Within a 10-minute walking distance from the station, the neighborhood is quiet and local. They have detergent for the washing machine, and it also has a drying feature. The room is equipped with a toaster, a kitchen, a water boiler, and utensils for cooking meals. The room might feel small, but it has everything you need. The water pressure is also amazing, and you can have a relaxing bath after a long day. There is a supermarket within a 10-minute walk, and the nearby restaurants are delicious. I recommend 'Ginjo Ramen Kubota', but it always has a waiting line.

Location was great. Only 5-10 minutes walking from Kyoto Station. The room was very spacious. I liked that it was self-catered. You can grab towels/toilet paper/other amenities at your convenience, which is less wasteful than things getting replaced every day.

The bed wasn’t the most comfortable. It felt quite hard after three nights in a row. However, totally fine for a short stay. Also, the sink was in the same room as the shower, which meant I couldn’t wash my hands if someone was using the shower at the time. Other than this, very happy with the space overall.

The property is very close to the central station, which is very convenient if you’re doing day trips from Kyoto to Nara, Osaka, Arashiyama, etc. The room has all the necessary facilities, which is great. you can wash and dry your clothes, and the service is excellent, especially if you’re traveling in Japan for 2–3 weeks.

There’s no luggage storage available, but since the property is close to the central station, you have plenty of options there to store your luggage before check-in or after check-out.

The room feels like a mini small apartment very small) Have kitchenette and washing machine. The bed can be folded, so there is room for a small table to eat. Also have small nice balcony. The hotel is located in a quiet neighborhood and only 15 minutes walk from the main train station. Close to bus stop (minutes aprox) for other site seeing in the city. They have all the amenities needed for staying. Really recommend, great value for money.

There is no option to leave the laguage after check out, but can store in the main station if you need.

This was our second time staying at this location. We dont mind the walk to the more popular areas which is 30 minutes if you have decent walking speed. Very cute quiet neighborhood. Close to Kyoto station and shopping area near the station. Check in and check out has always worked for us but it might not for others. The room is super clean and well appointed. The washer in our room was so helpful after traveling around for over a week. We also go the room with a small kitchen this time which was excellent for making things on a small stove and toasting things as opposed to just microwaving. Next time, we would stay here again!

The bathroom fan always has to be on which might be disruptive to some.

I love how complete the facilities are. You got a kitchen, toaster oven, microwave, fridge, even a washing machine. It is such a game changer. The size is pretty compact but since we came with backpacks, we have no issue with the room size. I love the fact that we could do our laundy conveniently. There are also some convenience stores nearby if you need to stock some foods. There's a vending machine just outside the building. I also love that the building is in the residence area, so it is pretty quiet.

It is not exactly that close to the station, though it is still a walking distance (It is not far, but not that close either). However, there is a bus stop no 205 very close to the end of the alley, so if you get tired, I guess you could take the bus from the train station.

Location, can walk from Kyoto station. And value for money, has everything we need for a multi day stay. Quiet traditional style neighbourhood, yet close enough on foot to the metro area where you can shop like crazy at Yodobashi Camera. I liked staying on the 4th floor and balcony to allow some fresh air. I liked having the fridge, washing machine, folding dining table and Murphy bed to help make the place feel like a small home.

The bathroom tap is the same as the shower/bath tap so 2 people can't use both sinultaneously. The fridge sometimes sounds like there is a monkey inside. Running the air purifyer at night is good, but the lights from the top of the machine are very bright when trying to sleep at night. Walls seem thin, so can easily hear others in neighboring rooms and corridor.

I stayed for 14 days in this cute little apartment, located less than a 10-minute walk from Kyoto Station. I chose an apartment with a small kitchen, on the 4th floor, which also had a terrace with a beautiful view of the city and the surrounding mountains. The kitchen was well-equipped, having everything we needed to prepare a great breakfast: pans, utensils, an induction stove, a hood, a mini electric oven where we cooked pizza and hot sandwiches, as well as a microwave. The host provided us with free oil and spices, which was a nice touch. The bathroom was stocked with shampoo, shower gel, and conditioner, all offered for free. The apartment was clean and had a washing machine, with laundry detergent provided by the host. Although room service is not offered, it wasn't a problem since we could request a Dyson vacuum for free to clean up. We also requested new linens, which were provided immediately, and we changed them ourselves. The beds were very comfortable, as were the pillows. The check-in process was extremely simple, and the person at the reception was very kind. We recommend this accommodation to everyone, as we have nothing but praise for the setup, cleanliness, and location of this apartment!

We absolutely enjoyed our stay. Yes, it is small, similar to other hotels across big cities from Japan, but is very well arranged and equipped so you have everything you need!

It was perfect! First the rate… GREAT PRICE for the … Location very near to the big train station and buses… (8 minutes walk)no way you’re going to get lost here. They will send you a txt after booking kind of weird, but don’t worry bottom line they respect times; cking IN/OUT on rhe times they said. They are PLENTY of lockers near them where you can store your suitcases 🧳. It is self service they have all supplies by reception, it was PERFECT for me bc I don’t like people in my room. They have good coffee and a kitchenette. The room hd enough space for me (solo trip) and the washer/dryer was a plus! It’s included! People in Kyoto like in all JN are polite enough to assist you if they can understand you (download a translation app recommended) however they aren’t very friendly, maybe because the language barrier.

Despite parking issue due to the property being located in a narrow street, the JP INN Kyoto Ekimae Izutsucho was clean, well maintained and featured all the items both solo and group travelers would need for a stay.

Guest need time to drop off luggage at the entrance during check-in, as well as loading luggage into a vehicle during check-out. Initially, there was a lack of understanding from hotel staff, after discussion the issue was resolved.
