The hotel is located in a quiet area and is within walking distance to the Gojo station and isn't too far from the Kyoto JR station. Also, more importantly, it's down the street from a Family Mart! :) The hotel itself is beautiful and I loved how aesthetically pleasing and serene the lobby was. The lobby also has complimentary amenities near the elevator such as pajamas, tooth brush, cotton pads etc. Oh! And they have a bookshelf full of manga in the lobby that guests could read in their downtime. The rooms were incredibly clean, decently sized and the beds were comfy. My friend and I each had a medium suitcase, carry on, and a backpack and we were able to make things fit in the room without feeling too cramped. The biggest standout to us though was the staff. My friend lost her passport somewhere in the Osaka JR station, and the front desk agent was able to make a few phone calls and located it! He wrote a note for her to hand to the Osaka JR station staff. I wish I remembered this gentleman's name because he was able to turn this whole situation around for her. Besides that, the staff in general were incredibly kind and friendly and helped make our stay a memorable one! They even helped us set up our luggage delivery to the next hotel we were going to stay at in Tokyo. I highly recommend this hotel and plan on returning the next time I'm in Kyoto!

First, we liked the location —it was not too far to the dowtown but it was close enough to the places we wanted to go in Kyoto. The train station was also very close to the hotel. The interior of the rooms were good: a mix of traditional and modern Japanese aesthetic with the tatami mat flooring. The room is also more spacious than the usual hotels in Japan. The staff were very accommodating, polite and helpful. We wanted to send our luggage elsewhere so they helped us step by step.

For its price, we found the amenities a bit lacking. Yes it had the usual laundry, ice machine, microwave and bath essentials but compared to the other hotels we’ve stayed in, the selection was less (no facial wash, shaving cream, face moisturizer, lotion).

No breakfast booked. Location very convenient with underground, shops and restaurants nearby. Reception staff very polite and helpful.

Even though booking includes all fees and taxes please note that a Kyoto city tax will be applied upon check in. Please revise under the beds during cleaning for there was quite a lot of dust.

Breakfast contents, staff and hotel location (10-15 min walk away from regional train station Kyoto Central Station, 2 mins walk away from metro station Gojō Station and very near shopping street, restaurants, beautiful temples, Nishiki area).

The room was very dusty, decoration and lighting behind the bed was lovely but it was so dusty that we have spent an hour to dust it off being allergic to dust would be impossible to sleep in there. It wasnt just a week or two's dust, it was a very thick layer of dust that would accumulate over months. Im not blaming cleaners for this but the interior design because that structure behind the bed with literally thousand little cells would take ages to dust for room cleaners. Second complaint would be about breakfast times, latest entry to breakfast room is 09.30 and they stop refilling food and drinks by that time.

The room is very traditional and spacious (enough for at least three suitcases). It was clean and the TV’s were keeping track of the washing machine, which comes in handy. Moreover the employers were so nice and multilingual (i.e. chinese, english, and japan as far as I’m aware of). They also give you the opportunity to leave your luggage behind (before and after check-in).

The washing machine was okay, but I personally found it a bit dirty. However, it was nothing to fret about.

The property is pretty, well located. Not in the center of Kyoto but very close to a subway station, bike rental places and easy in general to get around . They have. Self check in facilities and a lobby with lockers and place to leave your luggage in case you are early or want to leave late . They have washing machines (coin operated and get crowded ) . Rooms are pretty and super clean , staff is friendly and super nice . They share manga and Japanese graphic novels , umbrellas … nice vibe

Room was on the small side and with no storage space at all , so if you have luggage it is a squeeze . Also for breakfast they sort of pressure you to clear out early which is a bit uncomfortable . They have this policy of not cleaning rooms every day unless you ask . Ask!!

The room that was booked was good, with a comfortable bed, decently sized shower/ bathtub room, and a toilet that was separated from the shower room. The location for the hotel was very good also, being only 1 stop away from kyoto station and eligible when purchasing the day pass to use to get around kyoto. Though beware that the day pass only covers 2 of the lines that is part of the kyoto subway network, and getting to popular destinations will not be covered by the pass. One more add on is that in the lobby there is a place to store luggages, that is handled through a locker system for free to hotel guests since the check in is only at 3pm onwards.

Since the hotel primarily runs without the need of any attendants, it can be more difficult to get help when needed. You will be required to go through the phone line to get help for anything that the hotel provides as part of the stay.

The location of the hotel was great and within 5 mins from the nearest station (Gojo station), which was actually quite close to the other locations that we were aiming to travel to! Additionally, there were quite a few eateries nearby which was great (and a Family mart too)! The rooms itself was great and clean, with enough space to put our luggage and more! Loved the tatami mat where the bed was and it was super comfortable! The aircon worked perfectly! The bathroom was also large and spacious and had all the bathing essentials! Overall an amazing and comfortable stay!

We stayed in a family suite, and the room was spacious, clean and comfortable. We had a view of Kyoto tower. The beds were comfortable enough, a little hard for us but that is pretty subjective. No staff member was seen throughout our stay, as it’s all self check in. We had a coffee machine, and coffee/milk sachets were stocked up daily while we were out. The usual shampoo, conditioner, face wash etc was supplied. We were a 2min walk to Gojo station, with main Kyoto station 1 stop away. We used buses to get around, and there was a city bus stop across the road. Overall, we would stay again. Location was good, room was great.

No satellite TV, only Japanese channels.

Satisfied with the hotel and the room. Overall good value for money in a nice location. The room was small for two people but overall we were satisfied with the provided amenities. Room was very quiet and clean. Not too much interaction with hotel staff as check in/out process was done using an automated system but the staff we met in the morning buffet were very polite. Adequate number of options in the breakfast buffet. Hotel is located next to subway station and close to the Kyoto train station giving easy access to most touristic attractions.
