I want to say the staff was wonderful, went above and beyond for us. I left my backpack on the train and without even me asking, they quickly gathered information on the type of train we were on (even helped with us with determining what train, as there are many, JR, Shinkansen, local...), time, destination etc... The same afternoon, they had located the backpack, left us instructions on where to go and even wrote a memo written in Japanese for the station agent (in case they do not speak English). I really appreciate how helpful, nice and understanding the staff is. The hotel also offers luggage transport at an affordable price. Mine arrived at my next hotel with no problems. There is a nice cafe located in the lobby of hotel - great for breakfast or afternoon break. Family Mart is literally steps away from the hotel, very convenient. The hotel itself is also very clean, sleek and quiet. I like that it's not a huge hotel so it's nice and not super loud.

There really isn't anything I don't like, but if the temperature of the ofuro can be a bit higher, that would be great.

It was a complete surprise... we booked it and was not expecting too much but we had such a nice surprise! It was a great place to stay - the staff was helpful, the rooms were not big but super clean and lovely, great and zen like vibe, really nice Onsen (with free lollipops afterwards), tasty coffee place in the lobby area. Highly recommended! [we're a family of 5 and had 2 rooms close to each other, but no connecting doors as they do not have such rooms]

The dryer was not super effective, and the location was ok but not excellent. To be clear - it is very close to the train station which is convenient when you arriver and leave Kyoto. It does have some restaurants close by, and was decent at night. It is NOT close to the main attractions of the city - around Nashiki market and Gion (which were 30 mins walk ; 10 mins taxi).

The hotel provided a very nice breakfast, it was in a great location very close to the Kyoto Station as well as number of bus stops. A convenience store was right next door and a department store was maybe five minutes away on foot. I really enjoyed the public bath, it was the perfect way to unwind after a day out in the cold. Overall, I really liked the design concept, it was a very pleasant place to be.

I failed to figure out if there is a way to adjust the temperature - it tended to get quite warm. Not a major issue since the outside temperature was very low and the weather was often miserable but on other days, you might want to keep it a bit lower. As for the breakfast, while enjoyable, there are only two options which could get quite repetitive if you are staying for more than a couple of nights.

The interior of the building was very pleasant, I really appreciated the theme of the hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was tasty and filling, worth the price in my opinion. We got a slightly bigger room and it was good size, any smaller would feel cramped. Really appreciated the facilities like the shared bath, washing machines and microwave. The location is amazing, it's a short walk away from the biggest station so getting around the city was easy, but it's situated on a quiet part of the street full of restaurants and stores. There is also a big mall nearby.

Pretty pricey and breakfast selection could use more variety.

Great location! Only 3 min to Kyoto station. 24 hr open Family Mart is right next door so we could pick up quick snacks and coffee anytime. Staff are very polite and respectful. Super clean facility. The rooms had good insulation. I didn’t hear any noises from the next door. Their laundry machines were awesome as well. One machine takes care of both washing and drying, so all you have to do is put 500 yen into the machine and forget about it. It has a security feature too that you set pass code at the beginning and you enter the pass code when you open the machines. Detergent is included in the machines. Their Onsen room is very specious and water temperature was just right. If I go back to Tokyo again, I’ll stay Hotel and Rooms.

Everything fabulous, very modern and well, appealing design throughout. Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff, limited choice for breakfast, but excellent quality and VfM! Onsen marvellous, quiet, comfortable an never full. Location perfect, ca 15mins walk to Station and 10 mins to three massive temple complexes. Bus 205 to Golden Temple right outdoor.

Our room had the only small window in the bathroom, but we didn't come for the view from the hotelroom, so it's no problem. Other rooms have proper windows, so no worry!

A cozy and stylish stay! The room was small but incredibly comfortable, spotless, and beautifully designed. Every detail was well thought out, making the space feel warm and inviting. The hotel’s atmosphere was charming, and the staff was friendly and attentive. A perfect choice for a short stay!

However, we were disappointed to find out that the café on the hotel’s premises is not actually part of the hotel. When we stopped by just to pour a glass of water, the staff was extremely rude. It was an unpleasant experience that slightly dampened an otherwise great stay.

We picked this hotel due to its proximity to the train station - which we were going to regularly for trips. It's so tidy, clean, and comfortable. Rooms are a decent size and the staff are very friendly. The onsen was very nice and they had complimentary fruit ice pops afterwards which was so refreshing. Eco-friendly amenities as well, and really beautifully designed. Would absolutely stay here again. We didn't have the breakfast included - but their breakfast place is also a cafe that people not staying in can access and it's very highly rated. Would be interested to try their breakfast - if we ever come back to Kyoto this is definitely where we would be staying. Nice and also away from the super touristy section which my husband and I really liked. The beds were so comfortable - we loved the pillows! In fact - we had meant to ask what brand they were so we could buy them ourselves!

The rooms and hotel staff were great. Very clean and spacious. Loved the public bath. It was great to be able to store luggage there too.

The staff (I think owner or manager) of the restaurant was very unfriendly. They had a policy of requiring each person sitting down to order a meal. That's a reasonable policy. However the manager guy was super unfriendly about it. We walked in to look around and he saw my boyfriend had a coke with him and essentially ordered him out of the space. Then the next morning my parents were eating breakfast there I walked in to say good morning to them and asked if it was ok if I sat with them (I wasn't hungry for breakfast) and again he was very unfriendly about saying no. I choose not to give him my business the rest of my stay.

Friendly staff. Great location not too far from Kyoto station. Our room was a good size comfortable for 3 people and I was happy that room temperature stayed cooled(and can adjust it). They also have an air purifier, so I say leave that on too. I also really like their window screen design. Public bath was really nice to have as an option and the popsicles helped our bodies cool down after too. Konbini next door is also a plus.

I wish coffee was also offered in our room. Drip bag coffee would be nice. I'd also like to see a trash can in the bathroom and maybe a small safe I can store things in while I'm out. The public bath was nice but the water did have quite a bit of hair floating around.
