The location is good and there is a subway station nearby which goes directly to the Kyoto station. The access to other parts of the city is possible by bus. The room was clean and the equipment were sufficient. There is a kettle, refrigerator, TV and a proper air conditioner in the room. On the third floor, there are two microwaves, three washing machines with drying function, and water supply. You can track the availability of washing machines from the TV in the room. So everything is very convenient. If you haven't booked breakfast with the room, it is possible to buy a voucher at the reception in the morning and get breakfast.

True, rooms are typically smaller here than in North America, but the room (and bathroom) layout was great and well organised so you don't feel cramped at all. There was fridge in the room, but also, a coined operated laundry was available. You could use the tv to checked to see when and if the washing machine was available or when your load was finished. It was a fantastic stay for 4 nights. The location was great. The subway/trains and bus stops that took you to Arashiyama, Fushimi Inari, Kiyomizudera, Kinkaku-ji, Kyoto station, etc., were close by (no more than a 5 to 10 min. walk). A 15 min walk to Nishiki Market or 25 min walk to the Gion district, if you wanted to walk but it was more convenient to take the buses there since the bus stops were so close. The hotel, room, facilities and amenities was what I would have expected from a hotel that would charge 4 times more per night. Truly a great value for a fantastic hotel stay.

good location, comfy bed, close to station and many attractions. Exchanging machine in lobby is very convenient and has reasonable exchange rates. Lot of compliment amenities in reception zone (pajamas, bath salt, shampoo, creme, tea, coffee, brushes and face masks)

breakfast selection was a bit strange for me as a European traveler

I stayed for a little less than a week so I haven't taken advantage of everything that this hotel had to offer, however I loved the location that allowed me to be close to the metro line as well as buses to visit various sight seeings like the Philosopher's path etc... Cleaning service left the room always amazingly clean. It is a very clean and quiet hotel. The room with double bed for a solo traveler is perfect. It may be a little small for 2 people especially if you have big luggages. If your stay is longer and you have big luggages choose a bigger room in the same hotel. The bed was very comfortable and the desk comfortable enough to do few hours of work but not longer than that, which was perfect for me as I was not there for work but just some writings.

I actually could not see anything that I did not like. Maybe the room would not be suitable for a long stay as there is no proper wardrobe, in case someone wants to hang all their clothes. But this was not something that concerned me.

I spent 4 nights at this hotel and felt completely comfortable. The location is very central, with excellent access to buses and trains. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. My room was spacious enough, I slept very well, and I felt truly taken care of. I especially loved the little extras available at the reception. I tried the bath powder and the face mask, and both were great! On my last day, I also tried the breakfast buffet, and it had everything I could ask for. I was particularly impressed with the matcha latte, delicious! All in all, it was a fantastic stay, and I thoroughly enjoyed my time in Kyoto. I can highly recommend this hotel!

Very nice and clean room. Most rooms in japanese hotels are small, but this one was designed very good so it seemes spacious. The amenities were wonderful - tea (darjeling, earl grey, matcha, ginger&honey…), skincare incl. facemask, haircare, bath salt, toothbrush, pyjamas and many more.The personnel was helpful and nice. You can even borrow an umbrella. Location is very good.

The only thing we didn’t like was the view. Our window was very close to another building. In the combination with low floor the room was very dark even in the middle of the day. It felt like a anti-bomb shelter.

I got a free upgrade when doing check-in so I stayed in a bigger room than the one I paid for. The bigger room in Japan is like a standard room according to European standards but as I traveled across Japan and had to live in smaller rooms most of the time, I was overjoyed ) The room is comfortable and I loved the bed and pillos (you have hard and soft alternatives). The room is sound proof and is well equipped. Location is quite alright, walking distance from two metro stations and relatively close to walk to the Central station, too

There is a laundry room, but it has only two machines - for the whole large hotel - so it is almost impossible to wash your clothes (I never could, and my room was literally across the hall from the laundry room!). The staff does not really speak good English but it is a common case and you can manage overall, people are very friendly and helpful

Location was fine for me as I love walking. The room was spacious and comfortable. The reception staff members were simply outstanding. Breakfast was very good and there was a wide spread of dishes and drinks. Cleaning room service was extremely efficient. Small gifts such as the Happy Halloween Bath Salt really make a difference. The hotel is great value at a cost of about 50 Euros per night including breakfast.

Check in is at 3 p.m., a bit too late in my opinion. Check out is at 11 a.m., which is slightly better. Many European and Chinese guests staying in the hotel are truly loud, which is not the hotel management's fault.

Great size room and under bed storage for luggage. We were very kindly upgraded on our room. Bed and pillows were super comfortable. Great wifi and room facilities. Lots of amenities available from reception. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Helped us ship our luggage to our next hotel. Great AC Plenty of outlets available in the room There is construction happening next door so there is no view from the room but this didn't bother us as the room is only for sleeping so I usually have the curtains closed in my hotel room anyway. Great shower pressue. Will definitely stay here again.

Very good location - subway, Keihan railway station and buses to all directions are near to the hotel. 10 min walk to the north near the river begins the nightlife district with bars and restaurants. Great view to the city and mountains from my room at 9th floor Very good breakfast for a reasonable preis

The chair was very small (like children size) and uncomfortable. Room cleaners forget small things - once bath rug was not there, another time they didn‘t check face tissues.
