Good location, walkable to all main sights. Good connection to Kanazawa train station. The bed was super comfortable and they provided pyjamas which was really nice. I didn't like the fact that the sink was in the middle of the hallway and that bathroom was actually a huge shower/bathtub, but we managed despite this. The hotel also organises a Kogei night (traditional Japanese tea and sweets) every evening for their guests which was a nice experience althought by the time we got there (at 8 PM sharp) they have already started introducing everything (before the official activity start) and did so only in Japanese, so I felt like we missed the story behind Kogei.

The staff is very nice and friendly, eager to help. The hotel is nice and modern; and the rooms are spacious, modern and very clean. The location is quite good

Very poor breakfast. It is neither a traditional Japanese nor a continental breakfast. The choice is between risotto dishes, a bad take on a French classic, or some pastries. There was also no lactose intolerance options, only whole milk was available. I would not pay to have the breakfast included in this overall very good hotel.

Feels brand new and is spotlessly clean. Seems to cater for Japanese folk (we appeared to be the only westerners there) but the staff spoke excellent English and all signage was in both languages. Very small breakfast menu, and unusual, but delicious. Only a 2 minute walk from one of the Loop Bus stops. Quiet, but lots of restaurants and bars in the vicinity.

Getting in and out of bed was a bit awkward for old people like us (it’s on a platform with access from only one side), but this was not a major issue.

The location was great. It is pedestrian only during the day so just be aware that a taxi cannot drop you at the front door of the hotel and also the hotel will not book you taxis because of this. The room we had was one of the larger ones and have everything we needed including a washing machine and somewhere to dry our clothes. You have to ask reception for cooking utensils but they do have them. Loved the decor. Nice and light and bright. It is only a short ealk to some great restaurants and also the Samurai district.

This is a modern well run hotel that includes all the things that most travellers might need. Having stayed at a variety of hotels in Japan it's evident that the company that manages this hotel knows just what to provide for this market niche and they do it without fuss. Unlike some bland modern hotels they include some thoughtful traditional japanese touches in both design and facilities. We were pleasantly surprised by the size of our room by comparison to some offerings in Japan and whilst it was not big, it was quite adequate and comfortable with some clever design touches like the slightly raised platform accomodating the large comfy futon that enabled empty suitcased to be stored away - something that many hotels fail to do. The location is very good - approx 1,400 - 1,500 yen taxi ride from the train station and less than 50 metres from Macdonalds, 7 eleven & H&M. Kenroeken Park & Castle are about 20 to 30 minutes easy and pleasant walk and there is lots to see and do in between. Highly recommended and we'd certainly stay there again if in kanazawa. Breakfast was 1,600 yen and involved a simple choice between 5 thoughtfully designed and tasty risotto dishes or crock monsieur [cheese on toast] combined with a buffet including salads, yoghurt, juices, coffee tea etc - quite fair value and a clean, airy place to eat it - I suggest the risotto. Like many hotels in Japan they provide all those little extra's such as soap, shampoo, tooth brush and paste, hair brush etc etc - some of which are in the room and others at a take away counter on the grond floor adjacent to the lifts

there was not anything to dislike about staying at this hotel - though Saturday nights can be somewhat more expensive than other nights - probably because a lot of city bound Japanese workers jump on the train and spend their weekend getaway there

The place is well located a short walk from the traditional area of Nishi Chaya and nice restaurants. The only thing that could be better is the breakfast. We booked including breakfast but that only gives you a choice of a few Japanese dishes which we did not really like or 2 bread rolls. So that would be a slight improvement point. But the place is very new, the rooms are clean and quiet.

Everything is new and modern. We had a really good sleep. It was centrally located allowing us to walk to most sites of interest.

It fronts a pedestrian street where cars are not allowed until 7 pm. Getting there with bags from the parking lot, a few blocks away, was a hassle. Amenities are available - for example t-shirts, slippers, iron, for small rental fee. There is no tea or coffee available in your room. But bc the room rate was so reasonable, it did not offend me. It was a bit surprising though. Breakfast buffet did not seem to be geared for Western tastes so we skipped it. Plenty of other options nearby.

Location in central Kanazawa excellent.

Please note that the hotel states it has a car park - it doesn't. It has links to local parking, which is not at the same address as the hotel, which makes it impossible to find unless you go to the hotel first and get the details. The hotel is in a pedestrian precinct, which clearly doesn't fit if you are driving! Please also note that when you leave, you pay for the parking (at a discount) at the hotel, not at the car park itself.

It is a great hotel located in Katamachi, close to shops and restaurants. My partner and I had caught the flu, and the staff helped make a doctor appointment for us and enquired after our health as we were checking out. The decorations were modern, the rooms spacious - definitely worth staying there.
