Room was small but just enough for 1 person with luggage. Comfortable bed. Quiet at night. Late check in (closer to midnight) wasn't a problem. Very close to the train and bus station, convenient to go to main attractions. There are 2 washing machines and 2 dryers on the ground floor. You need coins to use them. The dryers were usually busy.

It was a bit difficult to control the pressure of water in the tap. I found the system of switching water between the shower head and the tap a bit annoying. Not all staff speaks English. They provide plastic cups in the room, it would be better if reusable cups were provided. They don't clean rooms every day but they bring bags with new towels and plastic cups to your door every door even if you don't request it, I found this unnecessary.

The location was excellent, literally out of Kyoto station, cross a street and you get to the hotel in less than 5 minutes. The room was clean and the staff were friendly. Even if you opt not to have your room cleaned one day, the staff still leave clean towels and amenities out for you to use. The ice machine in the lobby was also a bonus for the hot summer days.

If you are going to be doing tourist things and want to visit different locations, this hotel is very convenient. The rooms are as other reviews say small, but if like us, you are only spending a few hours in the hotel every day for shower and sleep, then the room is ok. However, keep in mind if you have more than 1 suitcase, it will be challenging to manage.

The room and bed were very comfy. Big nice TV that's easy to connect to with my Android phone via casting. There was a nice small panel near the bed with which you can control the air conditioner and all the lights - it was very comfortable! The shower/toilet were also very good and there were lots of useful and high quality amneties e.g. toothbrush, toothpaste, shower gel, conditioner, shampoo, etc.

Not much really. Maybe the only thing is that you needed to put the room service sign outside before 9am. I had a long day and overlslept so by the time I saw the sign it was already past 9 and I couldn't get room service.

Location was super convenient due to the proximity to the main train station. There is a HUGE mall nearby name yodobashi camera, it's perfect for shopping absolutely everything you may think of and even buy extra luggage to fit all of those things in. The hotel was very modern and eventhough the rooms were smallish, they hay all you may need.

Most touristy attractions were a bus or subway away, not walking distance but it was a short ride (10min) so not too bad. The pillows are really uncomfortable, every APA hotel seem to have the same ones and they are dreadful.

The location is excellent, and the reception staff are very friendly and welcoming.

The price is a bit too expensive for what is offered, One thing I found inconvenient was the requirement to provide an overly detailed address within the country. This policy seems to apply across all branches in the chain. I believe stating the country of origin should be sufficient. Without a detailed address, they wouldn’t issue the key card.

The biggest plus of this hotel is the staff and the location. The staff was helpful and always friendly, even though there sometimes could be some language barrier issues, they were easily solved with translation applications. The room was clean, there was enough space for me and my wife, but if you bring up more than 1 suitcase it might be a problem.

I'd say that the main problem was laundry, there were only 2 washing machines for the whole hotel, just imagine an 8 floors hotel with 10+ rooms on each and only 2 washing machines for the whole.

This hotel exceeded my expectations. It was super clean. There was good water pressure in the bathroom, and all the toiletries you can possibly imagine. The hotel provides two ergonomic pillows for each person, and the mattress was quite comfortable. There is a fridge and a kettle in the room. There is a coin laundry available on site. The room seemed well soundproofed as it was quiet and we did not hear other guests, despite the hotel being full. It is quite close to the main train station (5 minute walk) and several bike rental shops as well as a big shopping center with a great food court below.

No negatives, really. Unless you are a member of this hotel chain, check out time is 10:00am. However, they will keep your luggage before and after check out with no additional charge.

Excellent location near Kyoto rail station and lots of shops. APA is a national chain with a model of budget self service with lots of amenities provided but with relatively little room staff (e.g. bags full of new towels etc delivered to your door daily but not brought in - though a full clean is done every fourth day). So 4 star amenities in 2 star room. Hence the good value. Front desk staff very helpful and friendly.

The room is small but full-featured. Then again most hotel rooms in this class are snall.

Oh this is the best location next to all train lines and amenities such as grocery, 7-11 restaurants cute amazing neighbourhoods and a temple the best staff bright rooms with UBS plugs and perfect for one person. I stayed in a few APA's all through Japan and they were great!! I will only stay in APA hotels in Japan

There was nothing I did not like, it was perfect

The location of this APA is excellent, a few minutes walk from the Kyoto Station and a lot of restaurants, bar, malls, and the station itself.

As usual, the pretty standard APA room, not big deal but for a foreigner, space is pretty limited if that is an issue for you, and I've stayed in other APA's that are better equipped.
