.

If I had known about the free courtesy shuttle bus, I would have tried to use it, and therefore I would not have needed to navigate the Kanazawa local bus, which have steps.

Very clean. The layout of furniture in the room was nice and it felt spacious. Shuttle bus service between Kanazawa station and the hotel was great.

Power sockets were limited. There were only 2 sockets in our room (2 people) when both of us wanted to charge smart phones, smart watches, laptops, an electronic toothbrush, a mobile charge, etc… If there were more vegetarian options for breakfast, that’d be great.
