I want to say the staff was wonderful, went above and beyond for us. I left my backpack on the train and without even me asking, they quickly gathered information on the type of train we were on (even helped with us with determining what train, as there are many, JR, Shinkansen, local...), time, destination etc... The same afternoon, they had located the backpack, left us instructions on where to go and even wrote a memo written in Japanese for the station agent (in case they do not speak English). I really appreciate how helpful, nice and understanding the staff is. The hotel also offers luggage transport at an affordable price. Mine arrived at my next hotel with no problems. There is a nice cafe located in the lobby of hotel - great for breakfast or afternoon break. Family Mart is literally steps away from the hotel, very convenient. The hotel itself is also very clean, sleek and quiet. I like that it's not a huge hotel so it's nice and not super loud.

There really isn't anything I don't like, but if the temperature of the ofuro can be a bit higher, that would be great.

We loved our stay at hotel androoms! The room was simple and comfortable, and even though we only had a window in the bathroom, we found the lighting relaxing - the room was also really quiet (great soundproofing!). We enjoyed our breakfast each morning, and overall found the stay to be very good value.

It is awesome that the hotel has bikes to borrow - for free! However, we recommend that the hotel set a time limit for guests to borrow them. Although we expected guests to be more considerate that other guests may have wanted to use the bikes, we were disappointed that on both days people borrowed the bikes from early morning and didn’t return them until night - not cool!

I loved: - The location of the hotel is near the train station with multiple restaurants, shops, bars, and grocery stores nearby. - The complimentary bicycles are available for hotel guests to use during their stay. - The quiet environment to relax during your stay and the outstanding onsen facilities (no extra charge). - The room and bed were very comfortable.

I did not enjoy: - The breakfast options offered on-site at the coffee shop. - The lack of flexibility in finding a space to make a business call while my family was sleeping in the room. - The hotel needs to offer more laundry machines, as it was complicated to find availability. - The lack of storage and seating option in the room.

Comfortable room but only 1 pillow. Good shower. Staff were very helpful.

The 2 breakfast options were limited but what was served was nice. No vego option - pretty common in Japan I discovered. Limitless tea or coffee would have been nice. I wasn't allowed to take honey into the dining room despite the fact that my toast came with nothing to put on it! It wasn't clear that I had booked a twin room without a window, until after I'd booked it. There was a window (looking out onto a wall) from the bathroom. In the end, that didn't matter for only 3 nights and it meant we didn't get woken up by the very early rising sun.

The hotel is in a great location, very close to the train station and bus stops, which made getting around super easy. The design is minimalist and clean, and the room, while compact, was functional and perfect for a short stay, especially if you're out exploring most of the time. We also appreciated the thoughtful touch of having fresh towels left at our door.

While the hotel was comfortable and well-located, it did feel a bit impersonal, as there's minimal interaction with staff, which seems to be increasingly common in Japan. It wasn't a major issue, but something to keep in mind if you're looking for a more personal or traditional hospitality experience. The room is also a bit noisy if the windows are open due to proximity to the main street.

This hotel looked to good to be true from the booking pictures but it was better than we could have imagined! It was so beautiful and a unique hotel. Loved that the onsen was included in the price and was tattoo friendly and had free Popsicles. The rooms were great and they configured 3 beds so all 3 of us got our own.

My only complaint was that there was only 3 washing machines (they were two-in-one washer/dryer) for the whole place. They took our stuff out all wet right when I went to grab it out of the machine (we were a few minutes late to grab it out). I had to wait until the next morning to try and dry them but the dryer function doesn't work great and they smelled the rest of the trip.

It was a complete surprise... we booked it and was not expecting too much but we had such a nice surprise! It was a great place to stay - the staff was helpful, the rooms were not big but super clean and lovely, great and zen like vibe, really nice Onsen (with free lollipops afterwards), tasty coffee place in the lobby area. Highly recommended! [we're a family of 5 and had 2 rooms close to each other, but no connecting doors as they do not have such rooms]

The dryer was not super effective, and the location was ok but not excellent. To be clear - it is very close to the train station which is convenient when you arriver and leave Kyoto. It does have some restaurants close by, and was decent at night. It is NOT close to the main attractions of the city - around Nashiki market and Gion (which were 30 mins walk ; 10 mins taxi).

Location was within walking distance of the train station and close to restaurants, mini marts and bus routes. Room was very clean and quiet, with plenty of outlets to recharge electronics. Onsen was beautiful and never crowded. Decor was very nice and modern. Laundry was convenient to use and price included laundry soap. Staff were helpful and showed us where they had free lockers to store luggage with our own pass code. Breakfast was delicious and filling (western style, with 2 options).

A second garbage can in the bathroom and a wooden hook to hang clothes in the bathroom would make it more functional without detracting from the sleek, modern appearance. More realistic drying time on the combined washer dryer would have been nice. I had to go down 3 extra times to add another 100 yen coin for more drying.

The hotel provided a very nice breakfast, it was in a great location very close to the Kyoto Station as well as number of bus stops. A convenience store was right next door and a department store was maybe five minutes away on foot. I really enjoyed the public bath, it was the perfect way to unwind after a day out in the cold. Overall, I really liked the design concept, it was a very pleasant place to be.

I failed to figure out if there is a way to adjust the temperature - it tended to get quite warm. Not a major issue since the outside temperature was very low and the weather was often miserable but on other days, you might want to keep it a bit lower. As for the breakfast, while enjoyable, there are only two options which could get quite repetitive if you are staying for more than a couple of nights.

The interior of the building was very pleasant, I really appreciated the theme of the hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was tasty and filling, worth the price in my opinion. We got a slightly bigger room and it was good size, any smaller would feel cramped. Really appreciated the facilities like the shared bath, washing machines and microwave. The location is amazing, it's a short walk away from the biggest station so getting around the city was easy, but it's situated on a quiet part of the street full of restaurants and stores. There is also a big mall nearby.

Pretty pricey and breakfast selection could use more variety.
