I loved that the check-in was at the train station and we could drop off our bags for delivery to the house. The house is in a very good location, surrounded by many eateries and walking distance to the main street. Very comfortable space for a family. The house is very nice, well kept, clean and comfortable.

It would be nice to include more towel racks, ironing board, hanging space for jackets, toaster for the kitchen. The stove was not working and they tried to fix it but it was still not working so we could not use it. Bowls in the kitchen will also be good for cereal or soup.

The location and layout of this place was wonderful. It was only a short 5 minute walk to the Nishiki market and main strip and 10 minutes to Pontocho, 15 to Gion District. Price for the stay was excellent and was very comfortable for 4 people. Laundry machine and 2 bathrooms was great. The reception desk was excellent, and had a buffet of toiletries and personal items in case you needed. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

I have no complaints

Last stop of 4 cities on our family trip to Japan, and this was the best of our accommodations because it was extra spacious with two bathrooms (1 full, 1 half), a separate sleeping room for the kids on tatami mats, a sitting room and a washer/dryer. Location was a 7-10 min walk from a lot of shops and Nishiki Market. Everything was clean and staff was responsive.

Washer/dryer was kind of confusing. Would be helpful to have two pillows on the beds.

Property was great, roomy, offered great amenities like dishes, toiletries, laundry detergent . . . Location was excellent. Train station was ~5 minute walk. Lots of restaurants nearby.

Unfortunately check in is at a different location, it staff tried to make it convenient by offering to taxi us to the unit, or shipping our luggage there if we wanted to wander and make our own way there.

The place was clean and tidy. Everything was exactly as the photo. The reception was friendly and easy to communicate with as they have explained everything well in English.

If you have a problem with sitting on the floor, you have to give this place a pass as shown on the photo, there is no western style chairs and table as the living room will only have a cushion and low table for floor sitting. It is a fair bit of a walk to either station as well, even though it is within the city area.

Location is very quiet and close to many scenary spots & local restaurants. Check-in process is smooth - we were late but helped by responsive receptionlist online. Kitchen and bathroom facilities are good with perfect laundry +drying machines.

Cleaning should have been better, there was a leftover mask within the sliding door of upper level. Also the closest convenience store is bit further.

Superb location, a brand new-interior spacious townhouse with everything you can think of, two double beds, big traditional tatami room with super comfortable futons and fluffy blankets, small but well equipped kitchen, family room and the shower- you will not get enough of it. You are also provided with everything you need, ropes, slippers etc. all very cozy and nice. The stuff at the main hotel were all very kind and helpful, contacted us in advance to make sure we’re fine as the typhoon was approaching Kyoto. We loved our stay!!

1. Only a single hanger to hang towels in the shower or the entire apartment. I assume its an oversight but has to be corrected. 2. The entrance- for some reason the floor is very dusty/ or its fresh cement coming of the wall. You anyway take your shoes there and get into your slippers, but this is notable.

My adult son and I were travelling together. It was wonderful to be living in an authentic Japanese home in Kyoto. Fantastic location, walking distance to Gion, the river, the shops and Nishiki Market, train and bus stations. Supermarket five mins away.

We loved it but perhaps not suitable for those not comfortable sitting on the floor. If stairs are too difficult you do not need to use upstairs bedrooms.

The location was fantastic, the main road is very close and some point of interest can be reached by foot. The kitchen is tiny but well equipped (nespesso coffee machine, microwave, fridge). The washing machine works well. Rooms on 1st floor are comfortable. We enjoyed a lot this house!

The linen for the children were not included in the price of booking.com (even if we selected that we were travelling with our 2 kids) and we've been asked to pay for an extra cost.

The house with 2 floors is rather spacious. A short walk to a supermarket, public transport (train and bus), as well as the popular Nishiki market, is certainly a plus point for this property.

It was extremely tricky to carry a suitcase up and down the narrow stairs.
